  1. Deadfire's open exploration structure lends itself really well to smaller DLCs. Even one that just adds a couple of islands and some cool quests with no overarching story could be well worth the money, and fit in great

  5. This wouldn't be a problem if they futureproofed the game. Which there'd be no excuse for not doing, since they knew they'd be making DLC right from the figstarter. My own suggestion would be to remove the level cap, have a little text indicator when you reach a power level above 9, and let enemies scale up infinitely

  8. "Lack of urgency" in the main quest is probably the single best thing Pillars did
  9. It's more important for all things to be viable than to be equally good. Can you play the whole game start to finish with 2-handed weapons? You can! So there's no problem. Using an inferior weapon style might even add a bit of challenge!

  11. That forum gives a default avatar to users who don't have one, it changes every now and then but it's usually something insulting. It costs $10 to change your avatar!

  14. I'm making non-unique trinkets which I'd like to be found as loot. I've done a little poking around in the items.gamedatabundle, and it looks like adding something to a lootlist is just like adding something to a vendor(given vendors use lootlists too). There's a lot of lootlists, but adding something to them all looks like it's just a question of time, really. My first question is, is that basically right? My second question is, knowing that mods clash when using the same vendor, presumably they'd clash when using the same lootlist. Say I added something to 10 lootlists, and another mod added something to one of those lists, there'd be a clash BUT would my mod still work for the remaining 9 lootlists? Or would the clash invalidate all the lootlists in my mod? Posting this Q here rather than slack in hopes it'll attract the attention of the mighty BMac himself, since I don't know if anyone's done much with lootlists/non-unique items yet
  15. Just don't have unique weapons in the game, less work for the devs to come up with unique loot and then less effort to nerf it after
  16. There hasn't been much Galawain stuff so I'm pleased he's getting some spotlight. Gods who've had big presences in major quests: Woedica-PoE1 main quest Ondra-White March Abydon-White March Eothas-PoE2 main quest Berath-PoE2 main quest Rymrgand-Beast Of Winter Now Galawain, and based on the description of DLC3 probably Wael. That would leave: Hylea Magran Skaen And I'd say they all got a big enough presence in 1 (Hylea via Pallegina and the Sky Dragon, Magran via Durance, Skaen via the temple under Dyrford) that they don't really need any major quests devoted to them anyway. Of course the same is true of Wael
  17. Kind of wish there'd be multiple arenas, even if they look the same, to give more of an impression of size. Still, looking forward to some interesting fights and some new sweet magical weapons

  19. The eel sword from the DLC scales with Religion. At least one of Xoti's weapons does too but I forget what. I'd love a full list as well
  20. You can for items. I think so for abilities as well, other things like skill and culture icons I'm not sure
  21. What exactly does "neverdropasloot" do? Isn't what drops as loot determined by loot lists? Is that another PoE1 thing?
