Civ 4, is it better when all is said and done?
Because if you don't want to lose, you are forced to finish it before the AI does. Which is a forced, artificial endgame as soon as the technologies are discovered, as the AI goes for it even if it's painfully obvious they don't stand a chance. I don't much like space victory either. It keeps my industrial centers busy building useless crap when they could be building overwhelming amounts of stealth bombers... " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So having the space race would make the game more difficult, would it not? There are other ways to stop the space race, as Enoch noted. My solution was to literally attack the crap out of them. If they wish to build SS components while I'm invading them, then that's their perogative.

NHL
I didn't watch the game, but Don Cherry and Ron MacLean felt Belfour was pretty solid. I guess he was the first star. In other news, I guess Mike Morrison asked to be in the game against Vancouver to redeem himself from his previous game against them. Kudos for a goalie to show that kind of determination. He had a very good game too! It's wierd, suddenly Edmonton has Vancouver's number!

Civ 4, is it better when all is said and done?
If we should never lose to the computer in a space race, then why do you disable it? I found Civ3 to be just as easy on the "balanced" difficulty as Civ4. Actually a bit easier as the stack of doom is goofy.

NHL
I should get some dinner before the game. I forgot that there was a game on.

New Oblivion Interview
All part of the fun. Though he brings it on himself.

New Oblivion Interview
I can't resist! Fixed!

New Oblivion Interview
Heh, it's bad design for the game to just abort because a character is missing

Star Wars Cantina
Jedi Power Battles was fun! I have also heard very little good about Obi-Wan. I remember there being some hoopla because part of cancelling the PC version of it was a public memo from Lucasarts stating a recommittment to quality on the PC side.

Star Wars Cantina
What's Battlefront 2's jedi combat really like?

New Oblivion Interview
I tried going back into the first thread. He was mostly just laughing hysterically. Volourn seemed quite upset, as did roshan.

Intuitive Rules - 2nd Ed. AD&D vs. D&D 3E/3.5
Errr, I was looking at it just from a "What is Armor Class" point of view. I felt it was rather PnP/CRPG neutral.

Intuitive Rules - 2nd Ed. AD&D vs. D&D 3E/3.5
I am quite sure that these people make up a significant portion of the AD&D community. My apologies.

NWN Writing Contest - The Modules
I will take it under advisement though.

NWN Writing Contest - The Modules
I am making one for NWN2. What would be my motivation to make one for NWN right now?

Star Wars Cantina
They are action packed Jedi games. Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast is probably my favourite, especially in terms of story. Jedi Academy probably had the best combat though. Plus you could have a double bladed saber or two sabers if you wanted. The original (well...Dark Forces 2) is a ton of fun too, but you'd probably find it pretty dated by now.

NWN Writing Contest - The Modules
Getting into the top 3 would still be exceptionally difficult. I know that being a finalist doesn't guarantee employment, though I suspect this was not aimed at me.

Star Wars Cantina
There are plenty of people that love JK the way it is.

Jagged Alliance 2
Except I was never able to aim for the head of a prone target. At least not with the obvious "head, leg, torso" options available. I know with full auto you can still aim for the head even if it doesn't say it, by pointing at the head. Does it work the same with with prone people?

Whatever happened to F.E.A.R ?
Soldier of Fortune may have been "gory" but it was so over the top that I didn't find it disturbing.

KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Ah, but if they don't put it in a way for a player to be a Jedi from the start, you have no problems playing the game where you're eventually forced to be a Jedi?

Disappearing Tanks!
Hahaha. Sorry D_R, I had to reply to that :">

NWN Writing Contest - The Modules
I agree with Aurora. One of the main reasons why I didn't enter was because I felt I didn't have enough noteriety in the NWN community to garner the "popular vote." How many of these people have friends that vote 10 for them, and 1 for everyone else?

Jagged Alliance 2
Why the leg shot? I never really saw the purpose. It was nice if they fell down, but it seemed quite rare. I suspected they would limit APs, but I could never verify. I'd usually use the torso shot to get a confirmed hit with less AP, and then use the fact I'm aiming my gun to go for the head.

New Oblivion Interview
" To nitpick a "Fixed" quote is just being bitter. And reflective of not having anything else to really say. It probably stems more from the fact that you like to regurgitate said opinion of the game, even though we're beyond caring. If you didn't feel compelled to make yourself noticed by posting something like you did, you wouldn't have had to endure LoneWolf's post.

Jagged Alliance 2
I hope so. I'd like to think I didn't completely forget about a game feature :D
