This thread is deep... So what if we, the solar system, are already travelling through space? Are galaxies fixed in the universe or do they move, like debris on the ocean? How long is our galaxy's lifespan relative to the universe? Is it an hour in a day or a second in a century? If FTL events happen all the time but our galaxy's life in the universe is like a grain of sand at the bottom of the pacific ocean, wouldn't we simply miss it? Too deep or too dumb?

In a game thats exactly what we are talking about since everything in a game is measured. As I said you have fallen for the hype , where as the game rules reflect the reality. Kind of like the whole chosen one thing in EPIII. Powerful , sure. But he still got his arse kicked by Obi Wan. The chosen one hype. The PC in K3 (without being a Chosen One) bringing balance to the force by exterminating all the Sith and at the end of the game you end up with 1 Jedi and 1 Sith, both in hiding? His story becomes legend and 4000 years later the legend becomes a prophecy. That would be cool, no?

I reinstalled Bloodlines last night. I can't run the game! I can create a character no problem. But then when the first cutscene loads, the progress bar stops halfway and I need to reboot! WTFF? I finished that game when it came out so this makes no sense. I changed my motherboard recently but everything else in my system is the same. Anybody know what could be wrong?

Thats what I think, as a non-believer. And I'm not trying to make anyone believe a word a say, only explaining what I think is the truth. What I believe, if you can call it a belief, is that we are organic machines. To die is to stop functionning, like an old car. Nothing happens, we just shut down. Our function is to contribute to the life and the evolution of the planet, like cells in the human body. Nothing more. That's my "belief".

Well, this is not the first time me and Mothman clash over religion. We are complete opposites. I do respect his beliefs however, no matter what insults I've written above just to p**s him off. I'm also surprised ANYONE would actually read anything little old me would write and actually care enough to write back. My life has shown me that nobody cares. So why should I? The genius of Dracula is that the entire thing is written as diary entries by the various characters. From the very beginning they talk about how they've compared notes, and they can't really believe all that they have written, but just chosen present it as is. It's a very compelling literary trick by Stoker to make his own characters doubt the events of the story just as much or more so than than the reader will. I know everybody's seen the films and nobody's read the book, but I do advice it. Dracula is a classic for a reason, and it's not just because it's a good excuse for gory horror. Heck, Dracula didn't even have fangs until Christopher Lee put them on. Try watching Browning's 1933 version of Dracula with (in my opinion the best Dracula) Bela Lugosi. There are no fangs anywhere. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So that makes it a multi-perspective narrative: multi-protagonist. Assuming the subjects of the diary entries are the writers. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It also makes the villain the focus of the story, not the "hero/es".

That would be Episodes 7-8-9. Based on T. Zahn's books. I would prefer something entirely original, with little to no references to the known STAR WARS universe. New species, new planets, new characters, etc that have only either witnessed and/or been victim to the events of the movies.

Well since you know nothing about me, thats a mighty big assumption but that is beside the point. I was puzzled by all the back slapping and praise heaped on her by posters in this thread. I did say that she raised valid and reasonable points but its just another atheist criticising a religion. Oh, I seemed to have answered my own question. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> She's not criticising the religion. She's speaking out about how many members of that religion are behaving and how contrary it is to what they are supposed to believe in. They ask for respect by using violence when they did nothing to earn that respect.
