  1. Please make the journal notes persist across games. It is useless now that every new game starts without any notes that I have made. It makes me not want to keep writing notes. I know maybe you think it's a new game, so I shouldn't have any notes but unless you are going to eraze my memory, this argument is pointless. I know every game where to get a ranger or druid, where to find Whispers of Yenwood etc.
  2. I think it would be great if you could add "sell all" button for each stash category (armour weapons, etc.). Also a new category for stuff you want to keep and never sell - I have sold stuff too often just because there were 4 pages of weapons and I hadn't paid attention whilst trying to sell everything. Also get rid of camping supplies - I really can't understand why we can carry all the armour in the world (an incidently - no matter how poor a shopkeeper is, he always has a couple of 100K lying around to buy your stuff) but are limited to 4 days worth of camping.
  3. So what specs do you need to run the game? Will linux still be supported?
  4. Please make carnage connected to some other stat like might or dexterity... it's amazing how many super intelligent barbarians there are in the world - far too many
  5. Please use one of the paladin subclasses to make this BG2 subclass - or maybe make some kind of generic subclass that all classes can subclass to that specialise in killing undead.... oh year - please rename fampyr to vampire
  6. Priests/druids/wizards badly need some way like BG had to vary them - it gets a bit boring always having access to the same spells.
  7. yes, I hate that half the companions are onyl aquired when a lot of the game is completed... I think there should be a switch that you can enable - maybe when you have completed the the game once - so that all the companions are in the first pub you come a cross so that if you want try out different parties you can do so from the beginning.
  8. What the hell are you guys talking about? I don't see anything about pillars 2 in that first link or upside down 9/6s. I just see some crappy page with a sentence about gods.
  9. You're not missing much. After all the effort to get the pieces you end up with some bog-standard off-the-shelf enchanted sword. The last time I was so disappointed with a weapon forged from found parts was when I remade the equalizer in BG2
  10. I always take heavy armour but there is a good light armour in the sanatarium - I think. I don't make mine very intelligent, just 12-14. I like perception for acuracy and interrpt and give him a pike and put him on the second row behind my fighter and paladin. Lots of people recommend the grass pike but I prefer the one that reduces accuracy by 5 instead (I think in copperlane). This is great on carnage attacks and unlike tall grass, it happens on hits, not just crits - also monsters can have prone resistance makeing tall grass's prone even less useful. Once you have this pike take the interrupting talent. That is also great with carnage attacks.
  11. That happened to me... it isn't the bounty guy. Go further south-west (I think) and you'll find the bounty and his party
  12. What do you mean by "join your forces"? Become a party member? Get hired to protect your stronghold?
  13. She is part of my party, I can give her commands but she has no more selection circle. Is there anyway to fix this?
  14. I read on some posts on google that some modal abilities can be used whilst other modals are active. Is there some list somewhere that details which modals can be combined?
  15. I started a game on windows and have restared steam several times in linux but the games from windows are never synced. Is there some reason why you can't use a game started on windows on linux that woud be preventing the sync?
  16. When my druid spirit shifts I don't see any burn damage coming from the belt. I have the latest version of the game. Is this a known bug? in case it matters I haven't taken any wildstrike ability, I was hoping to save an ability and just use the belt
  17. No, it is only some scrolls and turning ai off doesn't matter. also nothing hits them to distract them.
  18. My favourite class is a kind wayfarer paladin, wizard or fighter. Not keen on monks, chanters or ciphers. Could do without these. Never liked theives much and now anyone can pick locks you don't need a thief like in BG2 which is agreat improvement. Don't like bad characters which is why I won't be playing the tranny game.
  19. I have a druid and a priest both with lore 8 but scrolls won't cast. It shows the scrolls icon and it looks like they are going to cast it but then they decide to attack. I don't have any class based AI as i prefer to decide when to cast spells but I have defensive set for the second AI option. Using the latest version of PoE.
  20. I hated him and that boo that took up an item slot... Minsc was one I could do without - I never used him ever.
  21. I found the characters ok... but when replaying I prefer to roll my own. Also it is annoying that most are only available mid to end of game when I have already invested time and money into my party. It would be better to have all the NPCs at the first village so you could pick and choose who you want (maybe after playing through the game once). Compared to BG2 it is a bit boring but is re-playable. I dislike that things have wierd names like fampyre and blights... just call them what they are: vampires and elementals, it would also make me associate what they are. I played the game 3 times before I realised they were vampires - up until then they were just the monsters a bit tougher than darguls who in turn are tougher than guls. I didn't even realise they were undead for ages... I though spirits were just undead and anything else was just some kind of monster. Also somethings just were not clear, like the leaden key. You get to defiance bay and find their meeting place... and then after that the story seemed to have forgotten all about them. Magic was wierd at first... I almost gave up on wizards and druids until I turned on AI and then saw how the computer used the same party and their spells. It teaches you a lot about how and when to use spells, and spells with crap descriptions sound bad but in practice are useful.
  22. Things I would like: * More class options or specialisation choices in pillars that come with some free talents and some hindrences to balance them out, undead hunter, fire wizard, water wizard etc. * After playing through once have the NPCs all appear at the main inn for you to choose from... I don't want to have to wait until lvl 12 to get some NPC... by then my party is full and I don't want to change it... also pretty pointless when 3/4 of the game is done * Allow people to carry four weapon sets * Have BG style ammo for ranged weapons * Give your choice of background a related talent. Merc gets arms carrier talent, clergyman gets vessel slayer or field triage, merchant gets a 10% discount on shop prices due to having learnt how to haggle etc. There are too many minor talents that are stupid to to take and thus never used. * Change stat requirements... currently everyone has to be super strong and super smart. * Better weapon focus... I don't see why I should only be able to use a crossbow with knight focus.... maybe my knight likes bows... but why should I waste a second talent on it? Especially since most of the weapons in a focus group don't make much sense. Why do nobles learn wand and sepcter but not rod? Where is the logic in that? Just let people select weapon focus and pick two weapons that it apples to.
  23. I just started a new party. I normaly never have ciphers or chanters but thought I may take a ipher insted of a wizard... but now I'm not sure. I just don't know how to use them. I have about 15 focus at level4 and can never really do much... I never really get enough focus to use more than the first level cipher stuff and they aren't exactly amazing. Should I retrain her as a wizard? There must be something I'm missing, everyone else seems to like ciphers. What stats are best for ciphers?
  24. In the temple under the city you meet this group of people, some woman tells you to go to do things (because she thinks you are someone else) but I have never really understood the point of this as nothing seems to happen after you have done the things she talked about. I have played through several times... can you just kill them? What purpose does this temple serve? I can't seem to see one, or maybe I just missed something... several times?
  25. You are playing with just one character??? why then take outworn buckler??? there are a lot better shields that will benefit your paladin more.
