Are you joking? Oh and I'm playing The Godfather. Me likes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I want to play that. But I may as well wait and rent the 360 version. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe there's a demo somewhere you could try. Or by "other means" which I will not utter here.

Is Canada your little sister? Do you also hate the ocean? astr0, I know he is trying to tell us something, but I just can't grasp it... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, he hates Canada. For some reason.

unfortunately, fossil fuels are the most widely used way to generate electricity... and if you think gasoline output is bad, take a look at a coal plant. the people pushing the ethanol, btw, are the ones that stand to gain from it. they don't care about the environment any more than anyone else... they just want the money. taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree with you on both replies. We need to invent parts and systems that will compensate for not using fuel at all. The combustion engine needs to be put to sleep zwhat I'm saying. I obviously don't know how though. But that should be the goal of R&D imo. Everyone only cares about money in these industries, wether it be oil, cars or R&D. It's always about money. The only way we can properly solve humanity's problems is by allowing some things to be done for free and providing the necessities of life for those who do them. Or, eradicate money, like Star Trek. :D

I've been playing this game for about 10 hours now, I'm about halfway through the movie. It is definitely a GTA3 clone. It is definitely a GOOD GTA3 clone. The story is parallel to the first movie, you play some guy who has something to do with some unseen events in the film, such as hiding the gun in the bathroom for Michael Corleone and other interestingly designed missions. Your character is fully customizable, from the clothes on his back to the color of his eyes. New York is very well reproduced and driving through it is fun. Combat is also very fun, both for gunfights and fistfights with plenty of options and moves for both. Voice acting is superb. It has some RPG elements. Cool unlockables. Great music and sounds. My system is medium and it plays very well, unpatched. No CTD yet although I do believe there is a memory leak as it slows down to a near stop ON OCCASION, when I have other progs in the background. If you enjoyed GTA3 and up, you will like this for sure. Overall I find Gamespot's review to be quite accurate. When is somebody going to use this engine/design for a Star Wars game?

I live in a province filled with little Chiracs. Quebec, Canada. These people who get offended by english speakers are a strange bunch. It's about communication, making whoever is listeneing understand what you are trying to say. Be it in French, English, Dutch, Zulu, or whatever has no importance as long as one gets his/her words understood. English IS the language of business, wether Mr. Chirac(and French-Quebecers) accepts it or not. The man was simply making sure everybody understood what he had to say. Iz all.

To lower stress I(in no particular order): 1- Walk(followed by #3) 2- Play a violent video game(violent like Soldier of Fortune, Serious Sam) 3- Have sex with my wife 4- Watch a movie, preferably LotR, Star Wars OT or Indiana Jones(followed by #3) 5- Go see a movie(followed by #3) 6- Lie down on the bed and meditate to the soft sounds of Loreena McKennit or even Pink Floyd. 7- Mas*******(when #3 is impossible) 8- Play Civ4(followed by #3) 9- Build model planes and/or cars.(followed by #3) 10- Sleep(after #3)

The uses for oil go beyond fuel for cars. Rubber, clothing, cigarettes, etc. Rubber is an amazing product by the way, used in a great many things, not just tires and superballs. The information I received in school some 10-15 years ago is that fossil fuel(such as oil) is not renewable in our lifetime. It is renewable over thousands of years, being a state of decomposition of dead things like people, animals and vegetation(you know, fossils...). With the amount we use and have been using in full force at least since the 1930s, isn't it possible we might run out soon? Concerning cars: I think the electric engine is the best thing. A battery recharged with the energy from the turning wheels, like mini turbines. Also of note are that the street buses used to be built with electric engines(some still are). Some people here in Quebec actually have patents for a fully electrical bus model that is still ready to be mass produced but every year car and oil companies, through lobbying and various tactics keep the project from seeing the light of day. I don't think ethanol is the solution as it is still raping the environment and we will end up with the same problems in the long run. Finally, North America gets most of its oil from Venezuela, the US also gets it from Saudi Arabia and Canada. Europe and most notably China get their oil from Iraq(and other "smaller" sources). So controlling Iraq means controlling most of Europe and China's economy, much like Saudi Arabia and Venezuela control most of North America's economy. I have no references, only what I've been casually reading and watching. Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong or disillusionned.

Well, he is smarter than most rebel pilots apparently... he didn't go into the trench. Oh and yeah, Han is hellacool. It doesn't matter how he got there. The important thing is that he allowed his friend to succeed, redeeming himself in the process.

Memoirs of a Geisha. I was pleasantly surprised. Ziyi Zhang(SP) is a very good actress and a major babe. I would have prefered in Japanese with subs though.

Since they opened the hatch, it's not about survival anymore, it's about finding the Others. The tension is not the same at all because we don't really "fear" for their lives. Also, we know the back story for everyone(or enough of it) so all those flashbacks are just filler and seems very much taked on. Shannon died when she was getting interesting(AND she was hot. Big mistake). It's turning into Gilligan's Island. For real.

I think the whole problem with the turnbased model in Fallout was that it only applied, controlwise, to a single character. It was soul numbing because players had to sit back and watch party NPCs slug trough it without any kind of player input. In a game like Temple of Elemental Evil, it becomes much more attractive and interactive to issue orders to a group which you have full control over; you can analyze the battlefield and devise tactics that take NPC skills into consideration. In Fallout there wasn't much you can do beyond controlling the PC, then wait for every other character in the current battle to make their move. To that degree I agree it wasn't a success. It worked as a means to an end, but that's pretty much all I can say about it. The ToEE model was vastly superior for a number of reasons and ideally that would be where I would like to see Fallout's combat model go, with perhaps only a small number of improvements. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Do you know which body parts I would freaking sell for a game with TOEE's combat and NWN2's toolset???? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hum... I'll take a guess by choosing the obvious immature's body part of choice. Your BLEEEPnis?

Because speed sliders and mechanisms to solve time sinks obviously don't exist. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Of course they do.

What new games are you looking forward to?

I can't find it anywhere over here! I've been wanting to play it for a long time. -
You take a turn, and then the opponent takes a turn. And so on and so forth for 40-60 hours. Turn-based.

I don't mind taxes. I mind taxes that are used to secure VERY comfortable retirements for useless senators or injected in election/propaganda campaigns instead of fixing the roads, the systems of education and healthcare, maintaining the military(thats what taxes were invented for), etc. No media here ever admits that our politicians are corrupted. They say it in a way that we need to read between the lines but they never mention the big "C" word. I think they should, it's the media's job and it's another thing I hate about Canada. The hypocrisy.

Freedom Fighters was good. How difficult things are to control in real time would depend on just how much control you have over them. Onimusha 4 has quite an interesting command system. It's also very easy to use while having to fight off hordes of monsters. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Freedom Fighters was not good. At all. It was awesome.

Ermm, I would have thought the answer to that is pretty obvious given the events of a couple of episodes ago. ...he is a German intelligence agent " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh come on! German? That was NOT a german accent. It was very obviously french.

That is a great idea. I like! Am sure it woudl work with me, if I drove. I gave up on cars a while back when I realised I could get taxis or lifts everywhere and it would cost less. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A LOT less.

I think the Others are kept mysterious but they are in fact not. I'm thinking they are previous occupants of the shelters. I mean, where the hell did Desmond run off to?
