  1. Oh... that makes more sense. I guess I'm misremembering stuff then.
  2. I feel like you have achieved the perfect synergy with your chosen username.
  3. That's not entirely true, and there's a whole early game sidequest addressing this exact issue. There's a law (whose name eludes me right now) enforced severely by Nerat that protects children under certain age from being inducted into the Chorus on pain of death. You can even use this law yourself to give a better to life to a guy who should objectively be too young to serve, but slipped through because his gang boss is a moron.
  4. Reminds me of the only ME3 ending that even distantly resembled something coherent. Is that the ending where a colorful beam shoots into space?
  5. I didn’t mean anything ill by it! Like Boeroer said, OP has made a civilized and reasonable point. It’s just the fact the chose his post to open with what amounts to “I’m a worthless piece of trash” that disturbs me. I apologize if I jumped the gun with assumptions, but I’ve been there. It’s not a nice place to be in.
  6. While I like to experience most things in games, I don't want to have this scene, nor a mutiny for that matter. I'd ditch the entire crew for Worthless Idiot. Handsome Eliam could stay too. Well, you're kind of missing out. In one of those events, Worthless Idiot becomes the captain of the ship and you have to battle through his minions to regain control over the Defiant. I'm a wussy xD Do we have to kill him? No, because I made that up.

  8. Please, please don't take it the wrong way: I'm really the last person to make fun of such things, and I don't want to be mean or dismiss your points, but think you need to seek help. This part is genuinely worrying.
  9. Birta has more than just the Wilder trait, though. It's the other trait firing.
  10. I don't know if I should make an old man joke or a druggy joke. Flip a coin and assume I said one of them. Well, that's charitable either way. I assumed people would go with "sycophantic coward".
  11. ^ As evidenced by the fact that when a dragon slaughters her devotees in PoE 1, she can go all "lol dun care she's a mom too".
  12. What does it say about me if the guy I identified with most was Lantry?
  13. "Death by gellarde" lol From what I recall: ^- endgame spoilers. Either way, destroying the stone dooms Tikawara as a settlement.
  14. Wouldn't that kinda-sorta go against the message of the series, though?
  15. My ability bars and resource indicators seem to have disappeared completely after the beta patch, but seemingly only for the casters in the party (two wizards/druid, didn't get a chance to check priests yet). Did this happen to anyone else, too? Is there any way to turn them back on?
  16. Big Mouth doesn't intervene in all of the vignettes relating to surgeons overall because of his Wilder trait. If you want your surgeons to participate in events, it can't be a Wilder.
  17. If it was Rymrgand and Magran... Jesus Christ whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
  18. Well, here’s my crackpot theory on this: Personally, I feel like the weirdly overindulgent god cameos are setups for future DLC material. I have a hunch these shorter DLC adventures may revolve around individual gods, and will be direct continuations of quests already present in the game. Consider: -Rymrgand plainly states that he is not done with you (obvious setup for Beast of Winter) -Galawain’s personal involvement in the monstrous engineered sea beasties of Deadfire may hint at a part in Seeker, Slayer, Survivor (a combat-themed DLC revolving around facing “Eora’s most skilled and savage”) -Wael’s presence in the observatory/Arkemyr quest meshes well with the Forgotten Sanctum DLC (and the blurb confirms it will revolve around both eldritch secrets and the archmage council) Too much of a coincidence, no?
  19. Off the top of my head, there's Ponamu the Bird-Scorned in Anslog's Compass who's just a bonus DLC item vendor in PoE 1. Then you launch Deadfire and discover his statue in the palace in Neketaka, where he is credited as a big shot explorer among the Huana.
  20. Wael technically has the Hand Occult, but I don't think they're mentioned very often in Deadfire.
