  1. You mean talk to the peasent folk? Anyways, in the US, Firefly DVDs are abotu 10 bucks off on Amazon. FYI peeps. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And what does that have to do with BSG?
  2. Oh please can I play a whiney 8 year old " Seriously though. You can have a fable style prologue if you want to start the character at that age. But still be an "adult" when the game proper starts. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, you can't have a Fable-like prologue because the game will inevitably be compared to Fable. And I have just 1 word for playing a youngling : Yippeee!
  3. Lol maybe I should adopt that answer too. "My job sucks. It's all because of WoW. My wife is bitchy because of WoW. My frakkin car won't start because of WoW. My dog keeps bantha poodooing on my kitchen floor because of WoW. My father has cancer because of WoW. I'm addicted to these stupid forums because of WoW." I've never even played WoW. :"> Anyway, graphic quality is overrated. I'm having more fun playing Geneforge right now than most of the games I've played in the last 3-6 months...
  4. Slight update... I'm still playing Rebels. There doesn't seem to be a story but the period is between Ep3 and Ep4. The second rebel mission makes you steal a couple of X-Wings prototypes from the Empire so you can study them and use them. A mission does not support BOTH land and space battles. In a land mission you can call for a bomber run if you bring Y-Wings(or Tie Bombers) when you send troops to a planet(you stack troops you want for a raid and then you drag and drop the stack in a space around a planet. Then you dragndrop the stack again on the planet to raid it. If you have bombers in your stack, you can then call for bomber runs, but they time to recharge, about 2-5 minutes). You can have both a space battle and a land battle to conquer a planet though. If the enemy has both space and land defenses. You need to get rid of both to get the planet. But it's still 2 different battles.
  5. Playing a youngling sounds interesting. The problem is that the game would inevitably fall under the "for kids" label for sure. A DS youngling... :D
  6. They're called GungAns.
  7. I wonder what the salary is for a Stormtrooper. Any social benefits? A retirement plan? Medical? Dental? Are any of them married with children? What is their social status? Is Stormtrooper regarded as, say, a doctor or more like a... janitor?
  8. There was some discussion in the Ep 2 DVD commentary about having the actor for the Clone Troopers (his name eludes me at the moment) do new voice tracks for the Storm Troopers in Ep 4-6 in a DVD release, so, yeah ... some, if not all, Storm Troopers were cloned. In almost all the pre-prequel EU source material I've read (quite a bit, but not all) the Storm Troopers' background was always left mysterious. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That doesn't sound right given how long it took the Kaminoans to "grow" the clone army. Besides, there are several instances in the EU of stormtroppers being perfectly ordinary people. Although I'm sure there would still be some of the original clone troopers left in the imperial forces. But I do think we got stormtroopers instead of clonetroopers because many among their ranks were no longer clones. Besides, Han and Biggs were in the imperial academy and Luke wanted to join, and last I checked, TIE pilots were sort of stormtroopers too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Also, according to SWBF2 Stormtroopers are not all human. Some are other thingies.
  9. I agree completely with Jediphile on this. Most parodies of Star Wars poke fun at the Father/Brother/sister/son thing. Nobody even uses it in movies anymore because it has become super cliched and even ridiculous in stories as a plot twist/cliffhanger. Away with it I say! I would like the PC to come to a crossroad in the story: Either CHOOSE to become a Jedi/Sith in order to solve a major problem in his/her life or CHOOSE to find another way as an "ordinary" person, that could be force sensitive depending on the choices he/she previously made in the game.
  10. Yeah Arx Fatalis is underrated. Top notch FPRPG.

  17. I'd go for... 5. Both willingly fallen to the dark side to fight the true sith and now must be made to aid you and possibly redeemed, if the republic is to survive. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They are not that important in the grand scheme of things. Not more than Exar Kun or other major figures in the known SW history. The Republic doesn't need them specifically to survive is what I mean. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, I don't agree with you there... KotOR2 was all about finding out that Revan had *needed* to go off and fight the true Sith - possibly because nobody else could - and then following in his foodsteps, because he would somehow need the exile's aid. If they are not important, then the entire plot of KotOR2 becomes pointless... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I never said they weren't important at all. Read my post again. <_<
  18. It snowed here today. Took me 10 minutes to wipe the crap off my car. And then I was 5 minutes late for work because I had to drive my wife to work but she takes forever to do her hair. In other news, Fallout sucks.

  20. I'm also torn with what I want to do with Revan and Exile. 1. Prominently present throughout the game, as major NPCs but never playable in any way. 2. They died at the hands of the True Sith before the PC reaches the unknown Region. 3. One is Dark, one is Light and the game is about them facing each other with the PC caught in the middle and deciding of both their fate. 4. Often mention, never seen, much like Revan was in K2 by Kreia. Their fate remains unknown until the very final moments of the game.
  21. Too much hype, years of it, is not good. Examples? Daikatana Duke Nukem Forever Pool of Radiance : Ruins of Myth Dranor And many others that crashed and burned. Let whoever makes it make it in peace.
  22. I was just thinking of Syndicate the other day. It really was an unbelievable game. It really plopped you down into a living breathing world. Looking back, it was doing the stuff that made GTA famous long before Rockstar ever entered the business. Doom is one of the most important games ever. It doesn't matter if you don't like FPS games, it raised the bar for the entire industry and brought in a huge new audience. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thank you! :D
  23. Well, okay. All I meant to say that whatever it is; Ragnos' scepter / valley of the jedi combined with artusian crystals. It has been done in two games. I wouldn't mind it but I think, because it has been done twice allready, the game wouldn't score so well. Just my idea. But perhaps you could say if anyone else would be able to use the pure force energy or that it is you, the chosen one if I can say so, who was the only one who could use it and that the energy then dissappears (in your body)? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You know in Diablo2, the hero of D1 is roaming the land with this awesome power within him that he can barely control. That is kind of what I'm thinking of. It's a seemingly random event that completely changes the life of one seemingly ordinary person. I really hate "chosen one" storyline so I don't want that. Either it is truly random or it was meant for someone else, but this ordinary person is faced with it and must deal because it is irreversible. The PC essentially becomes infused with the force by accident, the complete opposite of the Exile.
