I identified it, also i tried shrine near crookspur but no effect when praying and resting there, however if i chose to desecrate the shrine pallegina likes it and i get good rep with her, probably this was removed from the game or something.

Any ideas ? I checked and this was the only achievement/beraths blessing points i didnt colect i saw some posts about taking palegina to some shrines and praying i tried it on poko kohora shrine but she did not react to that

well whole purpose of psion subclass is to be multiclassed with casters however i honestly dont find them good enough even for that in base game it gets a bit better with community patch

Fair point. Honestly i never played ascendant without a priest in my party, synergy is so good that one should always bring a priest if going with Ascendant. In general since you can have 5 party members with 2 classes on each of them i only played party without priest once, and that playtrough was specificaly no priest playtrough Anyway since OP will play on console without mods i would not recomend psion and just roll with beguiler or ascendant

In these cases Ascendant is far superior because you can ascend via self empower and SoT your ascendant while he Ancestor Memory the priest = win.

Well Beguilers only “have to” use deception spells first so they generate focus and then they can spend that focus on whatever spells they want. Also it helps a lot that Deception spells are the good ones that you always want to cast at the start of the combat . Imo to even consider playing Psion you need to use Community Patch as its horrible in base game. With Community Patch i guess psion is salvageable for caster multiclasses, but then you most likely dont want to have caster+caster multiclass because of action economy. Psions also lose Soul Whip which means they dont get free focus from things like preloaded firearms or thunderous raport, on the other hand beguilers can completely defy fundamentals of cipher ( need to use weapons to build focus) but can still use it when the situation is right for even more focus and more spell casts

I too have severe case of restartitis. For me it’s mostly because games gets too easy/boring past the mid game there are no real “difficulties” in unmoded games these days. Developers usually use an excuse that “hur dur not everyone makes op characters and we want everyone to be able to complete the game blah blah and so on” well that’s why games have different difficulties. I think at least the hardest difficulty should be really challenging and get even more challlenging towards the end game but it doesn’t. Yeh that’s why I finish 1 out of 10 Deadfire playtroughs I start. Past certain point you just know that this is not gonna get anymore interesting with current party and finishing the game would be a huge chore. Also it does not help that “solo” is a huge factor in PoE games, but if the game is balanced that solo characters can finish it then there is no way it can actually be challenging with a party.

Soulblade is only good for multiclassing cipher with other melee class. By default Beguiler is miles better than anything else, you can build Ascendants to be really really good but that requires some meta gaming and help from other classes. Issue with Psion is ... Beguiller. Beguilers can build tons of focus just by using spells that cost focus basically giving them infinite focus thus making Psions very useless. Don’t think vanilla ciphers are ever worth it.

Death God-Like watchers gets plenty of special dialogue ,Tekehu is kinda involved in Neketaka life,Eder has all kinds of banter for almost every situation,Xoti is only cool if you turn her dark, Serafen heavily involved in everything pirate related,last spot you can swap different Sidekicks for different dlc’s : Konstanteen for SSS , Fassina for FS , Ydwin for BoW these sidekicks gets special dialogues in these dlc’s otherwise they are mostly quiet in other parts of the game You also can bring maya and tekehu at same time as they represent different factions, you can also influence their relationship a lot basically from fighting to romance

Old writing squad is gone from obsidian, at this point it’s unrealistic to expect new writing squad to deliver as much as the old one did. if you are a fan of old obsidian titles, then your only hope is to look for projects run by Sawyer and ignore the writing and play for the systems Sawyer is so good at crafting - that would be deadfire

It’s hard to compete with ciphers in usefulness especially if you pick Beguiler. But since you gonna be playing on Veteran Arcane Archer without patch will be good enough you can look up Boeroers build for Arcane Archer/ Paladin it is really decent, another interesting build for Arcane Archer is Wildrhymer AA/Beckoner it’s just one man army that can flood the board with summons and nuke enemies with AoE spells mainly Imbued Fireball and Eld Nary also puts all the unused scrolls to good use since you will have maxed arcana. Honestly on veteran any build you can think off will be decent since you will over level everything so hard and enemies won’t even have PoTD buffs from mid game you will be destroying everything and you get to mid game by doing non combat quests in neketaka.

