  1. Xuarip Skirmisher in chapter 1 on screen entry is toughest solo PotD creature. Kidding aside, what is the toughest creature per Chapter, Caed Nua and Expansion? 1 - Said Xuarip above 2 - Cail 3 - Sky Dragon 4 - Thaos Caed Nua - Adra Dragon WM I - Alpine Dragon WM II - Llengrarh
  2. I say the more build options the better. For me that is part of the fun. Play through 1 - Enjoy the story. Play through 2 - Attempt to choose paths that I didn't follow on Play through 1. Play through 3-forever after - Have fun with everything else the game engine has to offer. I call this little tidbit 'Getting my money's worth.'
  3. He does appear in game.... there builds built around his items.
  4. 1 - Planescape Torment 2 - Darksun Shattered Lands/Wake of the Ravager 3 - BG2 SoA/ToB Fallout is next....
  5. Off topic... will the Shieldbearer's bonus to defense stack if you are using 2 Shieldbearers?
  6. She has avg stats across the board. You can build her any which you desire.
  7. You find ingots throughout the White March. Once you pass the final battle in the battery you will be able to use the forge to enchant Weapons, Armor and Shields with those ingots. Once you do that it seems to me that going back to Chapter III and IV they become cakewalks no matter what difficulty you play. But if you truly are a Noob it should seem wonderful.
  8. Big patch? Probably never as they are working on part II. Maybe little tweaks but I doubt even that will happen now. The game is really stable in its current state.
  9. Search Azzurro in this forum. Lots of people have asked about him.
  10. CRPGs are replayable. The Devs can't possibly account for every single option a player can dream of. I would think most players are not attempting the totally evil kill em all route on play thru Alpha. Hence the current in game setup.
  11. Well .... 5 Rangers with firearms is the first thing that comes to mind.... but they is going to get boring and tedious. A firearm Rogue is an alpha striker so I would combine him with a buffer priest, a spellcasting DPS master, either Druid or Wizzy, and any combo of 3 sturdy meleers. Hell ... 3 Pally Tanks who do explosive FoD damage would suffice. They become damage dealers with priest buffs.
  12. I see my next party forming in front of my eyes.... Cruel and Aggressive Wizard! Too bad there are no flying monkeys.
  13. Oh my..... 2 melee Tankish Rangers with pets for a shieldwall effect backed by 4 wizards..... CW and missle spells galore. I am guessing this will work similarly for Blast? Oh goodie! (wrings hands together and cackles like Gargamoyle...)
  14. If you spam lots of missle spells after casting CW will that trigger CW repeatedly?
  15. KW shooter can stack FoD with its upgrades and Scion of Flame with Quick Switch to pour on some heavy damage. Then switch to anything you want melee wise depending on your party role. Maybe a pair of endurance draining weapons to compensate for the lighter armour. Guans Share and Oideracht or Resolution... all can be gathered early on. Durance's Armor would work nice until something better comes along.
  16. Ranger with armor is just fine in melee. Not a lot of difference in their base/level progression stats compared to a pally or Chanter It's all in how you build. Arquebuses *3 plus warhammer and shield works just fine.
  17. It's the Monk. He shoots out of the fish barrel, a.k.a 'cannon', when you first meet him.
  18. I find with having chronic restart syndrome I can't seem to get past chapter 2 without restarting unless I am planning builds around equipment I can acquire rather early. I know, I'm mentally handicapped. My wife agrees with you
  19. Min/Max strategies are for PotD only. Instead... Have fun with it. Try out the various combos this game has to offer. The 'best' builds are not needed outside of PotD. I like to bring a Shieldbearer along to fight beside my Conan.
  20. Are Adragans immune to stun? If not Borresaine would help wielded by a properly specced Missle Rogue or Ranger with high Dex and Per. It is purchasable in Copperlane.
  21. I find the tougher fights early on really just need a combo of all your abilities. Tackle the harder fights fully rested. Cc/Debuff for big tough enemies, AoE/Cc for large groups of weaker. That's my general rule of thumb anywho...
  22. Larger parties can give CC options which help negate strong enemies on PotD, making encounters much easier.
  23. Quest XP is gained dependent upon how many characters are in the party. So gathering more allies early on greatly increases your chances of survival and will net you more XP. Early battles only net minimal XP which isn't much of a factor until you reach level 4 or so. So I like to sell everything to Heodan for max cash. Then run through the ruins with only killing the skuldrs and spiders. Then you hit level 2 once you enter Ciant Lis. Don't do a thing from there except for sneaking your way to Gilded Vale. Avoid the Aloth encounter by entering the Inn by the 2nd story entrance. Talk to the innkeeper, then hire 5 level 1 hirelings. Then immediately rest to trigger the dream sequence. Then talk to the hanging Dwarf chic. Then go back to the Valewood and start clearing everything. Then go back to Gilded Vale and talk to the couple to gain more XP. Then talk to the innkeeper to gain even more XP for rescuing the cook. This way you receive larger chunks of XP by having a full party. I usually clear the surrounding areas NOT including Raedrics Keep and enter Caed Nua at level 5 MC, level 4 for all Hirelings. Then I tackle the keep.
  24. 4 Barbs, 2 Rangers. Or 2 Barbs, 4 Rangers. Barb's can Offtank and multiple ranged Rangers give you a plethora of choices. Make one of the Rangers a Aumaua Gunner with quick switch for bursting single targets. Borresaine the other for stuns so your Barbs can have free reign in melee.
  25. Mobie ****. Nessie. Squigwert. Options are endless.....
