I find the game on PotD quite hard enough but I don't min-max and build partys around role-playing... if you want a real challenge try the DLC. If it is still too hard try not min-maxing. I really don't want the game any harder. veteran is too easy - potd just about ok - except the DLC which is just insane and not very fun. I remember playing BG and BG2 / IWD etc and never found them as hard as POE is on PotD. The fire dragon with Carsomyr was a piece of piss compared to the adra dragon. the alpine dragon or the two with llengrath are harder still.

I have me (Fighter 2h sword), palagina, aloth, xoti, maia. My big problem is I don't have any way of causing confusion... aloth doesn't have that spell and I don't have anyone who can charm either. Its my 2nd time on PotD in deadfire (upscaled) and I find it too tough - I don't min-max, maybe that would help? I might try and play potd with upscaling off a few times until I get used to it. Towards the end of the game the fights are way too tough! I just thought I would go kill nemnok - he wasnt too hard on veteran, but at level 19 on potd its bloody crazy. There are about 30 people with him that surround me and kill me in minutes. What makes it worse is seeing people solo him on youtube

Hi Bmac or whoever else an help me. I'm able to parse the aiscripts now and can list them and display them in my app (react based electon app) - the conditions and actions I'm able to match to their stringtable translations and can output what they are but now alongside the text labels I'd like to display the icons associated with those abilities - like barbaric rage, flames of devotions etc. Are the images that represent the abilities used in the AI editor also easy to read/parse in the game data? Is there a dump of them that modders can use?

If you have a druid, is it worth getting the wildstrike abilities? I mean it only applies when shifted, which doesn't last long. I picked wildstrike frost at level 3 and just attacked Governor Clario for a laugh just to see what the wildstrike did (didn't know he was a chanter!) - after attacking him three times whilst shifted only one attack got frost damage and that was for 1 point of damage. That seems pretty crap to spend an ability point on

Without being some kind of chanter multiclass??? Every video I see of the fights involved a chanter of some sort using their infinite power supply that other classes don't have. I just found one with Dorudugan... Again as chanter with endless skeletons. I'd like to see a solo ranger or barbarian take him down. He wiped out my entire party with a huge explosion. But a chanter can solo it... All be it from range I er 30 minutes

On lots of YT videos I often see people casting loads of spells/abilities right at the beginning of combat. At first I thought they were queuing actions but when I watch the videos they unpause and cast something else. Is this some kind of exploit??? Do all these spells get cast instantly? I know that Disciplined Barrage seems to activate instantly if you are paused at the beginning of combat and select it.

Since I just installed the latest DLC I often find my party (with hand-to-hand weapons equiped) have trouble getting to a target. Even against single targets where we can surround him they will all group together in a bunch on one side even though they is space all around the target. Some of the party have weapons without reach and they still sand behind the frontliners not attacking. I have to manually move them to a new location behind the target. Has anyone else experienced this? I have never seen this happen before.
