  1. 100+ Hours seems too long for KOTOR III. Perhaps somewhere between 50-70 would be nice. Frankly, if it's going to be that long, it better be worth playing 100+ hours. I'm not going to spend 100+ hours playing a mediocre game. This is well quality comes in.
  2. I'll be the usual odd man out and say NONE! GTA: Vice City + Soul Calibur II for the win.
  3. And just one other thing, julianw (although it's nothing big), Bastila was in her Sith robes on the Star Forge, in yours she seems to be wearing her normal clothes. But that's just me being nitpicky. Again, great picture.
  4. You can never have to much art. :D Sweet, Aimo. Hope to see the finished version of the exile/Nihilus drawing and see what she's doing with her hand. And thank you for drawing Visas!!!
  5. A lot of it is just bad writing. So many things in K2 contradict what we saw in K1. We think in K1 Revan was corrupted by the Star Forge, then we are told it was the Trayus academy. We're told in K1 Revan fell to the dark side, in K2 we are told he "sacrificed" himself to the darkside. Bullcrap. After K2, Revan felt less like your character. What K2 says about Revan not truly being 'evil' is especially rediculous if Revan was DS in K1. Revan was as good or evil as you wanted him/her to be in K1, but K2 tried to change that. I still hold the view that Revan was indeed evil when he was battling the Republic. He was either evil all along (DS) or he became corrupted by outside factors as a LS (Star Forge, Trayus Academy). He might have even tried to use the darkside's power, thinking he could control it, but eventually ended up its slave anyway. As for the True Sith, he most likely discovered them when he was journeying along the outer rim during or after the Mandalorian Wars. (Malachor V, I think is where he first learned about them) From what I've learned, regardless of his alignment, he is fighting the True Sith. Also odd considering one person, even two (the exile goes off to join him) can't hope to defeat an entire empire. If he's LS, he's fighting them to save the Republic and the Jedi. If he's DS, then I guess he's fighting them so they aren't a threat to his own empire, or he may be trying to enslave or subjugate them.
  6. Fantasic, julianw!!! Your Bastila's sweet! And don't worry about Revan's face, there's no 'real' one anyway. You get an "A" for effort. Thank you very much.
  7. So you'd rather have your party members die and be gone for the rest of the game?
  8. You can think of me or your favorite bands however you want to. The fact is I've seen a ton of songs like the ones you posted, even far worse ones. Problem is people who make songs like that are either talking about their own lives or actually trying to make political statements in their songs. Which is fine, but these people constantly rant on and on about how miserable their life is or how horrible/corrupt the government or society is. I'm sure there are exceptions who actually do stuff to help out, but they are just that: exceptions. Many of them amount to little more than whiners, in the long run, and do nothing to improve things. Especially the ones who just complain about how much their lives suck. You think life's so bad? Try going to a third-world country in Africa and live off the land. Think you're society or government is horribly corrupt? Go to some communist country like North Korea, you bunch of whiners. By the way - Metallica: Enter Sandman Say your prayers little one Don't forget, my son To include everyone Tuck you in, warm within Keep you free from sin Till the sandman he comes Sleep with one eye open Gripping your pillow tight Exit light Enter night Take my hand Off to never never land Something's wrong, shut the light Heavy thoughts tonight And they aren't of snow white Dreams of war, dreams of liars Dreams of dragon's fire And of things that will bite Sleep with one eye open Gripping your pillow tight Exit light Enter night Take my hand Off to never never land Now I lay me down to sleep Pray the lord my soul to keep If I die before I wake Pray the lord my soul to take Hush little baby, don't say a word And never mind that noise you heard It's just the beast under your bed, In your closet, in your head Exit light Enter night Grain of sand Exit light Enter night Take my hand We're off to never never land
  9. 'Titanic' being at the top of the list is proof that popularity doesn't always denote quality. It was one of the most over-rated movies ever made, IMO.
