  1. We've been making pizzas on the grill for the last couple of nights. My wife's favorite is white pizza with thick slices of fresh mozzarella and a smattering of goat cheese, figs, black garlic, caramelized onion, and drizzled with balsamic vingeger (which I call ball-slamic and it cracks me up to no end). It smells pretty good but I've not dared to try it as I've not been able to eat much solid food for the past couple of weeks.
  2. Blind Fury was my jam back in the day RIP
  3. When I went to some art festival a few weeks back there were a bunch of people trying to get signatures for that
  4. Isn't he a Canadan from Canadia? IIRC his father was a US citizen but he only holds a green card Sorry to overthink the funny
  5. Just some Tarantino Star Trek stuff I found amusing, bolded bits emphasized by me https://www.cinemablend.com/news/2476958/quentin-tarantino-clears-up-a-mystery-about-his-star-trek-project For anyone who likes Psych and wants to know why they say me like that click here
  6. BattleTech PowerHits collection and Legends of Terris It was one (three) of the games that really got me into computer gaming and I followed that addiction with an online text based game that I would often dream about, in text. I still log into it every once in awhile. Followed by Civ3 because it was a game I used to get my dad hooked on computer gaming. I'll never forget the Sunday morning we were supposed to go to a movie or something and I showed him my new game and we wasted the whole day on it without realizing it was already night time. Good times. And last but not least HoMM2, sunk about a billion million trillion hours cubed on this and the sequel in both multiplayer and single player Hmm, now that I think about it all these games, with the exception of BattleTech, I played with my dad so that seems to be a common factor here.
  7. I don't care if a new game or series is created as something I'm not interested in but I do get disappointed when a series I enjoy is changed into something I have no interest in. That's not to say I dwell over it and write one man plays and do interperative dance or whatever I was into last year to share my feels with the world.
  8. Pallets of water bottles left out in the sun is not good on its own. It starts to taste plasticy, if that's a real word. Story was that the water left out in the heat for long periods of time would start to leech toxins from the plastic. I'm not science man so I don't know if that's accurate but the taste definitely changes.
  9. Yep, all of the shows and movies they have availble for streaming are available to you. Also, nothing wrong with using a trial to watch what you want. Their goal is to get you in and have the rest of their content keep you beyond the free trial.
  10. I meant it as another knock on Sven's knowledge of the series and I acknowledge that was low of me
  11. Isn't it 3E and not 3.5? I thought 3.5 came out the year after IWD2 was released
  12. "Go back to " has a long history here. Maybe some of the international folks have similar things in their own countries. Words or phrases that have other much more negative connotations behind them than may appear at first glance or to someone unfamiliar. https://www.npr.org/2019/07/15/741827580/go-back-where-you-came-from-the-long-rhetorical-roots-of-trump-s-racist-tweets I've personally been told to go back to various different places usually depending on where I am in the country. Though to be fair to the racists, because everyone needs a break, I'm decently tough to pin down since my (ancient alien) ancestors are from figurative literally everywhere.
  13. Picard's dog's name is Number One
  14. He said he prefers turned based so I don't think slowness or not being flashy enough is the issue but more that they don't have a lot to do. I tend to agree as my first BG character was a fighter and I hated it being such a passive experience. I ended up switching to casters because even though low level casting is pretty weak it gave me a sense of participation. I believe it was one of the things Josh Sawyer talked about in the first Pillars Kickstarter and why Pillars fighters have more to do right from the jump.
  15. I don't favor indiscriminate mass release as I think each case should be reviewed in-depth prior to any release Also, there actually are a small number of people incarcerated in federal prisons for simple possession. It's only a misdemeanor on the first offense and even that can still get you up to a year and since I don't think the federal goverments operates jails I can only assume where they go various links and whatnot https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/21/844 https://www.ussc.gov/ https://www.bjs.gov/ https://www.drugwarfacts.org/ https://www.prisonpolicy.org/ Note: last 2 have an agenda to refrom drug and/or prison policy but they do dash the notion that prisons are overflowing with people put there for possession and do generally state how many are there for that reason Bonus link https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2018/04/16/john-boehners-claim-that-we-have-literally-filled-up-our-jails-with-people-for-minor-marijuana-possession/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.2f801a3843df
  16. I liked that one a lot too but I thought the sound was a bit weird in parts
  17. Not sure where you're getting that https://criminal.findlaw.com/criminal-charges/drug-possession-penalties-and-sentencing.html That's just checking laws which vary quite a bit depending on where you're at. I'm not sure what your jails are like but ours are generally used to house people awaiting trial or sentencing but also hold inmates with misdemeanors and low level felonies. It's also more short term and typically no more than a year. Again, also varying depending on location.
  18. Well, you clearly have some investment in this for some reason. Is it overblown that prisons are filled with people with just possesion charges? Yes, very much so but to say that nobody is in prison because of it goes against the data available. Also, this is just counting prisons and not jails which I'm sure would increase the numbers quite a bit.
  19. The South didn't like the country so they tried to leave it PS and if I'm not mistaken one of the original plans for abolishing slavery was for them to leave the country afterwards
  20. Skarpen, do you own stock in a prison or something? Nobody in their right mind is saying we should release murderers and rapists and other violent offenders. Pretty much everything I've seen has been calling for low level offenders generally ones with possession charges of personal use amounts of drugs. Some of these plans also have some decent bipartisan support and Trump has already supported and signed the First Step Act. If you want to keep taking all the worst cases and applying them across the board then I guess that's your windmill to tilt at
  21. I still can't not use the created companions in these types of games. I dunno what it is.
  22. I dunno but she rubs me the wrong way in pretty much every interview I've seen with her. My spider senses say something is off.
  23. I'm still where I was at before. I prefer some candidates like Warren, Gabbard, Sanders, and Yang but would not vote for Harris or Biden for anything. Everyone else I'm still undecided on.
