Scarlet Johanssen is always a bonus. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Her name seems familiar, can't put a face on the name though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Island.

The Star Wars Force is strong with this one. And I just lost Alderaan.

Or for (Morrowind).

It would be cool to have a Fat-Necked mogul figure in LEGO Star Wars 2, wielding a moneysaber with the inability to jump, instead throwing piles of money to break down platforms and enemies. It would be an unlockable of course. (w00t)

And nudity. From Scarlet Johanssen.

He was under the influence when he did those. Yeah that's it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Under the influence of money and the promise of more money. He puts it all in his neck apparently.

Wrong...so very very very wrong. Have fun defeating the Uber-Mega Dragons and demons in a game called TRUE crime... This is one of those games who show how it should Never be done EVER again... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I meant the first one, as I never played the second. And it was more open than GTA and you can't tell me you didn't enjoy running over EVERYTHING, including stupid white picket fences and little cuty bushes. It was far from a perfect game but you could still have fun with it and that was my point.

Once in a while I will try something like Madden #237 or MLB #126 just to see if something changed in me. It did for golf and boxing games so eventually it might for others as well. If I never try I'll never know.

:Darque: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lol I did! Thats how I know I don't like them, at least not enough to rent/buy and play hours upon hours. I know because I tried.

Borrowing religious elements? Hollywood has been borrowing EVERYTHING, not just religion. They have no original ideas whatsoever and they don't want to risk losing a single dime on new ones.

Battlefront or Battle for middle earth 1?
astr0creep replied to Deadly_Nightshade's topic in Computer and Console
The OP has a 20$ coupon, which is a rebate. If the OP has the means to pay the balance, the OP could afford #2. Just giving more options. -

Battlefront 2 is a very good Star Wars game and MUCH better than #1. It can also be very long and could hold your interest until NWN2 is released. it's also more expensive since it came out a few months ago. I LOVED it on PC, not so much on PS2. Battle for Middle Earth, I found it too easy and short but you have skirmish mode and, well, it's LotR and it has some cool new RTS concepts(as far as I know). It could also be less pricey because it's been out for about a full year now. BfME is like Kohan with Gandalf and a demon of the ancient world... SWBF2 is like Battlefield with Jedis and DARTH frakkin VADER... I would get BfME because I recently finished SWBF2. Actually, in your situation I would get Dragon Quest 8, or maybe Digital Devil Saga 2. -

We are very much alike you and I. Being able to enjoy different types of games just brings us more fun than others on this forum who are to narrow minded to expand their little D&D world. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, everybody get out there and play all those mind-broadening RPG games. Whether you like it or not! AND ENJOY IT! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You don't have to enjoy it! I was just saying, open your mind to something new, try to see beyond a D&D comparison. Even in the worst game imaginable there are very talented people working on interesting ideas, wether it's design or story or something else and something goes terribly wrong and you get Daikatana or Pool of Radiance 2. Some games do everything right and they're still boring(Fallout2), others do everything wrong but are still fun(Postal, True Crime1). Bottom line is, Devs can't please everyone and they make choices, hoping those decisions will please most people. If you experience more games, you will have more fun and you will never have to wait years for a sequel that may or may not come, just because you are too narrow minded to stear away from you precious D&D system or other for a few hours of your life. I play everything except baseball, basketball and football games. And I know my gaming experience has been far richer for it.

Boiling Point was just one big map, loaded once when you launch the game. You could enter a vehicle and drive from one end of the map to the other without loads. So maybe something like Boiling Point, in the Fallout Universe, could be very interesting.

I agree with you concerning Apollo and that spoiler space. He will probably take the Pegasus back to Caprica in the next episode for the sake of Starbuck, who goes and gets her boyfriend back apparently. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I completely disagree with you guys regarding Apollo But I must say that I really like this show. I mean, just listen to Adama in one of the first episodes, when Roslyn asks him to bring in the military to act as police in the fleet... Adama: "There is a reason why you separate the military and the police. One fights the enemy of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tends to become the people..." I was totally blown away by that - I became an Adama fan in a second. That's great writing. The writers on this show are great - they were crazy not to keep them on Star Trek, where Ron Moore and David Weddle were major writers on DS9, which was also a very well-written show. The people running Trek should have their heads examined... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah. Rick Berman killed a 40 years old franchise. We hate him.

For Morrowind's story, read my previous post, on the first or second page of this thread. And you don't need to read to progress in the story. Not more than any other RPGs where you have subtitles. There are a lot of books in Morrowind but you don't need to read any of those to progress the story. Some you need to open, which will trigger a quest event but you don't need to read it most of the time.

He was saying that he prefers D20 because it allows him to use the game's stats to compensate for his lack of it, in this case Dex. I find this perspective interesting because to me, not having a disability, it's all number crunshing from the computer. For CRPGs, I don't see much difference between D20 system and, say, Wizardry system or Morrowind. I find it interesting because I never thought about like that, I've always found D&D games too restrictive, and that won't change, but usually it's not a bad thing anyway because it is in context. I know I'm playing a D20 CRPG so I expect the restrictions and that's fine. As with Morrowind, the fact my personal skills determine more outcomes, I find that experience to be more immersive. I get more freedom to do what I want. Each system has it's own limitations and benefits, and they appeal to different crowds of gamers with some, like me, who don't mind either way.
