I like Operation Flashpoint right up until I had the squad commands to deal with. I just sucked so much with them that I really, really struggled from that point on. I remember being stuck behind enemy lines at one point, and that was a lot of fun, avoiding tanks and patrols so I could get back to base.

Can't be any worse than the day Half-Life 2 was released.

My next computer is likely getting 2 GB, just because memory is cheap (and I finally have a decent paying job).

I don't know if we ever knew what it was "about" perse. Just that it involved Duke. Of course I could have just forgotten too. To be honest, a bit of me hopes the game somehow kicks serious ass.

It sounds more like you've overextended your RAM and are now using virtual memory, if you're getting that much HD usage. How much stuff do you have running in the background? Any other areas that memory might be getting used up?

It's typically been just MP in the past. I suspect it's a lot like CS:S and will just be MP as well. With respect to the rifles, the German MP44 was a very, very effective rifle.

I honestly could not care less. Meh. In other news, the Pacific Division has everyone with at least .500 records against division opponents :D

I do have a good harddrive. Not sure on the speed exactly, but it is an SATA drive. 160 GB. I do notice a bit more stutter now than when I first played it (which is when I first got my computer). I suspect my OS has become a bit "bogged down" as Windows OS' seem to enjoy doing.

I guess I'm still stuck on the first post where the OP said he feels video games are not art (yet). I'm not really sure how literature came into the picture. Especially when he mentioned stuff like Thief and whatnot for not having static text segments or cutscenes.

I guess I'm going to have to step back as I'm kind of confused what this discussion is about.
