  1. What I really would not give for a upgrade option on GOG, so I could spend a little more and upgrade to the Royal Edition, I'm not really in the mood to spend another $89.99.. on top of the $45, I already spent to pre-order the Hero Edition. Still was worth every penny I spent in the end.
  2. I would love to know this myself. I already bought the Hero Edition on GOG and would love to buy the digital strategy guide and Campaign Almanac to go with the game, short of buying the Royal Edition.
  3. Obsidian Entertainment and Paradox Interactive invite our fans and backers to join us for a night of revelry and celebration at the Pillars of Eternity Launch party at the luxurious Sutra Nightclub! After 2.5 years of development Pillars of Eternity will finally go live to the public on March 26th! We would love for you to be there with us as the clock strikes midnight and share in that moment of success. ^ https://www.facebook.com/events/1557953291132697/?ref=98 Got that from Obsidian's FB page, man I wish I could go to that party, but sadly I work the next day so no drinks for me. Going to play Pillars of Eternity when I get home from work when it releases, good thing I have the weekend off to stay up. That inn is something I am looking forward to finding myself.
  4. Nope. As it says up the top this is from Obsidian's facebook page. That page also says a launch event is happening, 7pm Pacific, Wednesday night. Hmm ... Midnight release I hope, keep my fingers crossed.
  5. Oh man The Wailing Banshee Inn looks badass, I can not wait to see it for myself in all it's broken down woe filled glory.
  6. Yeah I'm really looking forward to this day one patch, super hyped. The biggest thing being the fix to the Enchanting UI, since it can get a little confusing at times.
  7. Man pretty cool videos. Few of them I already seen, the one's I did not should hold me over till this game releases the 26th.
  8. I know I'm not really in a big hurry, yeah I still want this game now, but I'm enjoying my playthrough of Assassin's Creed Black Flag till it releases. (Right now I'm really mainly enjoying upgrading the Jackdaw.)
  9. Man this looks so freaking sweet.. too bad I'm not getting the physical standard edition, that game guide and manual both look epic. Well I feel better since I'm going to get a digital copy of the game and Prima game guide. That guide is something I'm enjoying looking forward to reading through.
  10. I have to agree with the Fog of War point. I'm not going to leave the area till the whole map is clear. Also may recreate my person over a dozen times, cause I would be unhappy till I find a build that I like. " 5) When PoE 2 rolls around, I will only play characters that have been imported from the original game." ^ I will be so doing that too, heck I most do this.. if I don't it will not feel right to me. Going to spend hours playing dress up with my companions, so I can check out the armor and weapons sets.
  11. I'm also getting the digital version, but I'm doing this more cause I have a habit of losing things. I already have the hero edition but I'm going to cough up more money for the royal edition on GOG which comes with this guide.
  12. Man 5 more days till Pillars of Eternity is released. The hype is strong with this one, I know I can not wait for this game.
  13. I hope it's more like Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn's exploration was, where regions open up as you get quests and progress through the story. I would be somewhat disappointed if it's not like that.
  14. If I do not choose a fighter for my first play though then. Instead of a melee fighter I would roll a archer: Name: Willow. Race: Wood Elf. Gender: Female. Culture: The Living Lands. Class: Ranger. (Wolf Companion) Background: Explorer or Hunter. Main Items: Short Bow and Scale Armor. Personality: Normally Clever, Honest, Rational. Mgt 15, Con 12, Dex 15, Per 13, Int 12, Res 11. Like my fighter I'm not really sure of a backstory for her just yet. Have to see the game first hand for my self to found out.
  15. I would have to say that I'm excited about the stronghold, the super mega dungeon, learning more about all the companions backstories and also finally founding out what the game's main plot is.
  16. In 1998 I really can not remember what month it was at the time, but I know I found a demo copy of Baldur's Gate in a PC Gamer magazine that my one friend lent me. At the time I did not know what crpgs were but man did this game look cool and I just had to load it up on my old HP computer which did not have a very good video card at the time (it only had that cheap integrated one) and wow just that small taste got me hooked bad on the genre and after bugging my folks for about a few weeks or so, my grandmother went to our local Best Buy and bought me my very own copy. Well a few years later when I was still in high school, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, Icewind Dale and then Icewind Dale II all come out around that time and I bought my own copies after saving my money up for about a year or two and kept on playing them up till and after I graduated in late 2003. I still play them from time to time but I never really finished Fallout 1 and 2 or Planescape: Torment till a few years later after that. I just could not get into them at the time, but after I had a little free time I give them a second chance and something just clicked and I beat them all ..maybe it was cause I was older but who really knows in the end.
  17. I would have to agree with you there, since most popular games have a preload option. I just pre ordered the hero edition on GoG, but I'm not sure if they have a preload option.
  18. ME 1: Garrus, Wrex, Ashley, Tali ME 2: Garrus, Thane, Tali ME 3: Garrus, Tali, Ashley I loved most of the companions honestly, but my least favorites are by far Jacob and Vega (stereotypical and uninspired). Garrus is my bro, calibratin' all day 'er day. Wow!... I'd never guess you liked Garrus that much (joking ) ' Badass. Oh man I just love Garrus as a companion. "Can it wait a bit? I'm in the middle of some calibrations." Epic as heck.
  19. From what I seen of the backers gameplay on YouTube, the answer is yes.
  20. Same here I pre-ordered it too though GOG, got the Hero Edition. Been following it since I first heard about it around 2012. Did not get to back it on Kickstarter was late to the party.
  21. Man I forgot to add a culture to my character, that just totally slipped my mind when I was creating him. Maybe I'll go with The Living Lands or The White that Wends for his culture, since both seem to fit him good and I want something that seems freaky and out there. I'm leaning more toward The White that Wends.
  22. My character at start of first play though: Name: Maximus or Grimm. Race: Human (ethnic group: Thyrtan.) Class: Paladin but also thinking a Fighter. Background: Mercenary, Laborer or Explorer. [if Paladin ; The Shieldbearers of St. Elcga or Kind Wayfarers Order.] For main skills I'm thinking: Athletics, Mechanics, Lore and Survival. (in that order) Normally Benevolent/Honest/Rational/Clever in dialogue, goodie-toe-shoes type. I like many out there am excited to see if we'll get to dive deeper into what happened during the whole Saint's War and see who St. Waidwen really is. I have no real made up backstory for him planned out yet, but I sort of see him being the Mercenary Warrior type and him putting his skills to use for good, but really only if there is good money to be made in the end since he wants to be paid, or maybe not since sometimes it's him just doing it since he can help people. When it comes to combat Grimm mainly uses a sword and also a war bow or crossbow, but he is open to new ideas like using this new thing called a blunderbuss.
  23. Right now playing Assassins Creed Black Flag and getting bored of it, knowing PoE is coming out in less then two weeks.
