  1. games i play like the one you rejected last night?
  2. Gab's open mind is like a fortress with its gates securely barred and guarded by Arnold clones.
  3. Self pwnt. No more off-topic! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> lol QFT, FF8 was utter wank <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't know about FF8, but i enjoyed FF9 wait, i am on topic right?
  4. Yeah, i don't want a port immediately when the pc release comes out, but something like what happened with Bungie giving the reins of Halo to Gearbox Software in order to put it on PC. I just want the opposite to happen with NWN2; I just want a port from PC to the 360. Some people liked Morrowind for xbox, including my brother, so i know that putting a pc game on a console can't totally ruin a game. It would be money-wise right? they'd have one buyer for sure (obviously i am not enough, but still...) now who am i supposed to spam and complain to concerning this? i think it was, Atari, right?
  5. In essence they have added a lot of role-playing elements, however, most people are rigid about the rpg genre in that they believe an rpg must have DnD-type algebraic algorithms for the fighting (or in this case, game-playing). the sports games do have stats and whatnot, but that doesn't placate the hard-core rpg fan-base's perceptions of what an rpg is. lots of games can be argued to be "role-playing", but they aren't all called rpg's, even though you do "play the role" of a certain character or person. So in the end it comes down to teh numbers
  6. That part of the game was basically a fighter like DOA. It had some really unique, fun ideas. the parries, the blocks, the attacks, all really cool. the rest of revenge of the sith game lacked though, and there were some things they could've done to make the fighting better, but oh well. however, Kotor3 is probably going to be a cRPG, and i wouldn't want to see them spend time on making a fighter game when they could spend time making the rest of it
  7. no Gabs, that's a common misconception which occurs because the volume is not turned up on the game and the font size gets distorted. it is Bastlia for sure...
  8. Don't worry about taking up time, if we are here, then we obviously have time to be taken up. As for your post, i also enjoy romance in crpg's, however, Kotor2 doesn't fully deliver on this. It does somewhat, but in the end, like battlecookie said, it isn't "fullfilling". And even though Visas is the least developed love-interest, she's still my favourite ...
  9. because everyone knows that you should be able to hate the main character and not just like them
  10. he can't, he's a VIP. as for the port that doesn't exist: :'(
  11. I guess i agree with Sawyer on this one, "booth babes detract from what should be the focus of the event." They also give video games a false image to associate them with, so state legislatures and the like frown upon scantily clad women at E3 and therefore they frown upon video-games too. I don't want games to be looked at like that. They are more than that. But whatever
  12. If you have ever seen xbox live, then you would see that it isn't quite as limited as you think. As for the controller, i am willing to purchase a cheap usb keyboard. I guess since i am getting a new rig in a year or so that buying a base video card for just the game would work, thanks Diamond.
  13. why not? look at other games that started out on pc, like morrowind ( i hate morrowind by the way, hopefully oblivion will change my opinion)
  14. I don't have a nice rig to run pretty games. however, i was planning on purchasing a 360. in light of this, i was wondering how hard it would be to take NWN2 and port it to a console. i don't want this process to start now of course, but eventually, like after the game is out for pc, it would be nice. maybe upgrades/mods could come through xbox live and you can put it on your 360 harddrive? i don't know, but i wish
  15. we'll find out just how bad this is when they spawn a kotor animated series.

Okay, so reading through this thread i saw a lot of ideas i formulated had already been made by others, which is fine by me, but i am here to combine what i think in one post. LadyCrimson and Di (and some others) were right in saying that this problem will phase itself out in 50 years or so as the next generation and its ideals become the head of corporations. Pointing and screaming and legislating that it is unfair and has to change NOW is unrealistic: 1. as others have said, women currently are not encouraged to get the education to be qualified for the heads of corporations, since they currently see a discriminatory firewall for that hiring process. 2. Like Taks said, because of this legislation resentment may come for any number of reasons. "i am more qualified than her", "they can't put restrictions on our company like that!", "i am sexist and won't allow women to be hired" 3. Change in power may cause instability and internal conflict in the corporations because of differing opinion, ideas, and/or viewpoints. It is unfair now, but having a coarse law that addresses situations that should be handled in a fine manner doesn't sound good to me. how can you make a satisfying solution? should there be a certified non-discriminatory overseer of who gets hired? have the government arbitrarily intervene? nothing will change because of what i just wrote. oh well...
  18. right now i am listening to my washing machine. it is relatively loud, but after a while you forget about it...
  19. level 2, eh? suddenly the post count levels mean a lot less to me...
  20. you double-posted. its a simple mistake. and a simple fix. you left though, so it'll probably get deleted by a mod. as for your questions, it is obvious to you and everyone else that the game wasn't quite completed (some would say not completed at all). but most of us liked it enough to look past that. There is a lot of content in the game that got cut, but is still in the files. numerous people have presented said files in places like this. but nobody really knows why revan went to the outer rim. 'he left to confront the real threat' some people say. 'he left because the story was ill-conceived and sucked' others say. hopefully, if there is a K3, it will explain everything and put it all together in a fun game. however, K3 is barely even rumoured about yet...
  21. Your sardonic post obviously took so much time that it simply became pathetic. @DarkAngle: i read your story in its chronological order and i thought you did a good job. as for constructive critisism, i dont have much to say, since i am not a good writer. there are a couple grammatical errors that, when easily corrected, would probably make the story slightly more cohesive. but don't worry much at all about that, since grammar never made a writer what he/she is. anyway, keep it up
  22. i saw FF7 Advent Children again, mostly because of the graphics. they always astound me. the fight scenes would probably be horribly cheesy to some people, but i never cared about that kind of thing in movies. the movie is supposed to be a fantasy anyways, a stretch of reality, and it for sure isn't as bad as the kamehameha stuff in everyone's favourite, DBZ. As for the story, i thought it was good. at least, good enough. but i usually think a lot during movies, about what is going on in people's heads and stuff, which usually makes the movie into something it is not. so unless it is really bad, there isnt a movie i see that has horribly constructed characters or stories in my eyes.
  23. i don't even do art and you have me considering buying the tablet and pen maybe you should get that provision from Wacom and Corel after all...
  24. "I quit smoking with crack" okay then... I don't know. they could probably fit venom in well in one movie, but not with sandman included. plus the green goblin is unresolved.
