  1. Pic didn't load for me but I can only assume it's the insanely obnoxious News panel on the main menu, which will hopefully be removed when the game is no longer being supported
  2. I had a PoE1 character who was very heroic and I was going to play as him, but the save import bugs made me go with a different character. I think a decent arc for a hero in this game would be realising that you can't do everythingn so what can you do? Is it more heroic to let the Vailians' capitalist-but-advanced science have exclusive access to Ukaizo, or to help the downtrodden Huana reclaim their ancestral homeland? Would a hero make sure that in the times to come the balance of power favours gods or mortals? Or would the most heroic thing to look out for the innocent victims of what Eothas does and make him take care of the souls in the In-Between? When I do import that character he's probably going to side with Furrante, though damned if I know why. I just want him to, heh
  3. Really the only problem with the hating boats line is that it comes at the start of the game where you have a boat. It should come later on, eg your ship crashes again when you get to the final area
  4. People in general don't seem to like the combat track "Its Crash Could Not Be Denied" but I can't get enough of it. It always gets me pumped up for a fight
  5. I'd definitely take a pet ooze if I can't have a spider. Bat?! A bat is just a furry bird!
  6. I think the story is about the endless march of history. Eothas is absolutely a force of nature, and you can help shape the way the world will adapt to him, but you can't stop him, just like you can't preserve the status quo forever in real life. The Deadfire was in flux before you ever got there, and it's no coincidence that the in-game status quo reaches a breaking point right before Eothas breaks the Wheel. As for my Watcher, she was in it to know everything. First of all to know why Eothas nearly killed her, then to know what his plan was, finally to know what breaking the Wheel even entailed. Ukaizo's a tremendous store of lost knowledge so she'd be going no matter what
  7. Based on Beast Of Winter I'm not worried about the narrative side of things; Bridge Ablaze is the best bit of PoE2 at all imo- so far, at least. As far as the ship combat, I don't find it very exciting, but I don't dislike it. It's a nice break from the usual brawls. I am annoyed that it's apparently less rewarding than just closing to board, because even if I wanted to close to board every battle, shipboard scenes absolutely tank my fps
  8. Tiny bat right now, with ooze droplet in second place. Grub is not popular
  9. So do you get the Cohh item specifically from the giant grub? I went down into the old city(in my current save where I killed it 50 hours ago) and couldn't find it anywhere
  10. Something can help The Watcher will not become the most pathetic and boring protagonist ever in Obsidian game. (´,_ゝ`)people seem to have a very low opinion of characters they themselves create
  11. You get instakilled if you tell Berath you want to die at the start, or if you mouth off to Rymrgand in the White Void, or if you tell Eothas you want to fight him at the end. Any other time you're speaking with a god you can say what you want. You don't even have to be polite to Rymrgand.
  12. The game is too easy! Buff all player abilities!
  13. Yep, the items are all present in existing games. Even the one that's for sale!
  14. I think having final say on the form the next Wheel takes would be a cool story goal
  15. I don't know what percentage of sales are made on gog, but I remember not long before the Deadfire fig campaign began I saw Pillars 1 on steamspy with about 900k copies sold. There's no data on gog sales but if Pillars had sold a million copies total by that time Obsidian would have been shouting it from the rooftops
  16. Ydwin has the female Vailian frock coat, the male one looks a lot different and lamer
  17. Try taking her to the Splintered Reef, I remember hearing that's where it comes up
  18. A game like Pillars is more likely to do well among gog.com's users (retro style) and has more visibility because it's a smaller site
  19. It's insane that they got that guy to stream the game before release, but they didn't get his item into the game until 3 months later
  20. I'd just like to voice my appreciation that they put these items in the game world to be found instead of adding them to stores to be bought. It feels much cooler to find a new ring in a dungeon or get a new necklace from a boss battle
  21. Any chance of a screenshot? I found a description which has interesting implications for its use: At a guess, Inspiration AOE with a limited range? Maybe an aura?
  22. Watcher Prevails is awesome, so it definitely would. Out of curiosity, is the track Rise Again Rise Again used anywhere? It's on the soundtrack but I don't recall ever hearing it in the game. It would make a pretty good boss track also
  23. It's not as clear as it should be, but Eothas's goal in breaking the Wheel is to cause a situation which will require gods and mortals to work together to fix it, causing the relationship between them to be "reborn"
