1 - I don't understand why they couldn't import the initial stats... even if some classes now have different key stats - most min/maxers (of which I'm not one) seemed to ignore the key stats anyway. Same with race and class - or even just the name FFS... or has that become so different in Deadfire? 2 - not too keen on the pirates motive either... it seems like an over-done carry-on-esque farce. Just having ships and things is fine... but it seems to have been pushed towards comic stereotypes. I was hoping PoE 2 would just b like PoE1 with new quests - that is all i really wanted - there was no evidence of this pirate lifestyle anywhere in PoE - it doesn't feel like the same world. 4 - I think there are too many abilities - fighting now seems a secondary concern - everyone and there dog is using abilities/modals - there hardly seems to be any real fighting any more - normal people don't seem to exist, everyone seems to have "super powers" that can be used every fight. The realism of the game has gone sadly (see point 2)

I have got to Neketaka, I think I shall wait for the first patch before playing any more. Maybe try out a few Watchers of different classes on the first island. I'm really surprised that some people say they have finished the game already. Also there is too much of that old age problem in fantasy about keeping track of too many people and parties with unpronounceable names... "This YThrende son of Ytzuewerdss, captain of the <insert-ship name>... blah blah blah" - every where we go the cipher witch tells me about someone I have never met who he knows about. I have lost track of who is who and what exactly they have to do with the story, or why it matters to me - and Neketaka has just made this problem worse. There are so many fractions to help out and people - it's like rogue one and trying to remember what planet the actors are on - there are too many to keep track of. It's great that you go anywhere and do anything but I need some kind overview of all the information I have learned or maybe a list of people, families and their ships. It would help if the notes you make in the journal were shared across games - I don't feel like making notes every single game - who wants to do that? And why does everyone I meet know who I am and call me "The Watcher" - it's the middle ages, there is no "I'm a celebrity get me out of here". Even random paupers in Neketaka pass me saying "hello Watcher" - does no one else find that odd?

I can't believe none of this came up during play testing. You postponed the launch once... it should have been extended or just posponed for 4 months to give time to fix the bugs.

Sometimes I can't stack the same item when they are in quick slots. I have to put them in my inventory first otherwise they just get swapped. Also do any of the playtesters ever bother selling stuff??? Or do they just cheat and give themselves money when they need it. Selling is a real pain in the arse... every time I click on something to sell I have to then use the popup to specify how many... jesus I have loads of loot - this is going to take all day! at least add of some kind of way to "sell all" - like shift click or add a button to the pop up

I just encountered a drake and some xaurips... I managed to sneak up behind the dragon without them noticing us and then attacked him. Some of the xaurips attaked, like the priest, but there was champion who did nothing even when my party attacked him. We then went into a cave where there was some war chief xaurip.... he also did nothing and just stood there letting my party kill him and his friends

I use steam on two computers, both running ubuntu 16.10. I started deadfire on my first laptop and then installed Deadfire on the second. On my second computer steam shows that I played the game for over 10 hours but the saves made on my first latops are not showing for load. Load isn't even clickable.

I don't like this, I think pillars had it better. No one swapped spell books in PoE1, seems like some designer got annoyed that no one but him thought this was great and forced his view through that it would be cool to swap spell books. So instead of having spells that you can change as needed you now have to use a "different" spell book... and the number of spells you can cast has been reduced just to force you to swap books.

In the intial pirate attack there is a pirate with pistols who seems to be able to walk on water. He stands on the sea killing everyone - as no one has a ranged weapon no one can kill him - doesn't help that the entire crew just stand there letting themselves be shot. Why don't they move away from the shooter if they have no ranged weapons and can't reach him? Eventually if I run to the bow and let him kill everyone he boards the boat to chase me... but with eder and everyone else now dead it's a bit pointless.

Where is Eder?
ArnoldRimmer replied to fortuntek's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
eder died in the pirate fight for me... thanks to a pistol pirate stuck in the sea that no one could hit
