I guess I'm still stuck on the first post where the OP said he feels video games are not art (yet). I'm not really sure how literature came into the picture. Especially when he mentioned stuff like Thief and whatnot for not having static text segments or cutscenes.

I guess I'm going to have to step back as I'm kind of confused what this discussion is about.

I didn't have much problems running it either, with the exception of the memory leak which would require me to be playing it for an extended duration. I have 1 GB of RAM too.

Hehe, both teams struggled defensively IMO. I actually felt the Oilers were outplayed, which is unusual lately. Though it results in us winning rather than losing, so I'll take it! I just knew Pisani was going to score, because we couldn't watch much more of the game because 24 was starting in just minutes! And man, I am totally impressed with Ryan Smyth's ability to deflect a puck (and Perry too, but I've seen it so many times with Smyth). A 'nice' goal by Pisani to tie it up too

Unless Sony has developed a bunch of fantastic dev kits and a collection of magical libraries and compilers that abstract out the array of SPUs somehow, it seems very likely that the PS3 is a lot harder to program for. It's not because it used a new processor architecture, it's because of what that architecture looks like. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And I've heard that the XBOX 360 isn't much better. In order to fully utilize it, you'll still need to take advantage of multiple processors and multiple threads. From what I understand, once you start getting that working well, it doesn't matter so much if you're going from 2 to 20. I'm not convinced that it's so much easier to get working with 3 as apposed to 8.
