KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Dark Moth replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Funny thing is, we can't be sure if some of his threads were mere jokes or not...the guy had a strange mind. I remember the last thread he posted ("hot coffee in K3", I think?) turned into a huge spamfest right away. I think maybe one reply was on topic. Then the thread got deleted, of course. I'd say one of his most memorable was the "implants in other parts of the body" thread. The idea was to take advantage of 'other' body cavities. " -

Probably got lazy after these new mods arrived... Or he's still feasting on Eddo36's body. -
I'm too young to be hearing that kind of stuff! @enha dyone: love the Atris/exile pic. :D @julianw: so that's what malak looks like under his robes! no wonder he fell to the darkside! Although some females would kill for his body. " ugh...your change in avatar made me want to switch to my old one. Curse you!

Wow...if I were Carth, I wouldn't be hesitating. :D Sweet pic, and the comics pages are fantastic. Keep drawing.

60 Hours of Hopeless Romancing
Dark Moth replied to subnubilus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You're wrong. I had more fun playing K1 than K2. Ha. " -
Apprentices and force powers definitely. Mentor I hated (the concept was nice, the character was horrible), story was weak, item creation wasn't necessary since it was so easy, two of the planets were recycled, and the explanations were all weak.

That must mean I'm the second laziest.

Don't mind GoA, he's just being a smartass. 1. M. Night Shymalan? He's the one. His movies all had great twists except for "The Village". That was probably his weakest film yet. 2. K2 did that to an extent. For instance, I knew Kreia was a Sith Lord and didn't trust her anyway, yet couldn't do a thing about it. Even when you learn in the Korriban cave from the visions (that she's manipulating you), you can't do anything. I just had to put up with her and just wait for her to betray me. -
Does Revan's fate make any sense?
Dark Moth replied to Nur Ab Sal's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Thanks, julianw. So, money aside, I've wondered since finishing K2 the first time is why exactly he had to do it by himself? Why couldn't he take anyone with him? And what will his role be when he comes back? If he's LS, he's most likely going to help the Republic against the True Sith, but as a DS, I can't tell for sure what he'll do then. Unless the game goes with the 'canonical' plot and has Revan a LS person anyway. That might anger some fans, but it sure would make continuation easier. Post pruned... several notes to old post deleted -Battlewookiee -
I was suprised to find out this was a Disney song, but I like it nonetheless. Not necessarily the lyrics, but I love listening to it. Ironically, I heard it on GTA: Vice City's soundtrack. aye, but what about beginning sales? Meaning, how well did each do within the first few months? Any data on that? -

60 Hours of Hopeless Romancing
Dark Moth replied to subnubilus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yeah? Well I don't need to hear someone mocking me just cause I happened to not pay attention to details in a game, regardless of what the flamers on Codex might say. Just because I happened to miss the plot twist doesn't make me "oblivious", regardless of what you might say, and it doesn't give you an excuse to be a smartass about it. that was what ticked me off. If you were only kidding, then my bad, but if you weren't, I'll say it again: back off. -

What are you talking about? A lot of people didn't see it coming. And I'm talking about both here and on Bioware AND on other forums. Pardon me if I don't share in your infinite wisdom, oh stoned yoda. But please, if you're going to attempt to bring me down, then do so with a statement you can actually back up. Otherwise, back off. Mostly that was because I didn't pay much attention to dialouge in the game. I was someone who just skimmed it over and skipped through a lot to get back to playing. -
^^^ HERETIC!!!! Burn!!! Actually, I don't own WoW. I did play Warcraft III and its expansion, and I liked both, but I'm too poor to pay monthly for an MMORPG. I wished the Pandarens were a playable race. Playing a giant drunken panda appeals to me for some reason. You make some good points, Calax, but as for race behavior, I think that's simply because everyone's still trying to rebuild their own races (hence they aren't fighting each other in huge battles), and old hatreds are still present, esp. since there's no iminent threat from the burning legion. (hence they have no outside threat to unite them, although I'd say the undead are a threat as much as anything)

