  1. Back then, when using bow actually requires arrows. And definitely there's penalty on point blank with bow. Does this game has penalty on point blank with bow?
  2. Pillars is definitely not hard at all. I would have welcome things like Vampires in BG2 or the mages like Liches and timestop. No breach spell, you are dead. No protection spell? You are dead. Those are really hard counters. I kinda remember money was scarce and to buy the Breach scroll to scribe it was really satisfying. But i do welcome that money are aplentiful this time around and you actually get to buy stuff.
  3. I like a mix of both. There are times you hate RNG so much that luck was never on your side and you get nothing from the loot table even hundreds of hours like Diablo 3. So it would be nice some nice Uniques are available for purchase at high price when your luck is out. Still it would be great to get items like fixed lool like CF and HA.
  4. I'm playing the game on 2560x1440. When hiding the HUD, i can't click on doors or any interactables. Pressing Tab doesn't highlight stuff. Doors or entrance doesn't show any symbol and you can't get out of an area. Like to check with everyone was is just me or anyone experience the same like me when hiding the HUD/GUI?
  5. Really? That's interesting. I thought all the loot are fixed. Still i kinda miss weapons like Celestial Fury and Holy Avenger.
  6. I playing the game 2560x1440p. When i use the option to hide HUD (Ctrl+H), then the whole world un-interactable. Doors, barrels, etc wont be highlighted when you press Tab. Door icon won't show and no way you can't click them. It would be nice if this was fixed. HUD only show up during battle will be totally nice.
  7. Something is definitely wrong with you. You need to start playing the game. And on Hard. Hard is actually easy.
  8. I think sales figure come from Steam sales. If 350K that's pretty good without any sales. One of the biggest selling point for Cities Skyline was also due to it's affordable selling price. I've played many AAA games and other genres and i'm loving ALOT on PoE. But honestly mostly on the combat. I won't see myself buying Torment Numenera at all. As the best thing i love about PoE is it's combat.
  9. I haven't seen any dynamism yet. around 70hours in the game. only dynamism i noticed could be the day and night cycle i think. But i really would have love all the moving grasses and the elevating water too.
  10. The default interdiction caused 8.1 secs of daze. The upgrade version to 9 secs for weakness. Does the upgrade stacks with the default? Which is 8.1secs daze + 9 secs weakness? Or switched over to 9secs weakness? If so the upgrade is really pretty "meh". Might as well get bonus spells?
  11. +1 I'm loving Pallegina quite a bit as a character. And i really like to romance her.
  12. There are few humors that i have heard of during my playthrough. It's pretty nice. Like Eder and even Durance when in the brother. That was hillarious!
  13. WTF are you talking about? I said a new enemy that ignores 90% of your defense. The fact that the Tank & Spank strategy works all the time is one of PoE's biggest problems. This would be an easy fix to that issue by forcing the player to readjust their strategy according to their foe's special features. Creating an AI that's unique to a specific enemy good enough to make a difference is completely unreasonable from a development standpoint, and I don't even see how it even could address the issue anyway. Better AI wouldn't change that once you find a good team strategy; you can (and should) just do the same thing over-and-over-and-over. Unless these new monsters are hard counters then adding them is a waste of development time. Fighting them will be the same as fighting any of the other monsters as the same tricks work on all of them. Apologies for reading wrongly as i have some physical vision disability. I think if monster that has high extremely high attacks that can bypass 90% of player's defense that would make fighter/tanks that invest heavily on defense useless. 90% would be too harsh perhaps maybe 50%? However, I would really appreciate smarter AI that will chug a potion when they are about to go down, wizards that cast debuffs on our party (-deflection, -reflex, -will, -fortitude, etc.), crowd control our party (cast slicken, charm, fear and cast AOE like fireballs, hailstorms, lay traps, etc.) and enemies that buffs their own to break our defenses. I see this will be far more challenging battle for players.
  14. This is one of the most fun battle i would said. I beat it on hard with my own intelligence and feels great about it
  15. What i can make this of is Obsidian can gain reputation by making a very easy difficulty PLUS an option to skip battle for players who simply couldn't get through it and just wanted to enjoy the story for people with disabilities. This way, major review sites will start crediting Obsidian for their effort in assisting unfortunate people or casual gamers who just want to skimp through for the story. Ps. I have some disability myself but i'm playing on hard and pretty much enjoying the game.
  16. New companions, banter, items/weapons, skills/spells, new locales with new monsters and 2-3 dungeons/towers that has at least 20 hours content. Not some monster with 90% defense. What i like to see are smarter AI monsters not some stupid stats increase of those said monsters. IF 90% defense and there are no stacking debuffs or skills/spells that can counter that high defense, battle will only relies on dice roll lucks, that's not difficulty. That's plain stupidity.
  17. +1 how can obsidian overlook this? this is so annoying. plus separating out items you need to double click. and the only way is to use the arrows. you cant type how many in the textbox!
  18. Sorry for hijacking. Just how do you steal? When you take something everyone turn hostile.
  19. I'm the opposite. I hate it when the enemy has to cheat to make a game harder. Blanket increases in stats is a broken way to increase difficulty and plays with the assumptions of the game. Difficulty should be about encounter design, what kind of opponents you face, the amount, the placement, and their intelligence, not just whether you increase the difficulty by 10%, 20%, 30% and so on. Coincidentally, I'd like to have a difficulty between Hard and Path of the Damned, without the blanket increases the enemies get, but with the same encounter design (that is to say, maximum amount of enemies, and the hardest encounters, just without the cheating). It has to suits the theme of the locales. It wont make sense that you have lions in dungeon or spectres with human adventurers. I agree encounter design would be nice as difficulty. But since veterans understand the rules and mechanics, there has to be a way or solution for a difficulty. No matter how hard a difficulty, it has to be achievable with the right preparation and strategy. If an increased difficulty greatly relies on luck even you have the right strategy, that seems wrong in terms of difficulty to me. But then if veterans managed to figure out the right strategy and execute it flawlessly, will we end up with similar thread being too easy again?
  20. Sagani is just a range DPSer. She's great but I think Hiravias>Sagani. If you like Sagani you can take off Kana. I managed without him. Durance and Aloth is a must for me and Eder>Pallegina.
  21. I'm playing on hard. I think i agree it's a little easy. I think they need to have another difficulty Very Hard that has Path of Damned stats increased for enemies without the perma death of campanions.
  22. I have high mechanics. It seems you need to stealth to get the mechanics kicked in. But anyhow thanks all . That figurine summons still come a little handy. But at this point. Game seems too easy already. I'm on hard by the way.
  23. Loving his show. Hillarious. While personally i do not agree with the score, i would have appreciate it at least an 8.5. His review was fair and i find it more sensible than Kevin. He is really right on the pathing issues and lack of NPC AI. It's not a big issue for me as i love micro-managing each and every one of my NPC. I think Joe doesn't know that's there a Slow mode.
  24. I can't believe how weak are humans and they are easily influenced, divided and fight amongst themselves because of one instigator on tweeter.
