Oh I expected Rodgers to get injured (we have no depth at offensive line and its been over 800 days since the last time our starting 5 have playeda down together in the regular season), but I thought it would happen 4 or 5 weeks into the season so to get our hopes up first.

I finally stole a ship. I'd encountered a pirate landed ship earlier and cleared out the pirates on the ground, intending to steal it for myself. Stupid thing to do. Of course they left a handful of guys on board so no one could wipeout the guys on the ground and then just take the ship. They flew off when I killed the last pirate on foot. The next time I saw a pirate ship landed I just ran inside and killed everyone and took off. They had contraband so I had to ditch it before I could dock in a settlement. Paid a few thousand for an updated registry and boom! New ship. Still got that new corpse smell.

I went with the Bouncer background. Got bonus pay from UC gigs 'cause of 'relevant work experience'.

I've been playing BG3 and Starfield. BG3 has far more bugs and niggles than Starfield. All the complaints, be they genuine or not, are tied to the limitations of the engine and not due to bad design. Is it 'good'? That depends. Do you like Bethesda games? If so, yes. If not, no. As for the standing animation. At no point in the game are you locked into sitting down to have a conversation. You might do so for immersion. Heck, I did that just a few hours ago before chatting up a bartender. But choosing to sit in a conversation is also choosing to get your ass shot off as you're locked into a standing animation 'cause you suck at talking. To me, that seems to be emergent choice and consequences working as intended. 🤷♂️

Co-op in and of itself wouldn't've been the end of the world, but I got the impression that they wanted it so that each player had one character to control, thereby having a 'party based' game without having to make companions. That kinda co-op I would've hated.

Pentiment and Grounded aren't on GOG (yet). I think we have our answer. At launch it probably won't be on GOG. It will come later, if it does.
If we really want to play this game then the Devil of Caroc is technically immortal and the game could just as well be set 20 thousand years into the future. At this point we've both said our piece and disagree.
You're right. I was using my POE1 guide book and it doesn't list elf lifespans and for some reason I remembered it being the same as humans, similar to orlans and aumaua. Dwarves also have a longer lifespan. I still think it's set around or just after Deadfire. The prequel talk has all been rumor.
According to lore elves are lucky to get 110 years in the same way humans are lucky to get 90.
