  1. He can kill them all in hoboest way possible. But then he'll unlikely to have proof, they'll just stop answering like Eothas, maybe someday they'll be forgotten. Or not. And if their deaths somehow would have projected to the followers that'd effectively make the Watcher a new god, whether he is one or not.
  2. Which achieves nothing, IMO. Plus you can't increase stats with level in PoE. D&D suffered from its strange idea that everything needs 100500 prerequisites even to the most tamest things (and then turned around and gave things like metamagic and Natural spell almost for free in comparison). I don't think we need that mess here %)
  3. More things to do, not necessary more damage. I've got some ideas back in April, not all of them actually increase things you can actively do, though %) https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/78570-animal-companion-should-be-a-series-of-talents-not-a-class-feedback-on-the-ranger/page-2?do=findComment&comment=1676769
  4. From RP perspective sometimes you might want to do things a certain way even if that isn't the most effective path to personal power.
  5. Isn't that the one which adds… 3(!) DR? Doesn't matter much at level 12.
  6. Not really, at least not everything. 1) and 2) all that means is that one sucker in your party will have to have the skill, probably someone who isn't going with you to battle. 3) that one I happen to like in games as long as you can reasonably find at least some recipes. 4) more loading screens… no. Party priest blesses it, or something, done. 5) not quite sure. Gaining benefits from enchantment… maybe, enchanting – the same as 2).
  7. Properly integrated romance can be a great addition to the story. Some time ago I've played Ar nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star (which happens in Ar tonelico/Surge concerto universe and have quite some amount of lore and its own language), sure it's not western RPG, and all it has in common with PoE are song magicians which Chanter class greatly reminds me of, but nonetheless. You are playing as your own avatar, a robot constructed by heroine. She is bright, lovely and cheerful, and clearly in love with you. Sounds like total wish fulfillment*, right? Well, you are capable to dive into her mindscape and learn more of what's on her mind. * I don't think that's such a bad thing either
  8. Personally, I never played IE games (and not planning to) and still enjoyed PoE.
  9. @zombo You are saying “imaginary relationships” like it's somehow a bad thing
  10. (Another random idea) Maybe phrases should be somewhat more stackable, as in you get to play more than one at the same time. Say, Turn* 1. Phrase 1 starts at full power. Turn 2. Phrase 2 starts at full power, Phrase 1 is weakened but present. Turn 3. Phrase 3 starts at full power, Phrase 2 is weakened but present, Phrase 1 is weak. Turn 4. Phrase 4 starts at full power, Phrase 3 is weakened but present, Phrase 2 is weak, Phrase 1 ends. * Turn is whatever amount of seconds seems appropriate, independent of other actions. Or, alternatively, it starts weaker but becomes stronger each turn, but there is already a problem with fight duration and chants, so maybe not…
  11. Slowpoke here. So… Does that 1-handed style talent applies if you wield a shield as well?
  12. For example, you play a priest of Eothas and see a raving lunatic that wants to join you, rambling about who knows what goddess (which turns out to be a goddess of war) and fate… Dunno, I just said no and moved on. He should've sneak around my party, though, if he was that desperate. Maybe he did, and the game just didn't show it
  13. Is there any technical reason pet slots are disabled for companions? I mean, couldn't the game show more that one pet at the same time? I need my walking zoo of doom with me!
  14. As far as forum goes there is a Change Theme button at the bottom of the page.
  15. (random idea here) Maybe he was trapped in mortal's body instead of willingly going into one?
  16. Pet's primary role is using Takedown. At least that was my experience.
  17. Markers off. Well, playing a priest rewards you for being in line with favored dispositions. I rarely play priests, so it was interesting even if that makes you a bit unflexible. Being not cruel is easy (and I don't really like doing that anyway), but being “not deceptive” is somewhat harder.
  18. Longknife, that's your personal anecdote, though.
  19. (crystal ball looking thing) You'll have to pay in blood XP every time you choose [Romance] lines.
