  1. All this for that? No wonder the world is 'effed up. People get offended way too easily.
  2. You people are sick! You are all sacreligiously defiling the beauty of Scarlett Johanssen, a most shaggable goddess of lust! Stop I tell you, STOP with all this ambiguous gayness and pervertness of evilness-ah!
  3. They had Carth and Bastila in K2? What? Where? When? How? Someonce talked about them yes but they were never there.
  4. Too few indeed. Unless you count those MMORPGs which I personnaly can't stand, not having played WoW and all. What is the last Single-player RPG to be released on PC anyway? Dungeon Siege 2?
  5. Why not? Home of the Underdogs and other abandomware sites have all the classics(most are free, some must be bought) you could ever hope for and all the tools to run them on our super gaming machines. Unless graphic quality is a major thing for you, I would strongly suggest trying a few, if only for the history lesson.
  6. I never did this but I read on Bioware's KOTOR1 forum that if you play DS female, Carth shows up on the Starforge and you get to decapitate him. It's a secret ending or something. Any character that can die in any previous KOTOR game under any circumstances cannot come back in any future KOTOR game. In KOTOR3, none of the characters from that game should come back because nobody really knows what the heck happens to them thank you very much LucasArts(the hidden text files do not count)! The exeption are the droids.
  7. Hey I'm already grown up and still want to be in Scarlett Johanssen. "
  8. Nah. Too SWGish. More variety with items/weapons/armor though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not anything in SWG need to be bad, they made it bad ,but was not so <{POST_SNAPBACK}> true.
  9. Hey now. It also ended 2 years ago. Remember the victory speech on the aircraft carrier? I may not know my western countries but I know what GWB said.
  10. Nah. Too SWGish. More variety with items/weapons/armor though.
  11. Ok that makes sense. Except for Australia. How are they west of the Middle-East? Aren't they South-East? Being somewhat sarcastic here <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The west refers to all cultures that are predominantly of (western-)european origin : Europe, the Americas and Australia/New Zealand. The origin of the term is historical. qwb, <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok I get it. Makes more sense now thank you. So... when's the war startin'?
  12. I know. But even Fahrenheit isn't that good as the old adventures, and also not anywhere near as funny (seems logical..., but still a good dose of humor is always a + in adventures) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're thinking of Space Quest, Leasure Suit Larry, Monkey Island? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't forget Indiana Jones games!!! (w00t) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Last Indiana Jones game I played was on Atari 2600. Maybe Coleco I can't remember.

  14. LOL, yes, and why aren't there any virgins? We sacrificed 'em all! Hehe, seriously, in America all religions are allowed and recognized. It's a constitutional thing. It literally takes an act of congress to disallow a religion here; now disallowing religious practices that infringe on others or break the law is different. Believe it or not, however, some Indian tribes are allowed to break USA drug laws because their religious ceremonies require certain illegal/controlled substances. So our country bends over backwards for all religions, whether common sense finds said religions "worthy" or not. So I wasn't really trying to be a pain in the neck, lol. That distinction is very important here, where all religions, no matter how "silly" they may seem, are recognized. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think we are as openminded here in Canada. Raeliens were only recently recognized as an official religion, shortly before the clone scandal thing if i remember. Yet they've been around for a few decades now. Anyway, I think ALL religions make the human race very weak. It prevents us from evolving I think. But that is for another thread.
  15. I'm under 23. But you are right. Freelancer was just a Privateer wannabe. But remember that these games where made in a time were the Space Sim genre flourished, and Freelancer came in a time where the genre was as good as dead... Bit like Baldur's Gate and the RPG, or the current adventures (some are good, but sofar none reached the epic old level of LA adventures and such kind) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Try Farhenheit/Indigo Prophecy. VERY good adventure game. I miss space sims horribly. ST Bridge Commander and Freelancer did not fill the void. At all.

  17. I couple of comments here. First, I don't necessarily agree that everybody has the right to express their religion fully. It depends upon the religion itself, and if "expressing it fully" infringes upon the basic rights of others. Human sacrifice, for example, is pretty universally forbidden despite the fact that some religions still believe in it. Next, I agree that it was pretty danged insensitive to create the cartoons in question, and meant to annoy. Cartoons mocking Christianity are pretty danged insensitive too, but I doubt the world would rationalize Christians storming the streets threatening to kill people and inflict violence. Burning national flags is intended to be insulting, but nobody would tolerate folks of that nation rising up to incite violence because of it. When one specific segment of society is such a bully to society that it receives "special" treatment so it won't hurt society, then can you not see that there is something very wrong with that? If Muslims want to boycott Danes in their own country, fine. But it is not fine for them to incite violence, make violent threats, riot, or generally break the law. They are not special, dang it. The laws apply to them too. My thoughts. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry, I lack specificity. I meant ALLOWED/RECOGNIZED religions. Of course sacrificing virgins in Time Square would be... Distasteful. Thankfully, there are no more virgins
  18. No it wasn't. The West to me has always been North America. The East, Asia; the Middle-East the Arab countries then there is Europe, South America and Oceania(Australia, New-Zealand) all in no particular order of power or superiority. However I agree that for the Islam world, the West equals to Americas and Europe. Oh and before I get flamed again for my ignorance I would like to add 2 things. First, Ignorance is not stupidity. Second, I mean no disrespect to anyone or anything. Teach me something and you will be my friend
  19. Hum... Freespace 2. The rest, before and after, are crap compared to it, SW or not. Others: Starlancer Tachyon : The Fringe Freelancer <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are clearly under 23. Those games do not compare to my list. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm 31. Freespace blew me away. However, I admit to playing X-Wing for days. Probably in my all time top 10. I enjoyed it more than Tie Fighter. X-Wing was pure Space Sim fun. And your are right, aside from FS2, my list does not compare to yours. I was just stating other notable space sims.
  20. I don't about this video. Chuck Norris would win.
  21. I was confused. There is a freeware called DOSbox that allow WinXP to play old DOS PC games. I call your DOS box the Command window.
  22. Well, from where I'm standing, I think the West cares for Europe just as much as Europe cares for the West. I also think the drawing was just a plow to get some international attention for the newspaper in question. Apparently it worked to some degree. But I didn't hear about this outside these forums so...
  23. Actually, thats very close to what I'm writing right now. Except in my version, there is no Master Bastila, only Masters Revan and Exile. However, I don't really like the idea of Revan and Exile coming back in such an important way. I would rather hear or read about their progress than actually interacting with them in K3. I write about it, but I don't like it. Does that make sense? I'm just writing a version of possible outcomes...
  24. Oh by all means, which applies to all kinds of cults too. But everybody also has a right to express their views fully, and that includes making fun of religion. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm atheist so I'm all for making fun. But be prepared to deal with it. Religion is always touchy.
