  1. Yes, surely related to what is happening in Denmark.
  2. You have a sound idea, but would it be worth $50 or $20? Would you want to pay $50 for Knights of the Old Republic 2 again? Or, would you want to pay $50 for Knights of the Old Republic 3? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Though question.... ... NOT! K3! K3! K3! K3!
  3. I could beat NWN:HotU in 10-12 hours.
  4. Maybe a tree? Does it count as a plant? Sorry :">
  5. Obsidian is known more for being the former employees at Black Isle than the developers of kotor2. I'm just saying kotor2 is only one game and it was not enough to make a reputation for Obsidian. Hopefully NWN2 will do that, and they
  6. And I miss the REAL series :'( <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Do you mean the original? Yep, that one..where Starbuck is a male, and the World is not sexistic ...well,not SO much, and not so confusing <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But it has to be sexistic(or sextastic?)! They need to repopulate. REPOPULAAATE! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why they aren't usin clone-tech? Or at least normal medical sience to be pregnant only with one 'shot' ?...thats only weird, not story based <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You know they're not in the future, right? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But they're lot more advanced then we on Earth <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So? Having cloned humans would be too much like having cloned Cylons.

  8. Obsidian hopefully should make a name for themselves with NWN2. If NWN2 turns out good, then they can start living off of obsidian, not BIS. But your right, right now with one game, they are presented as a company with potential because of their past, not because of kotor2. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As a company, the only past they have IS KOTOR2.

  10. Interesting. Being captured increases the drama, at that point it shows the Exile can be powerful but not invulnerable. The near invulnerability of the NJO Luke, makes him a shadow of his appealing OT self. The mortality of a hero, despite his prowess can only serve to draw us into his story. The first PC you shouldn't forget; was captured in the Leviathan, tortured by the former master of the Sith academy on Korriban, arrested in Manaan. So your problems with being captured in kotor 2 are unfounded. I suggest re-evalutating both the PC's again. EDIT: It's the reason why Vader is one of the most popular tragic heroes in pop culture. Invulnerable heroes are hardly interesting. That's why the Superman universe has red sun radiation and green kryptonite. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats true Blivion. It's difficult however to write a character and make him cool while being rescued all the time. But it's still fun.
  11. Those bikes... have guns. Those bikes... can race. I see... dead people (w00t)
  12. I know what your saying, but Obi Wan after 20 years would probably forget about the astromech droid - and that really isn't a major issue anyway. Leia remebering her mother is a continuity issue, but again how much does it affect things? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nitpick issues rarely affect anything
  13. I had a conversation about this once. Vader was not mentioned as a Sith, but it was written in the original script. I don't know if that is true or not? I know in some comics he was mentioned as Lord of the Sith. I also have read a book once. I think it was called Shadows of the Empire. Vader was called Lord of the Sith in that book. Was it Goerge's idea to use the term Sith? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i think someone came up with the term and George, in all his wisdom said :''Ooooh zhat ssssoundss k3wl'' and adopted it. gave him something else to put on the toy packages and fill more comic books. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> According to the prequels ("G-canon") the Sith are the enemies of the Jedi. And so what if the creator of the universe picked the term "Sith" from the EU? It's now a part of his "canon". Also, the explanation that Darth is a shortened version of Dark Lord of the Sith, fits nicely with the fact that Anakin changed his name to Vader and was titled a Sith. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't care if it's canon or revolver and after his last 3 ''movies'' I don't put much importance on what GL makes up and neither should any Star Wars fan. The fact is that there is a continuity flaw in the Star Wars universe(there are many others) and that is the term ''Sith'' and ''Darth'' being a short abreviation of Dark Lord of the Sith. Darth was a name, not a rank in the OT. Some fanboy thaught it would be cool that Darth would be a rank and GL agreed. GL also agreed that JarJar would be funny and cool for kids when the fanbase was thirty years old on average. Anakin did not change his name, Palpatine changed his name. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well! In the OT we discover that Anakin is in fact Vader. So GL decided to give meaning to the changing of Anakin's name and decided that "Darth", refer to Anakin/Vader's title as a Sith. If there is a Jedi order, what is the name given to the opposing order of dark Jedi? Sith, is it not (Lucas thoughts I assume). Eps 4, 5, 6 only touched the surface as far as the mysteries of the force were cncerned. So nucleus or no, accept that things that were never explained before could be elaborated. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh I accept it. I also accept all the continuity flaws, like ObiWan not remembering R2-D2 or Leia remembering her mother being beautiful but sad when she was unable to see or remember and Luke didn't. I previously said I love Star Wars. but there are so many things that don't make sense because os so many people who think they know everything about it and make up stuff because ''it would be cool''. Unfortunately it usually is.
  14. What about Mass Effect, Baldur's gate 3, KOTOR3, Jade Empire 2 and all of their expansions? Ooooh MDK3?
  15. I finished TR2 withthat dragon thingy at the end. I tried TR3 but it sucked popsicles big time. Gave up
  16. You mean the good old days of the Ultimas and such, with the 8 patches just to get the game running (and then very unstable and with a zillion of bugs) ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok maybe not completely bug free. But definitaly playable to the end. Sometimes not however and the dev/pub got flamed big time and their stocks went down. Games were of higher quality then compared to today.

  19. Nope. You simply like it because it had more PC-Style RPGs, I think most people would agree that the SNES was the king of the 16bit generation. I agree with your point though. I'm with you on this. I know this might sound like a fanboy statement. But PS3 has already got my money. I'm looking at the Xbox 360 line-up and all I see are a few titles that just might be interesting, however, all those titles are going to be on PC as well and since I already have the superior machine... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is single most important reason why I never baught the Xbox. Its games eventually come to PC. All the better ones anyway.
  20. Sorry, but it simply doesn't work that way. The "nucleus" as you called it, isn't the first edit of the original Star Wars movies, it never has been and never will be that way. You may think that way, but that won't make it the truth. The nucleus of everything which has to do with Star Wars, is the original synopsis Lucas wrote. This synopsis has Darth Vader as the Dark Lord of the Sith, and the Sith Order as the enemy of the Jedi Order. Both the first and the final script of the first movie say that as well, and it doesn't matter one bit, whether the word Sith was spoken in the movies or not. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And as i am sure you know, a very large majority of everyone who has seen Star Wars Ep 4-5-6 from 1977 to 1983 had previously read GL's personal notes on his ideas about some movie taking place in space with some people in them that are twins with a father and stuff. Your argument is like saying that all cars ever concceived are directly derived from the first carpart ever conceived in like the 1920s. The first final product of Star Wars, the 1977 movie, is the nucleus from which everything else evolved from. Based on that, the word ''Sith'' is EU.
  21. I wasn't aware Hayden was a strong actor... The opposite actually. The guy who played Neo in the Matrix is Keanu Reeves. Malak : Christopher Walken Revan : Jake Gylhenhal(sp?)