Well if the lists are misleading they don’t really help new players do they ? They just mislead them so yeh they aren’t useless they are worse than that. Anyway any tier list that does not involve full character builds is beyond useless since what’s S tier for one build is F tier for others.

To play Arcane Archer you probably want to use Community Patch as it fixes some scalling issues,also arcane archer is best used with firearm Kitchen Stove+Wild Barrage upgrade at least for your Imbue Spells because Wild Barrage+driving flight means you will be launching 4 Imbue Spells instead of one. However you only need Kitchen stove for launching imbued fireballs so use it in secondary weapon set and for main weapon just use Essence Interrupter(enchant it so all summons are friendly before using it) it’s very good

Seems to be a bug, maybe you have an old save that went trough different patches. I’m sure I had several playtroughs where I clear crookspoor before going to Wahaki and they were happy enough to ally with the queen,unless maybe there is a dialogue option they don’t like or something like that. P.s. just kill the queen she is too stupid to leave alive anyway.

Play some kind of Trickster

Just hire any Druid with Charm Beast max druids intellect and perception, you will be able to use it 3 times with self empower, cast charm beast and it will charm like half of the enemies then quickly focus the ones that aren’t charmed once charm ends cast it again and repeat and then 3rd time if you still need it. This will work best when pulling enemies way back, like leave your party on upper part of platform pull with tank and run back to your party so enemies chase your tank around the corner and then they will all bunch up for charm beast. This is by far the safest choice if you want to kill that group,make sure you always target the big drake with your charms and kill him last. btw there will be plenty fights like this in Deadfire where you have to know what’s exactly going on and what to do or else you get wiped, however once you got basic idea all fights become extra easy not the best design imo

Yeh i found it weird that I can stack potion of luminous adra and wild mare inn buff for + skills and then I tried to add prostitution buff on top and it also stacks for total of +4 to skills, but I think other prostitution buffs stacks with everything else too if I remember correctly +1 INT from Konstanteen “massage“ stacked with INT inspirations. Is courtesan buffs stacking also a bug or what ?

I’m wondering maybe abilities that grant you something for entire combat are considered passives ? Or it’s might just be a bug ...

Sorry it’s No Time for the lost, the upgrade to no pity to the lost that adds +10 seconds beneficial effect duration and you can self cast it while in vanishing strikes mode and hit yourself for beneficial duration, what I noticed from party play with sc assassin is that Blade cascade is bound to trigger in longer fights just from smacking the enemy. Anyway I assume for 4 biggest mega bosses I will have to resort to gouging strike cheese to Finnish them off but honestly if that’s the case then they are not worth wasting my time on since there is no sense of achievement , fun or gameplay in gouging strike and waiting however it all depends how far I can damage them in 4-5 mins of Vanishing Strikes . What I care most is killing DLC bosses and Guardian of Ukaizo without cheesing with permanent dot.

I’m mostly thinking about big boss fights where I would need to stay in vanishing strikes permanently and auto them down with blade cascade which i can have for very long time with 35 intellect and +beneficial effect duration bonuses also No Pity for the lost adds 10 seconds to blade cascade and vanishing strike , with wits of deaths herald this should be possible maybe. Gambit definetly good option on fights with smaller enemies but those you can reset after each kill anyway I don’t think I can gambit reliably on the bosses tho

Can you even Vanishing Strike as solo and stay in combat because you keep auto attacking the enemies ? Better to find this out before I wasted more time on solo assassin run i noticed that assassin boots from deck of many things ends the combat instantly and then you enter the combat again immediately but without the invisible buff

I was refering to party play,in case of solo Invisibility is the king that is true. Not sure how good solo universalist would be tho never tried one ( tho I’m sure any priest character can solo no problems with ultimate cheese BDD SoT Wits or deaths herald combo ) but this multi class combo is made for enabling glass cannon no real tank parties on difficulties above potd. Since it fits both priest and Druid in one party slot and then you can go with 2 bruisers and 2 ranged damage dealers and nuke the **** out of enemies before they have idea what’s going best defense imo is dead enemies.
