  1. Pls explain me this also: e.g I have druid in spiritshifted form with wildstrike shock(30% weapon dmg as shock dmg)+greater wildstrike shock(15%)+heart of storm(20%). I give 50 dmg from pure attack and then: -50 dmg *(30%+15%+20%)=50*0.65=32.5 shock dmg so 50+32.5= 82.5 overall dmg output or -50 dmg*(30+15)*0.2=(50*0.45)*0.2=22.2*0.2=4.5 so 22.5+4.5=27 schock dmg so overall 50 pure dmg+28shock dmg = 77 dmg output which version is correct?
  2. Talents with elemental dmg improvment don't work with all skills/spells(wizar,priest,druid) with DoT effect or You ment certain chants like The Dragon Thrashed ? And for confirmation: scion of flame etc. would increase pure lash dmg from weapon attack?
  3. We're taking about pure weapon attack, not from skills. So when I have sword with crush dmg+ fire lash dmg enchant, I'd have 25% fire dmg from crush dmg. Then I'd take scion of flame talent my result would be what? crush dmg+ fire lash dmg , so 25%+20% increased by scion of flame=45% of first primary crush dmg? So in Your opinion talents which increase elmental dmg, work on everything: skills/ lashes from pure weapon attack/skills which works as lasheses (FoD,Aefyllath Ues Mith Fyr), not just with skills with DoT effect like Combusting Wounds, same as periodical skills such as Wicked Briars(assumig that this skill would have elemental dmg ofc)?
  4. So talents which increase elemental dmg, also increase lash dmg from pure weapon attack or only in case of FoD, where skill give "full attack" effect? And second question: what Druid's Purge of Toxin does? which exactly skill/effects it's healing, please give some example?
  5. I'm courios about new difficulty level from act 3 to the end. Don't have steam version, so question for You players: is combat really better , more challenging? At this moment in my playthrough on PotD I leveled down my party from 10 to 8 lvl before enter to Twin Elms. Before that I was doing mostly everything, side quests, do some white march and surrounding areas, grab Zahua, just not finishing Caed Nua from lvl 10, not entering dwarfs fortress, not recruting Devi of Caroc. I was playing with 25% nerf exp mod, which give about 9-10 lvl before act 3. And wondering now, is it better to wait 3.0 and try play with these new scalling up options for act 3 or just delvl my party like I did and not special worries?

  7. Afraid so (I recall one of the devs' saying this, but I can't find the link.) Ok I red patch notes 3.0, and I suppose it's applied to WM Part 2. So whole new content in new expansion is most likely about these new features at Stronghold? Or I just missed some information about White March 2 and what it's gonne to have? So what is the point to continue playthrough with WM 2 , when I'd be forced to start new game if I wanne experience new content?
  8. About new features at Stronghold: correct me if I'm wrong. E.g I'm in act 3 wright now , my stronghold is well developed, not finished Caed Nua, so When I'd install WM Part 2, I'd miss some missions and content provided by new features at stronghold, unless I'd start whole new game, yep?

  11. Hi again. Finally I'm back to the game and reached Twin Elms. I was also in Stalawart,grab Zahua, do some quests, clear some maps, not entering dwarfs fortress. I'm on level 9,PotD and wondering if level 9 is good for challenging (not easy kill without managing party members) game in Twin Elms? What is estimated level of enemies in Twin Elms?In Stalwart and surrounding areas I had problem only with Lagufats. Maybe I should delevel my party as @Ymarsakar mentioned? If I really need to go down with my level , what precise level would be good for PoTD in Twin Elms?

I have question about chant " Aefyllath Ues Myth Fyr": does it work and add extra dmg with scion of flame? or it just stricte lash damage like from weapon and won't get profit from elemental talent damage like scion of flame? very similiar sytuation like Wildstrike Shock and Heart of Storm for druid, Wildstrike Shock supposes to work like lash damage but still he gets profits form Heart of Storm, so one talent improve another as Aefyllath Ues Myth Fyr is also skill ( like flame of devotion and scion of flame correlation), scion of flame as a talent and Aefyllath Ues Myth Fyr as a skill should work also with each other? So Aefyllath Ues Myth Fyr will give lash to everything, skills and pure attacks from weapon. Question is if I take scion of flame it will works all together : skill like fireball+scionf of flame+Aefyllath Ues Myth Fyr, scion of flame will improve fireball which improve lash from Aefyllath Ues Myth Fyr, but same lash from Aefyllath Ues Myth Fyr get bonus itself from scion of flame? And in case of weapons attacks scion of flame would have impact on Aefyllath Ues Myth Fyr? or just Aefyllath Ues Myth Fyr is pure lash damage like from weapon, and no talent would have impact on it? what's Yours expereince in this case ?
  13. yep i know this, but i wanne to open poe unity3d files and try to mod some skills, just dont know how to use this assest editor i have some outdated mod from nexus, which aren't compatible with current version of the game, everythign works except animation i red that it can done do via hex editor, just need to know what to change and what is responsible for animation that's why it need to open and see skill file in unity If you follow the directions on the asset editor page you can open the files. Even though they are not supporting it you can still look at files. I think there are just some missing scripts and such from current patches. You need a pro version of Unity 4.X then download the update from the site. Then open Test2 as a project. You will then have the Pillars Editor Menu option. thx a lot finally managed to open test2 thanks to yours instructions I just set no animation in Unity, save and problem with pink square has gone even this asset is out of dated better no animation att all than purple glich

