  1. I love the super patriotic banner. Oh and I learned something too! ALL gamers are in the States apparently. Wow! <_<
  2. Not. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You'll see, bad things happen when you don't push the button <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes. The consequence of not pushing the button is that when you flush a toilet in Australia, the water will revert back to going counter-clockwise.
  3. GalCiv2 is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I just spent 3 hours building a scout ship!
  4. 1) I wish I could comment about. 2) Definetely not. 3) Just a second, before anyone gets the wrong impression here. In a game that is the scope and scale of Oblivion, there are bound to be bugs. Lots of bugs. In TINY games, there will always be bugs. Comments like this leave the impression that Oblivion is riddled with bugs and show-stoppers. This is entirely untrue. Just a stray fact to consider before purchasing: Oblivion made it through Microsoft certification in its first pass. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is an amazing feat(first pass certification) or a big fat bribe(a lesson from LA?) :D
  5. (I didn't see Ep02-15 yet...) Locke freaks out only when his newfound confidence in his abilities, and knowledge is shaken. This confidence is only based on his ability to walk. He was not denied the walkabout, he is doing it. Locke's turning point was not when he saw the "monster". He said(to Jack I think or Charlie) "I stared into the eye of this island. And it was beautiful". Locke's turning point is when he was losing his legs again. Then Boone died. To him, the Island was telling him that without his legs, he is nothing and this can be taken away just as easily as it was given to him. Suddenly, Locke doesn't feel so hot anymore and he questions everything again. He was also the best woodsman around, before the "ninjas" showed up. And as the "losties" are getting more familiar with their environment, his uniqueness is fading, as everyone is catching up to his skills and he is slowly but surely becoming "like everyone else". IMO. By the way, we still don't know how he lost his legs in the first place.
  6. They should've kept the "One year later" bit for the Season 3 premiere, ending Ep 02-20 with Baltar taking power, with some event making everyone realize their mistake of allowing him to do so. IMO.
  7. I completely agree. The last half hour should've been saved for next season. The changes in character behavior would not seem so abrupt. Baltar, Starbuck, Adama and even Roslin, it's like they just all gave up and became completely different people within one 5 minutes commercial break. I liked Dean Stockwell's character and the final ending was very cool. But my gripe is with the "One year later" bit. Too cheap and easy. They made it so we have a bunch of questions but we don't care what the answers are. These humans are so stupid. They should've removed Baltar from power. There should've been some sort of revolution instead. One year later, everybody gave up? Is that the human spirit? Is that what the scriptures say? It's just really hard to believe.
  8. Season 2 finale : Well I thought it sucked compared to the rest of the season. I really hated the "One year later" part, they should've waited for Season 3 with a slightly longer "Previously on Battlestar Galactica" before showing this to us. The episode was predictable and seemed rushed. Or is it just me?
  9. Uh oh. You called somebody lazy. A large group of somebodies. You're gonna get it now. "
  10. How about a guy with a big mustache, a goofing looking cap and goes by the name Mario? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey now I can't put myself in a game. My ego is not THAT big. :D
  11. I hope I can make an army of spikey-haired kids with huge feet and big swords in Spore(shameless promotion of an unreleased product because I need attention)! (w00t)
  12. What happens if it's not released for the 360 ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Perhaps it will be for the Revolution... Lightsabers anyone? (w00t)
  13. Oblivion NWN2 FF12 Mass Effect Dragon Age I'm really behind for 2005 so I will get up to date and pick up the 2006 lineup when they reach "Greatest hits" status. FEAR, DQ8, God of War, GalCiv2, Darkwatch, Quake 4.
  14. I find gaming to be quite similar to movies and TV, where it is not the consumer that decides what is being made, but the industry itself. The "low-risk to make money" mentality is restricting the amount of varied gaming experiences. The industry serves up the same kinds of products over and over again with some slight gimmicky differences as to not get sued for plagiarism. There are some exceptions of course but they usually go through a different path, almost a covert, underground path to get noticed by us gamers. Fortunately the internet helps the indies a lot in that regard I think. The industry makes us choose from a pool of very similar products because variety is risky. That is the impression I get as a consumer.
  15. I loved that villain!

  17. Awsome game <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's what I'm learning. It proves you don't need a gazillion dollars to make a great big beautiful game. I'm impressed, thanks for the link
