Russia passes more homophobia laws
There it is. Punishing the jocks. In this case, the sweaty armpits of Vladimir Putin.

Russia passes more homophobia laws
Yes, I'm sure the sixteen year old gay kid getting his head cracked open in the high school men's locker room after gym class only needs to be educated about why the jocks are uncomfortable with his existence so he can coexist with them peacefully.

What you did today
I had an orange cat named Milo. No blue cats, yet. Reservoir Dogs Yeah yeah, I know. No "Mr. Pink," "Mr. Brown," or "Mr. White," either. Mr. Grey and Mr. Black is the result of me being too lazy to think of official names anymore. In "person" I don't even call them those very often...just "hey hon, looklook, black kitty is being cute again" or "Such a beggar, kittah want some tweets? Huh? Of course you do. Tweetstweets, Furface always wants some tweets." ...what is it about animals that makes so many of us talk like that. Edit: I could call one FuzzyPants and the other FuzzyButt, but ... nah. Yeah, my cats have names but I rarely use them in favour of whatever comes up. Common terms they respond to more than their names at this point: Engelbert Humperdinck, Doctor Droolababble and Binkulinus the Third of Poofington.

What are you playing now?
This free Unity browser game: http://fenglee.com/game/aog/ It's based on some anime I've never seen, but it's incredibly entertaining once you figure out the controls. (Press Esc) You use dual grappling hooks to climb up "titans" and get to their weak spot to kill them.

Those are some truly awful pictures though. The contrast makes them look like they have painful, contageous skin diseases.

Game devs starting to call out some of the *crazy* vitriol
Not that random, it was probably around the time of that media circus around the gang rapes in India.

Movies You've Seen Recently
Saw Pacific Rim again (I had promised my friend to go see it with him but I got invited along by my brother already). The first time, I saw it in what my theater called 3D XD format (4k resolution, 48fps projection Real3D and Dolby Atmos) and while the 3D did not give me a headache like it usually did, but not noticably better than a regular theater with HD Real3D and Dolby Digital. Lord how I was wrong, I am now a supporter of high end theater technology. That stuff beats out any home cinema.

Playing some full conversions for Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Modding support for a horror game has created the most terrifying thing ever: User created jumpscares.

Movies You've Seen Recently
Pacific Rim is incredibly entertaining and refreshingly earnest, never doing a wink-wink nudge-nudge thing. The action is exceptional as long as you see it in 2D or high level 3D variants (i.e. HFR Projection) otherwise it will be too dark to see. The ending is slightly disappointing, but only because the sequences before that are so good they are impossible to top. It is, however, not a smart movie and there isn't an original moment in the entire film. Plotwise, if I had to compare it to a movie of the top of my head, I'd compare it to Independence Day. It does have more heart than most blockbusters, but that's still not saying a lot.

Drew Struzan has a lot of variation in composition (i.e. the floating heads weren't in the same spot over and over). These two posters are practically the exact same composition. I guess you stick with what works, but these are a bit too close for my comfort.

Are we getting the PE we were led to believe was on the horizon during the KS?
Blarghagh replied to IndiraLightfoot's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I agree with this 100%. I want to have something with the feeling of the Infinity Engine games, not the exact mechanics. Especially not the exact mechanics.
