I only backed it for $20. I will likely increase my pledge in the future as more info comes out though Having never played the first game for more than 5 minutes I don't have the deep connection to the game that I see so much here

I try not to EDIT: Forgot to add that I also read the new Shadowrun novel Neat. It was a fun little read about a scrappy, burnt out elf mage private detective who likes his whisky neat. I recommend it to anyone that likes sci-fi/fantasy genre mashups or the Shadowrun setting but as a pure detective story I thought it was a little weak but not bad.

Awesome! I'll have to check it out So after reading it I checked up on him, and apparently the book isn't getting published until July. But it is available on the Amazon marketplace. It did so well on there that he got picked up by Penguin to complete the trilogy. Pretty cool to see how these e-published authors are getting picked up by big publishers. I picked it up on Google Play last night and managed about 5 chapters before passing out. I'm really digging it so far.

I don't think it necessarily sux or rox, I just want the option to not use it to play the games I enjoy. As I mentioned before I don't play Valve games and I don't want my only options to be either don't play the game or to become a Valve customer. I just want more options.

So the Heart Attack Grill thread reminded me of a delicious burger that I had just recently. It was a pretty standard cheeseburger but it was topped with sauteed mushrooms and shaved foie gras and it was delicious. I usually like my burgers smothered in cheese but this one barely had any but it was so rich and full of buttery goodness.

Hi JFSOCC Sounds like a nice day, but can I ask you a question? You say you celebrate his death through a birthday, don't you mean a remembrance or do you really mean a birthday. What culture is that or rather what religion? I am interested I do pretty much the same in that regard for my mom. If I do anything anymore (it's been 12 years) I'll celebrate her on her birthday and not the day that she died. I'm not religious at all and I'd say my family is more spiritual than religious.

A lot of games have Steam as a requirement, so you are forced to use it... or not play the games.

Scratch that. On to BG:EE

So bored that I'm giving WoW a try... wish me luck

I try to avoid Steam whenever possible but I do have a small handful of games on it. I like digital distribution but I don't particularly care for Steam's implementation as none of it's features appeal to me personally (achievements, friend lists, cloud saves) and I have had some bad luck with the always online before (sporadic connection and offline mode not working properly). I also have Origin and Uplay installed on my machine and while I don't care much for them either they don't bother me as much because I only have have a 2 games in Origin and they are EA games and 2 games in Uplay because they are Ubisoft games but I have 5 games in Steam and none of them are Valve games.

About to watch the NBA All Star game. I hope the West can take it again this year.

"My kingdom is war. My treasury is full of wrath. My scepter is a viper. My friends are my assassins. But I was not wrong. The world has gone mad. I will be it's last stalwart servant. I did what had to be done, as I do now." That's all I remember from Age of Wonders, at least I think it was from Age of Wonders. I need to go replay that now.

I saw Here Comes the Boom and Hit & Run recently Hit & Run was better and a lot funnier than I expected it to be and I especially liked Bradley Cooper as the dog loving, dreadlocked criminal type Here Comes the Boom wasn't as funny as I was hoping but it was still pretty good and of course it had Salma Hayek

I knew I should have said no reasonable person. It's not that I don't think that it never happens, it's that I don't think it is the prevalent belief in most cases.

That's just silly. Nobody cheers for troops (or anyone else) who shoot innocent people on purpose, even when it's an accident they still catch a lot of flak for it. That said, I don't think his horrific actions now automatically invalidate any claims of abuse he made earlier

Mechwarrior and Civ2 got me hooked on PC gaming but it was an old AOL MUD called Terris followed by BG2 that got me into RPGs
