As long as they come out ok, who cares what shape they're in.

Just because I want it to come out on DVD doesn't mean I wont buy it if it only comes out on CDs. You're right though, those stats are probably fairly inacurate considering the small and most likely biased sample.

Drinking alcohol is not necessarily bad.. being an alcoholic usually is. The same can be said for pornography. If someone lets it control them it could lead to destructive tendencies. Just like there's AA I don't see how a PA could be a bad thing.

You don't know who he is? *shock*

Still not the "hot" Mira I was hoping for.. but damn, that is a lot better. Did you just edit the lips?

That was a very good quest. I'd like to see more of them, but I'd like to see them make it much harder to pick the right one. It was pretty easy to find out the truth, just by going through all the conversation options. Jolees friends trial was also good, especially since it didn't have a real happy ending. I actually didn't like that quest much at all. There was really no puzzle solving involved, just following a sequence of scripted dialogs until you got to the end. However, making a quest like that actually require a decent amount of problem solving would probably be rather difficult because of the static nature of the dialog trees.

All the distribution/packaging is probably up to LucasArts. So if you all want it out on DVD it's probably best to contact them about it.

The reason why CDs are still used is because so many people still have them. With pcs you arn't forced into one hardware configuration, which is both a blessing and a curse. The publisher also wants to reach the most people it possibly can with the game (increased sales) and people with CD and/or DVD drives can play the CD version. While I'd like for them to release a DVD version for the pc, they'll only do it if they think there's money in it for them.

I heard a release date rumor of June 17, 2004. Usually when it comes to realease dates the rumors are often off ( take a look at HL2/DOOM3 ). Even the official release dates seem to miss quite often.

The man in the kotor 2 start screen!!!
LostStraw replied to sithlord89's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
LOL Ah man that would be so cool. Thanks a lot for at least considering it Akari. And please don't let little stupid things stop you. He doesn't have to have the same clothes I ended with or anything like that. Just my character being there in his all-powerful darkness and evil would be more than enough for me. Again thanks a lot man. Peace. It looked like they were using RT rendering for the background so I assume it would be a trivial task to put your character in the background with whatever clothes he/she had on when you last played. Akari's comments lead me to speculate the possibility of becoming a sith lord and ruling with the others (maybe getting to whoop some ls jedi in the process) -
I would really like to see both CDs and DVDs in the same package. Just like some old games that were shipped with both the big\small floppy disks in the same box. I doubt it would happen though, publishers seem to like pinching pennies.

Most games only require CD swapping at install time. It is a lot easier just to keep track of and store one DVD though. I think all your bits "b" should be bytes "B".

Yeah perfectly in character if Canderous is a big dumb moronic soldier. But he isnt. Hes smart. Big gun doesn't equal tons of firepower in SW. Look at mira's wrist rocket launcher. He also gave him a bionic eye. How tired is that? How about instead he can just wear a frigging helmet. One with map overlays, Friend or FOe targeting systems, night vision, IR, built in radio link etc. Well there ya go. You havent seen many. It has more to do with her ubiquiotous spandex clothing. And the fact he puts her in boots when Cathar really shouldnt use any footwear. But hey even Bioware made sure Bastila's orange clothing was nice and tight with ample endowments to accentuate. Male artists really need to get laid more. I dont MIND. But he has put it in a public forum for comment. In which case its a matter of if we LIKE it. I wouldnt say its any worse than most unoriginal and uninspired artwork Ive seen in too many bad comics and games. You bring up a good point.. Mira is using a ROCKET LAUNCHER, not a gun (different ends to the same means). I would also imagine If a small gun can do lots of damage a big one would be able to do more. Since you bring up points from KOTOR, I'll bring up one you conveniently missed. Canderous came with a big gun that looked very silly. I think Weiser's interpretation to be a much better one. As far as the bionic eye, what would you replace it with? A helmet is much more bulky and only extra advantage would be for protection (much more likely to get damaged). Glasses would get in the way much more, and well, a bionic eye just makes more sense, as long as the technology for it exists in the KOTOR universe. I do think the breast plate on Juhani looks kinda funny though, it really doesn't go with the rest of her suit very well and looks out of place. And if you think she looks like a hooker, you have some strange tastes in hookers.

"Seductive power of the dark side." Say again?
LostStraw replied to alx1078's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I have a theory that since Revan was wearing his robes before he ever found the Star Map on Dantooine, he was Darkside then. His robes did not change to "Darkside only" with him, did they? Revan also wore his "Darkside only" mask there! It is my belief that Revan never "fell" to the Darkside, but was a Darksider all along. I doubt the Star Forge corrupted this "greatest of Jedi's". How easy was it for Darkside Players to "fool" the Jedi council? Considering the council was too blind to even notice my glowing yellow eyes, I'd have to say... not too hard. -
I believe both UT2k4 and Farcry were released on DVDs as well as CDs. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. DVDs wont really become popular until the majority of games get big enough to actually warrant a DVD instead of 5+ CDs. It will happen, but probably not for a while.

Reminds me of the old QFG1 days where the user had to type in every command. I remember one time I was bored and got my character to hemorrhage by shoving a lock pick up his nose. If I had been drinking milk there would have been a big mess to clean up I tried again in the remake with no success.

I think the fonts are a bit too big. I'm currently running at 1024x768 on an 18" moniter.

Sorry if you didn't notice the dripping sarcasm I'm part of the 18+ group by the way. Don't assume I'm young just because I act immature.

You can't beat a good crotch rub... damn I'm lonely. <_<

every contestant should be stripped off everything except his favourite weapon - whatever that may be. a little bit like the box fight in Fallout2 Couldn't you sneak in the brass knuckles? Sucked when that guy bit your ear off though.....lost a point of charisma I believe it was a pair of boxing gloves with metal plates in them. Nothing like beating your opponent while maiming him too. Edit: Instead of calling them c***pits, we should just start calling them dickpits to get around the censorship.

What kind of schematics? Ship bluebrint kinda stuff? Are you talking schematics where it's a static texture of some pretty design, or something that's more dynamic/functional that would update/change such as a readout of crewmembers, planets visited, damage to ship, etc.. (would be cool)

Hello, Luke Skywalker. How are you today?
LostStraw replied to Ivan the Terrible's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
What about middle name(s)? Are they not included, or would they just be used under the <FullName> token? -
It must be a dirty word, the board doesn't lie.

Change #1 #3 and #6 would have made it a lot better. And did the robots really need to talk to eachother using voice commands and witty remarks? Especially with those anoying voices?

I can't even see it I guess I'll have to wait to see it all in it's magnificent beauty.
