  1. For everyone living in the Eastern Time Zone, Deadfire releases at 1 pm for us.
  2. I'm certainly going to try, but I know I'm going to have daily chores to do and also make dinner that day before my wife gets home late from work. So I may end up playing Deadfire in the evening or even later then that, after our daughter has been put to bed. The worse that could happen to me is that I end up playing it on the ninth, in the early morning hours (12 am or so) after everyone in my family but me has long since gone to bed, can I see myself finding the time to just sit down and really play/enjoy this game like I want to.
  3. I know in Pillars 1 I always brought Aloth and Durance along in my party. So I do not think that much is going to change for Deadfire, more then likely I'm planning to bring Aloth (wizard) along. Going to keep Aloth as a pure speller caster that way he's able to use the higher tier spells. Also bringing Xoti (priest and monk). Xoti's going to take Durance's place as the party's main healer and as a monk she should be able to hold her own in most of the fights. Right now I'm settling with just only using two spell casters, but have to wait till Deadfire releases to see if I want to add another spell caster to my party or not.
  4. Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana has been in my backlog for GOG, since it came out (was mainly do to it crashing all the time). But since finding out about the set Affinity Core temporary fix, the game has became bearable ..dare I say even enjoyable. Also the ingame soundtrack is kickass, Sunshine Coastline being one of my new favorite tracks, Night Survivor being my second favorite. Both of them are good songs, but that said all the soundtracks are great. Having the main storyline take place on Seiren Island, which may just so happen to be cursed, it's a pretty cool idea. This just makes me want to learn as much as I can about the island's unknown past history, while at the same time I'm also trying to get everyone safely off this bloody island ..all alive hopefully.
  5. It was clarified yesterday that it was being worked on yesterday in the Livestream. When news comes out we'll certainly know. I can't imagine it'll be a Herculean effort. Good to hear. At least this was not forgetting about (not that, that's likely). As a GOG user I was hoping to have the DLC items from the Seafarer's Scavenger Hunt too.
  6. Now I would really love to see a Arcanum 2 being made. To me the first Arcanum was a underrated gem, plus I like any video game that takes place in a steampunk setting.
  7. I'm in the same boat as you. It's taking forever to download through GOG Galaxy for me. Man I can not wait to play this.
  8. Beast Of Winter and The Forgotten Sanctum sound pretty cool. Seeker, Slayer, Survivor not so much (it just sounds like it's mostly combat based). Hopefully those 3 DLC are all enjoyable, but you can only really found out when they have released.
  9. It will be my Watcher (unbroken fighter), plus Eder, Pallegina and Aloth. Since all 3 are returning and they already formed a friendship with my Watcher. Then other two party members are going to be Maini Rua (the sister of Kana, former companion) she will take up the marksman role. Lastly there is Xoti because hey maybe sooner or later you need the help of someone who can heal you, I'm looking at you Aloth.
  10. Not sure if there will be a preload option (I know there was none for Pillars of Eternity 1). But one can hope, I know I am. But if not I'm just going to let Deadfire download through GoG Galaxy and go do something else while I wait.
  11. I guess I could say I'm a little addicted (but if it's a single player game). I know if the video game has a really good main plot-line I could be drawn in and spend a few hours every other day playing. But it's more so true if the game has a fully open world or even semi open. Can't remember how many times I told my wife I was only just going to be playing for a hour and instead it turns into a few hours later.
  12. Just started a play through of The Technomancer (having played Mars War Logs and really enjoyed it). Doing a Rogue/Technomancer combat build. Speaking of combat, combat in this game is a mixed bag, most days I been enjoying it, then other days I just want to pull my hair out from it starting to get on my nerves. Also the main plot line is pretty good. it has got me wondering, if you/they will ever make contact with Earth. As to the side quests a few of them I have enjoyed, the others are nothing really to wrote home about.. your standard fair, go here kill this or pick this up and bring it back type of thing. Companions (meat shields) are just there to draw attention off you, so you can easily get a few hits in on your enemies when there back is turned. Phobos and Niesha are the companions I use most, but I do switch them out with Amelia Reacher and Andrew so I can level them up too (Scott Seeker being rarely ever used).
  13. My third favorite is Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans. Second favorite's Knights of Sidonia. But my all time favorite is Full Metal Panic! and Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid (Sousuke Sagara is just a total badass in them).
  14. This does looks pretty cool (I always loved mech video games. Mech Warrior being one of my favorites). But with Deadfire releasing soon, I may buy this through GOG down the road when I have a little more free time to spend.
  15. I use to smoke cigars and even did a little weed while gaming. But those days are behind me now since I got married (plus we wanted to try for kids).
  16. What I'm looking forward to most in Deadfire is, - 1. Aloth, Eder and Pallegina also returning as your companions. - 2. Being able to fully explore the entirety of Deadfire Archipelago. - 3. Older abilities and talents returning (as well as the new ones). - 4. Brand new main storyline, plus new different side quests to do. - 5. Getting to captain your very own ship and also crew members. - 6. Hopefully new gear we will get (armors, weapons and shields). - 7. Different pets both old and new (happy that they give bonuses).
  17. I finally started a playthrough of Tales Of Berseria. I bought this months ago but forgot I owned it (for PS4), I have to say I'm enjoying this much more then I did it's prequel video game : Tales of Zestiria. Also planning to get the Steam version of Tales of Berseria for PC, hopefully maybe sometime soon. Between this and Tower of Time, I'm goood till Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire comes out next month.
  18. So far in Tower of Time, the tower's second floor is done and I also finished the third floor. Now my party is finally moving on to hopefully clear the fourth floor. Also totally forgot the Frosting (Blademaster) joined my party half way through the third floor when I got to the market area. - EDIT: All right, the what seems like endless waves of enemies are starting to really get on my nerves, were fun the first few times around but not anymore. I'm still enjoying the game's storyline as you travel from floor to floor. [My Main battle party's been ; the Shieldguard (leader), the Marksman, the Druid, and lastly the Runelord.]
  19. Well I finally finished the first floor in Tower of Time (lot of the battles there where challenging but in a good way. Beat the hidden wall battle challenge, along with also the mausoleum one, but I had to come back after I got my fourth party member the Dwarf, to finish that one). Now I'm just slowly working through the second floor.
  20. Got hooked on this song, Sixlight - Burning Out.
  21. Continuing my fighter tank build from PoE (want to try out the new unbroken sub class) he will stay a single class. Aloth, Eder and Pallegina are also going to stay as a single class. The last two companions will be multiclassed. Those two will have to fill more then one role, cause of the party limit being lowered just only five now.
  22. Enjoyed those two set ups, main being the most used. Main : Meadow human, sword and shield, fighter (Tank build). Other : Meadow human, two handed sword, fighter (DPS build).
  23. The wife's off today so she's cooking tonight, but she's not sure what yet. Me I'm just going to be finishing up the few of my chores that are not done yet (like the laundry).
  24. Tower of Time just come out yesterday and I have to say I been enjoying it, I been wanting a good classic RPG. Also there's no exp gained through kills, to get stronger you instead level your party up through a upgradeable city, EDIT: Game mainly takes place in a tower that your party explores floor by floor. Your main goal is to reach the final floor, killing any enemies you meet that get in your way.