  10. ^^ Correct, but the 'romance' with Visas is actually more than you get from Handmaiden. With Visas, you get an actual declaration of love from her, handmaiden just gave you that "I'll fight by your side" speech. But the only other thing you get with Visas is the 'force sex' scene, which is basically the two of you meditating together. I was pretty disappointed because I actually thought you'd get a kiss scene with Visas, and the 'force sex' was a very weak replacement. And I don't think you can blame all the game's problems on time. Even with more time, we'd still have gotten the lame story, recycled environments, bad music, and an influence system that's half-baked. I don't agree with the topic starter that K2 was superior in every way. K1 I thought was better with: 1. Story 2. Ending 3. Characters (and the party members I thought were a lot more likeable) 4. Environments 5. Loading screens (as a whole they all seemed shorter, and that's not because the bar was shorter) 6. Dialogue 7. Music 8. Romance 9. Difficulty 10. Starting environment (Taris was way better, IMO. Peragus was boring as hell) K2 improved on: 1. skills 2. unique feats/powers for party members 3. influence (only certain things, like alignment and turning into Jedi, but it was flawed in certain aspects) 4. Force powers/feats 5. Prestige classes 6. T3 K2 left a bunch of things unimproved, like graphics, loading screens, glitches (actually it might be worse), ranged combat, etc. One thing I also disliked was the Jedi/Sith classes they chose for your party members. Example: Bao-Dur. He was a tech specialist, and was loaded with skill points, but they chose a Jedi Guardian for him, the one with the LEAST amount of skills. I had to raise his intelligence again just to get the right amount of points to keep all his skills up. They should have went with a Sentinal. So, no. But I agree with you on the ending and romances: they were horrible. We got some nice new stuff, but overall it didn't feel like much of an improvement.
  11. Hey, don't look at us. The French can't even pronounce letters correctly. With "trois" being pronounced "twah" and all... That's why everyone should speak Espanol.
  12. That's not how it's pronounced. Or maybe you can tell that to the millions of people who pronounce it that way. It's pronounced Pits-burg over here. Gettysburg is pronounced Getis-burg. Harrisburgh is pronounced haris-burg. That is how we in the U.S. pronounce it. People in different countries prounce things different ways, even if they're speaking the same language. That is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. :D
  13. Honestly, what's the big deal? It's pronounced Pits-burg. I should know because I live there. That is the truth.
  14. So you agree with darthbass? " Most people play or choose the same gender for their character as themselves, at least the first time around. I have actually yet to play as a female PC for either KOTOR, unfortunately. Story-wise, having Revan as a female doesn't appeal that much to me, but for some reason, in K2 I really don't care about exile's gender. Some people like to play as their own gender, some people as the opposite gender, and others just simply don't care. Many times, it just boils down to personal preference.
  15. Truth be told, we don't produce much steel anymore. We used to produce more steel as a city then entire countries did. The steel industry is something we used to be strong in, but aren't really anymore. As for pollution, I live in the outskirts of the city, so it's not very polluted. And we're actually a lot less polluted then we used to be. But one thing I do love about it is the trees. We have a ton of trees. The hills I could sometimes do without, though. Go Steelers!!! @Metadigital: No, it's pronounced with a 'G' at the end. Are you joking? If so, I don't get it. My primitive brain does not comprehend your attempt at humor.
  16. Hot, hazy and humid pretty much describes summers in my hometown 80% of the time. That, and the fact that we get clouds so freakin often. I was in Orlando last year, and even that didn't seem that bad compared to our summers. Of the four seasons we get here, summer is probably my least favorite. As for what my hometown is, just look at my info.
  17. The Oscars aren't even well-rated in our own country. "
  18. Coldplay - Clocks (hope to get their new CD soon) :D
  19. I for one, liked the Harry Potter books, although I think they're a bit over-rated. Too bad Rowling writes like a 12 year old and is a slave to jargon. And you can't tell me she didn't borrow things off of Tolkein. :D
  20. Why? Why not? I don't know. Just thought I'd make a suggestion, is all. It makes it easier on the reader and I think is (in some cases) easier than typing out the whole quote yourself. But you tend to not use that kind of quote even if the posts isn't right above yours, so that's why I mentioned it.
  21. I thought SC2 was better than both Tekken and Mortal Kombat. I felt it had better graphics, better controls, and better combos. I even liked many of the characters better. Hmm...this makes we want to go and play it right now! It's been months since I played that game.
  22. I think Nightmare (or is it Knightmare?) was Sigfried. Nightmare was Sigfried after he had been corrupted and transformed by Soul Edge. Link was in the Gamecube version, and Heihachi was in the PS2 version.
  23. In SC2, I loved Yoshimitsu, Spawn, Nightmare, and Mitsurugi as fighters. But the hottest ones were definitely Ivy, Cassandra, and Seung Mina. I'm eager to see what kind of unlockable characters we'll get. One thing I didn't like in SC2 was that your final three unlockable fighters were basically generic, no-name ones who were mere shadows/combinations of existing ones. Lizardman was one of them.
