  1. Trying Neverwinter now too Got my Control Wizard to level 11 and I like it so far but it's like a much faster paced DDO based on 4 edition rules with slightly cartoonish graphics
  2. I gave up on the color test. I got half way through the second bar and had enough. It tested my patience and I lost
  3. I kind of liked Oblivion too and also felt that it had some pacing issues. I'm a little wary of the new Star Trek movie as I'm afraid it's going to be even more into "action movie set in Star Trek universe" territory. If that makes any sense
  4. I'm impressed that they actually created a separate(ish) matrix Update here
  5. Your updates about this MMO are interesting. I am considering trying this MMO out? I highly recommend doing so. It can be a bit overwhelming to get into, but it has a lot to love. We have a few people here who play pretty regularly, or used to at least. It's free to play makes it easy to try out, although subscribing opens up a lot of options too. I would also recommend trying it out ... as long as you aren't an OCD completionist it's pretty easy to get into if a bit grindy at times. And it's better than arguing piracy on the internet
  6. Ha! All of the above Except for the MREs, I enjoyed those
  7. I'm with Nep, the military ruined camping for me too. But after reading all these stories (and the passage of time) I'm starting to get the urge to get back out to the wilderness. My wife is more of a glamper though so it'll more likely be a solo outing or a weekend with the guys.
  8. Dabbling a bit with Defiance in between bouts of LOTRO and Civ 5. I'd like to check out the new planet in SWTOR but my wife and I are still on Voss and haven't had much time to play lately Defiance is okayish but I've never been into shooters but I bought it because I was bored of Lord of the Things. LotRO - Bored with my 85 Runekeeper as my kin doesn't have the numbers to run any of the new instances (or any instances really) and I don't usually enjoy pick up groups. Tried playing some lower levels but the game is so grindy and vast that I get overwhelmed or just bored before I make much progress. Civ 5 - Been playing as the Polynesians a lot lately, they may be my new favorite Civ.
  9. My wife doesn't like the show at all but she really enjoyed the last five minutes of the last episode
  10. I like that people are arguing about it in the comments as if it was a real story
  11. I backed it for $25 even though I never really got into the one JA game I played a fool and his money and all that
  12. Neutral Good Elf Sorcerer (5th Level) Ability Scores: irolltwenties I do tend to pick caster classes in games
  13. I forgot about the Mentalist and Supernatural I only watch about half of the shows on the TV though, just the ones I watch with my wife. The other half I watch on the computer while doing other things like playing games or working
  14. Exactly. Weirdos.
  15. I've been watching Castle, Psych, Elementary, and Game of Thrones.... and The Voice, my wife reminds me. I've never seen Dr Who but my Dad is a big fan and Colin Baker and Daphne Ashbrook are coming to the Denver Comic Con so I need to try to get their autographs for him.
  16. I may be the only one interested in Shadowrun Online but here is their latest update
  17. Just pretend you're training for the Olympics http://vimeo.com/46513050
  18. The DRM-Free Version Of Shadowrun Returns Sounds Kinda Lame Nothing new but I wonder if the bad press will hurt them
  19. Yeah, not so here. I usually owe a few hundred but this year I got a lot back because I've started to work almost exclusively from home
  20. WH40K Star Trek Vampire Dying Earth ... Baywatch Nights or an updated Sword of the Samurai type game
  21. long live Margaret Thatcher? No? Maybe??? Sorry, it was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the title.
  22. It might be easier and cheaper to buy locally and just get your clothes tailored. I used to get most of my dressier clothes tailored and I'm not even very large, extra medium maybe.
  23. The gameplay videos still give me warm fuzzies but all the little issues and the cuts and changes to features don't really inspire a lot of confidence I'm not too concerned with: Infinite ammo No loot system Not being able to use other people's runners Removal of the overlay system Mages only cast/Shamans only summon No progression for hired runners But I am a little worried about: Checkpoint saves Unknown system for Deckers
  24. I would prefer DRM free when and if possible and I'll support games that are with my wallet as I believe it is an added value I'm not a fan of most DRM and especially not mandatory third party software. I spoke about it on the Steam thread a little bit but I don't hate Steam or anything but I don't own any Valve games nor do any interest me and I don't care for any of the features it offers and I've had a few minor issues with it so for me it's just an unnecessary requirement when games are Steam exclusive. Steam optional is totally fine, Origin is fine for EA games, UPlay is fine for Ubisoft games and so on. It would be nice, pie in the sky kind of nice, if those services would be optional for their games as well but at least they stick to being mandatory for their own games and my main gripe with Steam is that it has so many exclusives that are in no way related to games Valve makes or publishes... but I'm sure the blame for that falls with the devs and publishers as well. Sorry for going off topic a bit
  25. Yeah, I would have still backed it at the same level ($125) if it was just a one and done. I know it would have been the exact same thing I'm getting now for which I've said that I would have paid less ($15 to be exact) if I knew about the DRM requirement (Steam exclusive specifically) in advance. I'm just trying to vote with my wallet for what direction I would like to see gaming go in and I wouldn't fund a Steam exclusive for the same amount as a DRM free game even if I get access to it without the DRM. It's late and I've been drinking so I hope that makes some kind of sense
