It's only water, giver of life. If you are in a situation where you are actually freezing to death, not having a cell phone is the least of your problems. :D

If you would keep your cell phone off, why would you need one in the first place? One carries a cell phone so that others can reach him/her. It is very rare that when one needs to reach someone it cannot wait until he/she finds a payphone or a store or even getting home. Cell phones are not that usefull in case of emergencies either. Although it may help in contacting aid faster, there is still the same dependencies on others. And they will take the same time getting to you and help you, wether you contact them via cell phone or pay phone. Example : Your car breaks down on the highway(which is not a real emergency although some panic is involved). If you have a cell phone, you call a towtruck, your boss, your friend, your familly, whoever you need, right away. If you don't have a cell phone, you either wait or you walk to find a phone. In both cases, you are completely dependant on somemone else, the towtruck driver, who will take as much time to get to you no matter which phone you used. Of course it makes things easier sometimes but it's more like an insurance policy. You could eventually need it but most of the time you're just throwing your money away because most situations can be dealt with without one.

I despise cell phones. ALL cell phones. Their existence created the "need" for them, before they were utterly useless. I don't have one and I do very fine thank you very much, even in emergencies. I despise anything that will allow almost anyone to reach me at any time. Cell phones do that. Plus, they turn decent people into total jerks in theaters, in stores, on the road, at parties, on dates, etc. And I won't even go in the effects it has on the younger crowd. Useless pieces of junk. I also have a big gripe against printers for 2 reasons. 1- Ink cartridges are the same price as a new printer (1xB&W+1xColor=1Printer easy). Seems like a ripoff to me. I just buy a new printer, cartridges are included. 2- Usually there are no cable to connect it to the computer. This is like getting a Console without a controller included. Utterly retarded! I could also go without all those expensive sensors in cars. Correct me if I'm wrong but when one detects something wrong(that is their function), 8 out of 10 times the sensor is defective and needs to be replaced. So why have them in the first place?

You have people who need to show off the bling bling, and you have people like you and me(and others ) that would rather have the cash to feed our families. A 10k watch, the fact that it exists, is wrong. Somebody would give it to me and I would sell it for either a home theater like you, or a very nice down payment on a new car, if I needed one. I guess when you have everything, your needs will change. I'm very poor so my needs are basic and the value of money is higher than it would be if I was uber-rich I suppose. I have no needs for luxuries. My wallet is falling apart but I never have any money on me. So I don't need a new one, I just keep my ATM card in my pocket. And I hate leather too. Makes me sweat too much.

Thank you for convincing me to buy Guild Wars for my MMORPG needs. :D

Husby would NOT be thrilled if I commandeered the faamily tv set. So we're talking several hundred bucks for the XBox 360, plus several hundred bucks for an adequate tv to run it on, plus whatever a table that won't collapse under the weight of an adequate tv would cost. For that much, I could update my computer with a new video card AND a gig of RAM... On the bright side, it will give me time to read gamer reviews and find out what equipment has trouble running it. *brave smile* So it's all good. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And most if not all of the best Xbox360 titles will make their way to PC eventually anyway. Patience is the mother of all virtues. :D

Whats the PC game?

I've noticed that PC Gamer are occassionally guilty of hyping the hell out of something when it is released, only to row back a few paces in the next issue (usually when a flood of reader feedback pours cold water on their hyperventilating reviewer). The biggest problem in Morrowind (to me) was the bajillion fed-ex missions and the fatigue-throttled slow walking around the map. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For me it was the slow walking(corrected with Boots of Blinding Speed) and the clones. but I loved it so I can't wait for oblivion, although I must since my PC can't handle it. Stupid system hogs! Long Live Galactic Civilizations 2!
