[1.06] Spell accuracy
Insolentius posted a question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Notice the base accuracy of my character (and the fact he's buck naked). ... now notice the spell accuracy... Burst of Summer Flame adds +10 accuracy, which means that there's a +12 bonus to accuracy that's unaccounted for. It could be that spell casters gain an extra point of spell accuracy for each level (my character is level 12), but I don't recall ever seeing that mentioned or documented anywhere. ... yup, just confirmed my suspicions. Kana is level 11 and gets a bonus +11 to spell accuracy. Is this working as intended? -
I had reported this bug in 1.05 (https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/80009-105-major-accuracy-stacking/), but I think I figured out what causes it. I stripped my character naked, and the only passive ability that adds +5 accuracy is Mob Justice. In case you missed my original thread; the problem is that every time the main character casts a spell in or out of combat, his accuracy increases by 5. This bug persists until you load the game or make a map transition. This effectively breaks your character in large dungeons, especially if you're using your per-encounter spells.

[BUG 1.0.6.0586] Min Dmg to higher level oozes
Insolentius replied to kmbogd's question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
I have a save file on level 6 of the Endless Paths (and I think there are high level oozes in the lower levels). You can use God mode or something to plow through the enemies and confirm the bugged MIN DR calculation. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9-Aojp0gqQOMncxOWtNN2R3cFE/view?usp=sharing (Kana is bugged in this save file, but that's another issue) EDIT - ... or you can delete the level 4 .lvl and .fog files to reset that map and test the bug there on Swamp Slimes. -
The "bug" with DR has been explained many times. Hirbel's Protective Skin is a Scale Armor. Base DR = 7 || Pierce DR = Base DR * 0.75 = 7 * 0.75 = 5.25 = 5 (rounded down) ... when you add the "fine" enchantment... Base DR = 7 + 2 = 9 || Pierce DR = Base DR * 0.75 = 9 * 0.75 = 6.75 = 7 (rounded up) ... when you add the "pierce-proofed" enchantment, it adds +3 DR to the base DR value only for the purposes of deriving the Pierce DR value Base DR = 7 + 2 + 3 = 12 || Pierce DR = Base DR * 0.75 = 12 * 0.75 = 9 The value of "9" isn't mentioned explicitly because it's identical to the base DR value after the enchantments have been applied. It may sound convoluted, but that's the way the system was designed.

Hey, celliott. Here's a save file with which you can reproduce this bug in an interior environment. (just loot Kana) https://mega.co.nz/#!x5xymADT!ZBLXpCwTfeagygIdAkCZIeqIZsRWIpLntRWuw-MJscE

Od Nua - inconsistent story
Insolentius replied to Insolentius's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
It's funny, I got the name of his son from the dialogue (it's Maros), but I never had him mention that he encased himself in the adra. -
[BUG 1.0.6.0586] Min Dmg to higher level oozes
Insolentius replied to kmbogd's question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
Why wouldn't it be accurate if it affects every high level ooze creature in the game for every player? I reported the issue as well - https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/79332-105-v567-swamp-slimes-dr-doesnt-function-properly/ -

... and you didn't fix this issue. Good job. Now I can't go back to 1.05.

Turns out all those Boston and MIT (the Institute) rumors from a couple of years ago were true. Cool.

One of the spirits on level 13 mentions that Od Nua was slain and that this followers have shown their true colors afterwards. However, the spirit later mentions that Durious (I think that's how the name was spelled), was looking for a way to breach the door to the inner chamber by infusing the souls of the mob who have pledged to defeat Od Nua into it, thereby granting the mob access to Od Nua. So... how was Od Nua slain by the mob before the door was breached? Furthermore, his Animat guardians were still "alive" in the inner chamber, meaning that the mob never got past them. Who killed him? How did the end up encased in adra? There were dozens of "vacant" Animat armor pieces strewn across the ground on level 14, meaning that a battle had been raging raging there, but who took part in the fighting considering the mob never got past the Animat guards on level 13?

Look at my starting accuracy value... ... I cast a couple of spells outside of combat... ... and look at my accuracy now... Basically, every time you cast a spell outside of combat, the accuracy raises by five. Neat, eh? EDIT - this either affects only druids or the main character (I was unable to reproduce this bug with my companions)

[BUG 1.0.6.0591] Text of initial load screen exceeds boundary
Insolentius replied to kmbogd's question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
I have experienced the same problem in 1.05 as well. -
You think that the plot is shallow and not dark enough? How far are you into the game? Have you experienced the lovely screams of Sanitarium patients, the peculiar interests of Helig the Necromancer, Lumdala's magnificent theater, the benevolent Lord Raedric, Durance and his lovely tale of deicide, the amicable Ethik Nôl druids?

Lockpicking failure

Are you using a hired adventurer? What version are you running? -
Are you using a virtual LAN network (e.g. Hamachi, Tunngle etc.)?

Most scrolls use almost identical values as their respective spells, but the Scroll of Moonwell seems broken. Compare the following two... Three seconds of increased defenses and 12 endurance is absolutely worthless for a level 4 scroll that requires rare ingredients when compared to ~20 endurance per tick and 20 seconds of increased defenses provided by the original spell. This must have been an oversight.

Kestorik becomes hostile if you mention the Master Below, even though you gained permission from the Vithrack leader before talking to him (and mentioned this during the conversation). The dialogue line indicates that Kestorik is letting you pass through in peace ("Go, then" & "thwarted anger") (check the screenshot). The problem stems from the fact that he becomes hostile the moment you mention the Master Below. The hostility should trigger only if you didn't have the leader's permission beforehand and chose the [Attack] option during conversation.