K2 had no real 'plot twist' that it relied on. I actually didn't see the huge plot twist in K1 coming. But the 'revelations' we got: the "wound in the force" and "Kreia's betrayal" were only mediocre revelations to me. They never really explained how someone could be a wound in the force. K2 is also the first game to actually contain that concept, if I'm correct. It sounded just like something that would give the Masters a reason to fear you and Kreia a reason to use you. As for Kreia's betrayal, I could see that coming a mile off. " What's worse is that you couldn't do a d@mn thing about it, even after you found out she was the third Sith Lord. -
Well, we already know Launch has a pet. ^^^ I wonder who her husband is... Darth Flatus?

@Kotorfanatic: Good pic so far, it needs just a little work, mostly with what you mentioned. And yes, please make it look a little more like Bastila.

sorting things, Kreia/Kae
Dark Moth replied to Knights&Darths's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
1. You don't know if Kae was a neutralsider, even from her robe. Don't forger: robes can be different colors, even red and blue (as seen in K1). A person can not be a Jedi and still be lightside. Lightside is a description of your character, not which order you belong to. 2. Yes, but there were A LOT of teachers on Dantooine. That's weak at best. 3. Disciple NEVER says Kae was Revan's first and last master. Look at the quote and tell me where he says that. 4. Can you give quotes, please? 5. No, Kae was remembered by all three you mentioned. It was Kreia who was supposedly 'forgotten', but as you know, the masters all remembered her. 6. Where does Kreia exhibit deep knowledge of Echani Rituals? 7. Handmaiden's attitude is far from cryptic, majestic. But I guess that's subjective. Also, I doubt LA or Obsidian would be so shallow as to reuse the whole "I am your parent!!!" theme. It's already been done, and Kreia is dead, so I doubt we'll see any more of her in K3 or any more revelations on her character. But until K3 comes out (if LA ever makes one), we won't know for sure. Also, does anyone here happen to have the exact words of the Jedi Masters on Dantooine? I can't remember if they say "I thought you died in the Mandalorian wars" or "I thought you died at Malachor". -
sorting things, Kreia/Kae
Dark Moth replied to Knights&Darths's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There is no evidence that points to Kreia being Kae. Those who say that Kreia is Handmaiden's mother are simply digging to deep into the story's plotholes. It's all pure speculation. The only reason Kae was mentioned is because they need to explain some of Kreia's past. As for Disciple's comment, he never says that Kae was Revan's first master. And Kae was exiled for having a child (Brianna), Kreia was exiled because she was blamed for Revan's fall to the darkside. And also, Kreia was a historian and Jedi Master for the Jedi (before Atris took over), Kae was a Jedi Knight who, as said by the exile, died in the Mandalorian wars. And also, Kreia there is no evidence in the game or the cut content that indicates Kreia is Kae. If she was, we would have seen more evidence for it. As for both having white hair, you forget two things: Kreia is very old, and Handmaiden's white hair obviously comes from her father, because all her other sisters have white hair, also. Unbelievable that Star Wars.com has no information about Revan or Kreia, otherwise I'd post a link. I'd use the one from wikipedia, but everyone here claims it's nothing but "speculation". Besides, I doubt any man would be desperate enough to make babies with Kreia. -
I'm only 3 and 1/2 years old.

Does Revan's fate make any sense?
Dark Moth replied to Nur Ab Sal's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
That's why I say repeatedly that they should have left Revan out of K2. At least, they shouldn't have made it a direct continuation of K1. Revan was brought up so many times, and his fate didn't make sense. At the end of K2, I had hoped for some closure on Revan, but we got the stupid blurb about the "True Sith" and that was it. Big disappointment. Yet another instance where the devs dropped the ball. As long as Chris Avellone stays far away from K3, I don't think we'll have that much to worry about, though.