I try to test it and what I sea was something like that: -active unbending, take hit 30 dmg point and info appeared something ~30 heal point over time and it was like this every time, amount of dmg and similiar effect heal, effects stucked each other so either sth wrong with my version or skill is badly described, because it was sth 100% dmg=100% heal over time

  16. We haven't updated that tool and we've generally decided not to support it. We've instead focused on inserting code into the routine that loads the data from the Unity files and changes them. Obviously that won't help with texture issues, but if you're looking to mod game data, it's considerably easier and doesn't require a Unity license (which is either expensive or has to be acquired through ethically questionable means). So far, I've built the stuff that lets you mod abilities (and by extension, talents, which are just mostly abilities behind the scenes). I also plan to do something similar for the advancement tables (so you can control when spells are unlocked, how many ability or talent points you get at levels, etc). Are there other areas you'd like to see more easily moddable? You mean IE Mod itself? So at this moment no chance to open and find out what line is responsible for pink texture and change it in hex editor?
  17. True, however 'over time' effect tick every 3 seconds (unless stated otherwise). I this case heal will tick for 21 HP every 3 seconds. Last tick will heal for 14 because it has only 2 seconds duration. As for DR, it is substracted once from total incoming damage and result is split into ticks, for example: 100 damage over 15 seconds vs 10 DR. 100 - 10 = 90 90 / 6 = 15 ( 6 is a number of ticks ) Spell will tick 6 times for 15 damage. DoT spells should not be confused with periodical damage, such as Ectopsychic Echo, that are reduced by DR every time they hit. I cast Maggots on targets with less than half HP. It did abysmal damage. It's either bugged or the most UP spell in the game. What does determine 6 ticks number in that case with 100 damage over 15 seconds vs 10 DR. Is it subsctracted somehow from this 15 sec? In terms of Maggots: intended effects is damage equal to 10% of enemies already decreased points of endurance?mob has 250 endurance, I took 100 points already, so when i cast this skil my dmg would be 10% of 100? 10 dmg over 20 sec?

How does it work? it deals damage equal to 10% of enemies already decreased points of endurance? mob has 250 endurance, I took 100 points already, so when i cast this skil my dmg would be 10% of 100? 10 dmg over 20 sec? btw. how DoT is calculated? some skills has description that dmg is per sec, so it's easy to calculate, but what about with rest? when i have skill with dmg or hp regen which says " 140 hp over 20 sec" - it means that overall amount would be exactly 140 points , so 7 hp per sec? same with raw dmg lets' say" 68 dmg over 16sec" - 68/16= 4,25 sec? but what about when we have no raw dmg? every time per sec this amount is calculated with DR of enemy?

  21. Wow, so what were bottlenecks like with (essentially) six melee? Or did you always try to kite enemies out of bottlenecks or something? At a doorway I'd try to stealth rush into the room. Kana, and Devil both had ranged weapons on switch so could do ranged if needed. Also both Monks had Flagellant's Path so after 3 wounds they could zip across the battlefield. Even when only one of the Monks could engage in the doorway it was perfect for Torment's Reach. The cone would hit a lot, and as fast and as hard hitting as it is it'd kill the crowd pretty quickly. Sagani was the only real soft target and she was always way in the back. With Stormcaller once that lightning storm procs its game over for the bad guys. Who heals in Your party and how? I don't know every class/characters yet so that's why my quesyion, wanne know diffrent variants.
  22. Ok subject of choice to go or not to White March is back. POTD difficulty I'm on act 2 before the finish and travel to Dyrford I guess , doing every side quests,2 bounties, 9 floor's Od Nua, playing with 50% exp increase and nearly 8 lvl complete. Honestly even with this 50% exp mod, fight in main plot is somewhat easy like for POTD. I can't imagine to not doing side quest , wanne enjoy every aspect and content of RPG. My main question and dilemma is to go to Stalwart just now, or wait to lvl 9 and use scale up option( as far I know it's available min. at 9 lvl)? Which's is better option? What will be more challenging and satisfying, going on lvl 7 and try to complete White March or do it with scaled up version? Somebody says that this scale up option don't improve significantly level of difficulty. So what to do ? -wait until same end and than go to WM, which give the best and the most balanced/ hard available way of complete main story and than with scaled version also hard, challenging extra content -go on lvl 7/9, but if in this case after compliting WM would main plot be definitely too much easy? or maybe don't care about it?From what I red so far, one way or another main plot would be easy , as projected for the most common walkthrough. Variations are a lot, 50% exp increase , square progression exp. which give even more exp needed to lvl, delevel characters or decrease number of party members. POTD just mention. What were Your choices and most satisfying/challenging walkthrough on POTD with White March extension?
  23. there are so much posts/opinion.. don't understand some things. But in shortcut: can anybody explain me this what wonders me most: what is the whole point and diffrence/ advantage/disadvantage between 6x times multiple DR and one DMG? don't completely understand what these authors wanted to say. I see this choose betwen pistol/blunderbuss like : - blunderbuss 6x average dmg with average DR enemies versus good pistol but not as good, which give better result and outrun pistol on NOT POTD -blunderbuss 6x very poor/min dmg with high DR enemies versus still good pistol , so pistol wins on POTD but still I dont get this thing with 6x DR penetrating versus one
