Well, I, for one, feel way more secure with the U.S. being a superpower than, say, North Korea, China, or Saudi Arabia. And there's no problem with having a huge army, so long as you don't abuse it.

Many thanks. :D They're all great. The only 2 problems I have with them are: 1. Majority seem to focus around female exile/Revan (I'm a male Revan/exile person myself) But that's no biggie. 2. The frequent appearance of Atton's face. But that stems more from the fact that I just didn't think his character was all that great. " Nevertheless, they're awesome and worth the wait!

Coolest Looking Sith Lord (K1, K2, Movies)

Darth Vader, followed VERY closely by Darth Revan, then Darth Nihilus. -
Yikes! With all these new mods, you can't go anywhere without there being one! I feel like the guy in 1984.

Not to my knowledge. Do you have figures? In any case, even if it's falling, it's still something like a third of total global military expenditure. I'm not so sure. If the US didn't have a large military, Sweden would need one to protect it from who? The Russians, I suppose. But the Russians mostly have a large military to protect themselves from the Americans and the Chinese. Disarmament in parallel would be possible, and I think the Russians would welcome it because of the cost savings. I'm not advocating getting rid of the military entirely (I'd like to, but that's a whole separate argument for another day) - I think most countries want to keep a military for prestige, and Russia more than most because of its superpower past. The idea that 'We have a bigger military than them and them, therefore we are safe' should have died on September 11 2001. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> To answer your first question, we are. The Pentagon, if you remember, announced that it would be closing bases across the country to save money. That's one major thing I can think of. For your second statement, you make it sound like the U.S. would just attack Russia on a whim (I'm not saying that's what you meant). If you look at conflicts in our past, pretty much all of them have been motivated by some sort of need. And, being the world's superpower, sometimes feel like we have to do things ourselves (more on that below) In Vietnam, we were so deathly afraid of communism that we felt we had to stop it from spreading. In the War on Terror, we felt that we had to do something to stop terror and likewise save lives (although Iraq is becoming a problem). We didn't attack Afghanistan because we felt like it, we were lashing back after the 9/11 attacks. And being the world's only superpower, some countries have even come to rely on us for certain issues. When Liberia was undergoing revolution recently, many countries were chastising us for not sending aid (as in military aid) to that country. Many of those same people were yelling at us for being in Iraq. So it can get complicated, to say the least.

I just googled 30 second bunny theatre, and saw the clips they had. Pretty weird stuff. They also have ones from Pulp Fiction, Freddy vs Jason, and Titanic. Oops! We're off topic here, aren't we? I see a mod lurking at the bottom of the screen.

What, did the invaders arrive in giant carrots? Was this anime, by any chance?

Do you think Kotor Was A waste?
Dark Moth replied to DARTHPON's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Agreed. The story in Halo 1 was way better, esp since Halo 2 was almost a repeat of the first one. Although I slightly disagree about transition. In fact, I thought transition between Halo 1+2 was better than K1 +K2. Oh, I have SOF2, too, but its for X-Box. Halo is better, IMO. Very true. Although, the journey could have been much better. <_< A waste of time? No. A disappointment? Yes. Yay! My 300th post! :D -
Exactly. Acutually, I knew they were Roman names, I was just saying they were BASED on all the cool Greek gods already.

Hey! I see it! It's the little suspicious icon for the announcement that wasn't announced! (w00t) Aimo, I was looking at the samples to the comics and they were SWEET! The 4-panel gags were hilarious. Kudos to you, Eisu, and all the other artists involved. And I can't order the da** thing! :'( Nice Atris + exile pic, btw.

Hades One is alive? I saw Topaz Qazar hanging around here earlier this month, but I don't think he posted anything. Name-wise, most of the good Greek gods have been taken. The Titans had some cool names, perhaps we should use one of them, like Kronos, Hyperion, Oranos, Atlas, etc.

KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Dark Moth replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't think they should use old planets in K1. At least, they shouldn't make the environments duplicates of the K1 ones, like K2 did. We basically saw the same maps over again, and while we got some new areas of the planets in K2, it wasn't enough to make them really worthwhile. IMO, K3 should only include old planets if they actually offer different environments. Oh, and by the way, I'd also like to hear some better music in the next installment. Mostly, I thought the music in K1 was better than K2. -

Agreed. It's second only to the original trilogy, IMO. But I don't really need to say again which KOTOR story I prefer. " (see above posts) -
I didn't know you were having a kid! Congratulations. Hmm...I'm tempted to go with lucky 13th, but I'll go with the 16th instead. Good luck.

Meh...my computer's being an a**hole and keeps cutting off the top. <_< Anyway, this pic is me! It's accurate except for the brown skin. (I couldn't get a tan to save my soul)

Same here! I couldn't figure out how to attach the stupid thing to my post. Edit: hmm...I'll try mkreku's idea. If it doesn't work I'm going to cry. :'(

KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Dark Moth replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I think having Bastila return as an NPC would be a good idea. She can live regardless of the type of ending in K1, and the bond between her and Revan would make her a natural choice to aid in finding him/her in K3. And her Battle Meditation would be a great help if there was some huge space battle in the end. (w00t) -

I'm all in favor of Vandar returning. He was my favorite Jedi master of the KOTOR series (not that he had a lot of competition, anyway). -
If Kurt Russel were a little younger, he'd be a good Canerous Ordo. Heck, he might even be good now.

"I find your lack of good presents disturbing." :D Can't say I'm surprised nobody's voted for Sion yet. Despite his cool concept, he didn't really impress me, and it sure looks like I'm not alone. Actually, in the end, he seemed to be kind of a whiner. Especially the way he at first acts like he's above Kreia than is all depressed about not being Kreia's favorite apprentice in the end.

Wait...Authority is Kaftan? Why did he need a new account? Or am I way off base, here? I'm confused.

That wouldn't be the only storyline contradiction in K2. In K1, they implied that the mandalorian fleet was destroyed in a huge battle by Revan's forces. In K2, they changed it to say that Revan was delayed and the exile destroyed them by activating the mass shadow generator. Our genius storytellers show their cleverness again.

One of the strenghts for the romances in K1 was that they actually added to the impact of the plot, I think. With the male Revan/Bastila romance, it added to the drama of the game by introducing these such as internal conflict within the characters. Suddenly, Bastila begins to question herself and the Jedi code, something she hadn't done before, all because of her brooding love for Revan. And then they heighten it further by having Bastila kidnapped and stolen from the one she loves by the Sith. She is twisted into their tool, and ends up betraying the Jedi and Revan. Suddenly, the PC is faced with the possiblity of having to kill the woman he loves (if he was LS). But in the end, of course, you end up fighting her and eventually redeeming her. For me, that was one of my favorite moments of the game, perhaps even more than defeating Malak. For me, it added to the feeling and drama of the whole storyline. And that is one reason that so many people were disappointed with the K2 romances (if you can call them that). They were very shallow and not near the level of K1's. I'm not even sure if you can say that they would have added much to the plot anyway as much as K1's did.

Hoorah. So Battlewookies's a mod, now? Welcome to the jungle, people. And congrats, Fio. Or is it "Chief Fio" now?
