  1. I've also always gotten all 4 tires replaced at the same time and then kept the best old one as a spare. When I can afford it that is. The last 2 cars I've had didn't even have a space for the spare. I don't know what it is but I feel better throwing on a spare than I do driving with run-flats.
  2. All this cheese steak talk made me make another one today. This time I did make my own cheese sauce but I wish I had checked the fridge beforehand. I only had half a slice of American cheese because my mother-in-law is weird and does stuff like that. Still had some provolone and that was it soon kept digging in the back of the fridge and found some Mexican cheese blend so I sprinkled that in with some parm. It actually turned out pretty good considering. Nearly forgot we didn't have flour for the roux so I ended up using some sweet brown rice flour that we have for some reason. I went the sour cream route as well. Now and for the rest of the week it's Ensures for breakfast and lunch with a sensible bowl of honey nut Cheerios for dinner.
  3. I actually like Jersey Mike's Big Kahuna cheese steak
  4. I think we should keep all options on the table because what we've been doing isn't working. That's why I said it should be acceptable to have talks not necessarily that we should talk to them. Still, it's not like we don't already negotiate with terrorists. I also don't think they should come to the US for any talks either. If the president wants a face to face meeting it should be held in some 3rd country. Realistically, if we aren't willing to go all in, which we aren't, then we need to get out. Bad optics or not, how long do we keep throwing our people and our money away? It's insanity. Sorry, I have strong feelings on this issue.
  5. I agree with Zor that talking with them is acceptable* because killing them hasn't given us the results we've been looking for. It's been 18 years, a trillion dollars, and most importantly, thousands of Americans have been killed and many, many more injured. *not on or around 9/11 though, that's poor judgment
  6. I used provolone and a little white american cheese (the colby and cheddar blend kind rather than the pasteurized process cheese product). My wife refuses to eat cheese whiz and american cheese that isn't real cheese. I've told her that cheese whiz is the traditional cheese so she says give her the non-traditional cheeses. I'll have to experiment with making my own cheese sauces. Thanks for the tips.
  7. Gromnir made a good point about how useful straws can be and I'd have to agree. In southern AZ where it's blazing hot and everything is super far apart straws are practically mandatory because everyone is always in their cars and taking the lid off is just asking for something bad to happen. Not sure but my local recycling place doesn't do straws but they will, of course, do bottles. You're in a bigger city so who knows, they might just load it all on a boat and ship it to another country.
  8. I knew there was a reason that the Turks pay me gold but I'm still poor
  9. You can outright buy it from MS as well. It's just that the sub is the cheapest option Sorry for the confusion
  10. Nope and it never has been but it's not launching on Steam which is what the scandal has mostly been about. You can either get it from MicroSidian or from Epic. The best deal is to get the MS game pass whatever it's called. It's like a dollar for the first month right now but depending on how you feel about game subscription services that may be a no go.
  11. Still haven't made any progress on those ops quests but I did know out a few flashpoints. My Shadow is on Tatooine now and I still hate the voice,
  12. I like straws. I have a few reusable ones made out of either silicone or metal. I really like the paper straws too but I don't do plastic straws and haven't for a long time.
  13. Now I've got to start a new CK2 game
  14. Made some chicken fettuccine alfredo for dinner last night. I couldn't eat it but it smelled nice. Then for lunch today I made a cheese steak which I shouldn't have eaten but I ate most of it anyway.
  15. I thought the problem was that he publicly mentioned Alabama when the longshot predictions of it hitting there were already discounted and thus potentially causing needless panic. Admittedly, I haven't been following it closely because I mostly don't care and have been trained over the past few years that this is completely normal and acceptable behavior.
  16. I just picked it up from Obsidian Microsoft . Thought about getting the pass to save some money but I don't care that much.
  17. I often wonder about a lot of folks that just up and disappear. Went for a long walk today on this small trail next to a tiny little creek. Was fun and nice to get out and stretch my legs a bit. Been stuck in a tired routine of just work, home, and back again. Went to an Italian festival yesterday and that was also nice. Currently upset that my UPS doesn't work for ****. CyberPower still hasn't responded to my ticket from last month so I'll probably just get a new one and never buy from them again.
  18. Backed Solasta and Toby's Island but still on the fence for Homeworks 3 since they want 50 bucks at the lowest tier and I was just going to give it to my brother. I'm quite fond of him but 50 dollars is 50 dollars.
  19. Watched some of the CNN Climate Town Hall and it was interesting to me and the missus but we didn't watch any of the candidates we don't care for because each segment is 40 minutes long. It's going to pretty much depend on your views on the issue as to how much you'd likely get out of it.
  20. All done with the everything except some story flashpoints and some ops quests
  21. We need them or we'd be shrinking Plus
  22. Did anyone watch the Climate Town Hall? Thinking of watching it tonight but would probably give it a pass if the moderators are just lobbing softballs and Republican talking points.
  23. "The biggest divide in the party is not between left and center. It's between those who believe once Trump is gone, things will go back to normal, and those that believe that our democracy is under a threat that goes beyond Trump." “There is a situation where the electability argument within the context of this primary becomes self-perpetuating. Everyone thinks Biden’s the most electable, therefore voters tell pollsters that he is more electable — and therefore more people think that, and it sort of all goes around the circle.” My two favorite bits from here Regarding Yang, I've not heard anything negative about him but it might just be that nobody considers him a big enough threat to bother looking in to. He was up at the top of my isidewith results last time I took it Maybe I should retake the test or something now that people have put more stuff out there
  24. It's really good. Considering giving it a rewatch and that doesn't often happen with stand-up comedy.
