  1. The problems with POTD have nothing to do with BoB. It's way too easy either way and the scaling doesn't even work.
  2. Well the game has a steller metacritic user and critic scores.... However I will note the difficulty bugs are kinda bad. Scaling doesn't seem to work on an already too easy POTD.
  3. Okay, upgraded Animated Weapons is amazing damage. Each of them hits for 40-60+ and there is 8 of them. If you micromanage all 8 to constantly use empowered attacks they can do 100+ depending on the weapon it is. They also benefit nicely from the fire lash chant and any other nice ally dmg buffs for even more dmg (More so than other summons since there are 8 of them and they hit decently).
  4. Man Gambit seems very fun, i"ll probably try a solo POTD Assassin next play through. What are the best weapons for a such a build? Would it still be OP if I used dual pistols? Which skills give you the death blow afflictions? And for skills, max out stealth?
  5. Not sure if this classifies as broken but "Mercy and Kindness" is pretty damn strong. 100% Bonus Healing is a bit much? https://pillarsofeternity2.wiki.fextralife.com/Mercy+and+Kindness+Followed+Where'er+She+Walked Applies to most spells and even potions. With Alchemy and that Chant, a minor health potion has 170 healing! My Ancient Memory heals 3 points per second as well, and both Chants overlap at almost all times.
  6. One question, when you invis as a Rogue can you reset combat? So kill 1 enemy, invis and run away, and keep doing this to easy solo?
  7. T5 Drakes have a spammable (no limit) empowered (seemingly no limit) fireball, and 2 of them constantly churning these out with beckoner. Not exactly early game, but quite nice at level 9 (if single classed).
  8. Takes a bit to get to the place were they feel strong. First few levels are painful. Try to get the +2 evocation gloves (through Berath's Blessing vendor on first island), and be a Nature Godlike, this is very helpful.
  9. So its only Ogres and above who get Empowered attack options? Would of thought Wisps would have some attack options. Maybe upgraded Wyrms get options as well since the description mentions unique attacks. Didn't have time to test those 2 but it is possible. But even if it did expend a charge, 6 empowers is a lot, and would refresh on resummon. That number is probably higher than intended as well lol.
  10. Okay so I tried a few of the other Chanter summons like "Animated Weapons", "Ogres, "Swamp Creatures, and The T5 Drakes, their empowered attacks also do not consume their own empower charges. But now I'm trying to figure out if those subsequent attacks actually benefit from Empower, or if it is just a visual bug. Oh and Animated Weapons are prety nice. They each randomly get a diff class ability like Flames of Devotion or Wounding Arrow depending on the weapon type. 8 of them and do good dmg. Pure Beckoner is awesome-sauce.
  11. So with Drake being so good its about whether its worth it to Multi a Beckoner? Also is it the Dragon with unlimited empower or the tier 5 Drakes as well? It depends your Beckoner build I suppose. It's probably worth it to pure class Beckoner for those Drakes if you are aiming at relying mostly Summon damage. Very strong. I haven't tried the t5 Drakes, ill test that soon though.
  12. Solo'ing as pure Beckoner. I can confirm the Wyrm Dragons having unlimited empower as Chanter. Even if you are Beckoner, both will do this. They are quite amazing. Also confirmed by 2 experienced players in another thread. But I'm going to be honest, all of these teir 9 skills being OP honestly don't give me that much concern - the game is nearly finished by then.
  13. So would you go for Beckoner or Trabadour (potentially more up time?) for a pure Chanter Summoner build? Beckoner may get twice the Summons via Evocation but Trabodour will get twice the skeletons from that skelly chant or if the dmg buff chants stack and go to summons help the summons out more? Correct. Ahhh everything makes sense now lol. I guess I won't be multi-classing my Chanter now, that sounds amazing. If you are a Beckoner do both do this?
  14. For Solo Wizard what would be the best secondary class? I feel Assassin/Wizard might be the way to go with Solo to faceroll groups on stealth opener and smoke bomb. Or maybe WIzard/GoldPact to be super tanky and then nuke stuff down, albiet a bit slower?
  15. Untrue. I just used it on skeletons and a charge was 1 less after combat ended. I said summons not summoner, u can control your drake and use its empower unlimited times. Well the skill I used it on has "Summon" tag. https://pillarsofeternity2.wiki.fextralife.com/If+their+Bones+Still+Slept+Under+that+Hill,+None+Can+Say I guess its only high lvl summons? Have u tried it.
  16. Untrue. I just used it on skeletons and a charge was 1 less after combat ended.
  17. Alright cool I'll try something with Beckoner or Troubadour. But I'm still curious if Rogue invisibility/combat-stealth moves can be used to reset the fight.
  18. I like to mess around SOLO in these types of games. What are some pretty good SOLO Builds people have found on launch (and beta)? I'm thinking either some mix of rogue (for quick opener kills and re-stealth) or summoner based with beckoner. No clue tbh haven't tried SOLO myself.
  19. Ogre form isn't as good as the druid ones (which last long enough) and just a waste as Shifter probably wants enchanter buff spells on him while in Animal form which transmuter does not get. Shifter/Pure Wizard is a solid choice.
  20. Full ranger is fun, and easy enough to POTD. On a plus as mentioned above, very little micro as well.
