Work on lightsaber combat
May be two-bladed or two lightsabers are overpowered and they really need more penalty, but I can assure you that if you use single lightsaber with master force speed, you are very dangerous B)

Sparring and Practice Duels
Thi idea of sparring duels is great, but I think it is aplicable only to guardians. If you are consular, you almost don't use your lightsable, so you should practice force powers - imagine "dueling" using force powers with jedi NPC. It will be real fun Nik.

KUMULIRA DIDIBOBO
May be it is too late to discuss this, but there was one geat drawback in K1 voicing - the aliens. It is very boring to hear one and the same phrases all the time. Also the intonation of the voice is not always in sync with the conversation emotion. The most stupid was the voicing of Sasha on Ebon Hawk: the sounds had nothing to do with the letters on the screen. Hope Obsidian will/did take care on this aspect of the game. Nik.

Star Wars Timeframe
Two notes can be made about SW technology: 1. Obviously law of nature are slightly different in SW and some of our technology is not known to SW - e.g. AK-47 assault rifle and bullets in general are much more usefull than the best SW blasters. Also, SW don't have chemical explosives - I think US C3 explosive wil do much more damage than plasma grenade with the same weight. Also some nuke will do betteer than plasma torpedos etc. May be the Universe is not homogenеоus and isothropic. 2. We know that our civilazion developes exponentially in time. But there is no guarantee that at any point saturation appears and further development is much more slowly 3. The most important - SW is fiction B) Nik.

Sub-Quests and Added Depth please
The most important for RPG games is the story. You may have superior graphics, superior combat system, superior voices, superior gameplay, and if the story sucks you have nothing. K1 has good main story and not so good side quests - hope K2 will have both exceptional. There is a lot of room for this. Even two completely different stories can be made for LS and DS ending in K1. Thus we reach the idea to have two different games in one . May be someday it will happen Nik.

Area transition bugs
Original KOTOR had some bugs when you transit from one area to another - the remaining time for stimulants and self-forces (e.g speed) is reinitialized. This is used by some players as cheat, and I think Obsidian should correct it.

Kotor 2 difficulty
Yep, it's very good idea to have some more hard difficulty settings. Hope it will not be difficult for Obsidian to implement it through simple math. Nik.

Docking places
Docking anywhere you want is not possible, because of Air Traffic Control - each planet has centralized ATC coverign the whole atmosphere and orbital space. Nik.

poll: chance of Bastila returning take II
The best will be if you can tell if Bastila is alive or dead and she will appear or not. If she appears there are several possibilities: 1. She is just in the "environment" and nothing more. 2. She plays some minor role. 3. Her appearance is critical in the story. Here we have sub-posiibilities depending on your side alignment. There are so many combinations / roles for Bastila, that every writer could become mad. That is why I think she will not appear at all, or only in the "environment". Nik.

KOTOR II Planets
There are sooooo maaany star wars location, that it will took 10 years if you want to make a game that will include all interesting locations. Just see: you need approximately 1.5-2 years to design 6-7 locations. Nik.

I mean the original ROTJ, not the remake - there was some local celebration and private conversations bewteen characters. Nik.

Dueling
The duelling ring is really cool. The best Obsidian could do is to make it as a separate minigame on each location - just like pazaak. But may be they will not, because if it was not planned in the very beginning of the design, now it will require too much recourses Nik.

More bountys
Yep, it is nice to have a sidequest like Genoharadan, and 5 bounties is definitely too low (50 is definitely too much) May be 10 will be OK, spreaded over all planets. Nik.

Better lightside ending please.
If someone is 5-year old child, the light side ending is KOTOR 1 is OK, but if you are older than 5-years, it is complete disappointment - too kiddish. It should be much more neutral, e.g. as in ROTJ. Nik.

Artificial Intelligence
I don't know if it was already posted, but Obsidian should definitely improve the AI of NPCs. They just do what they want and ruin all your strategy. The most terrible situation is when they run away from you and atack distant opponents. There should be some command like "stick to me" or limit their running-away-from-me distance, or rewrite their AI. Nik.

Hidden endings and codes for KOTOR2
I think there will be some easter eggs in KOTOR2, but to some limited extend. In general, it is good idea to have such elements in a game.

A Rakata as one of your party members.
Yes, they are really cool - with their history almost unlimited number of main and side quests are possible, their voice is well done and the most important: they are new. SW universe is full of overused races and starts to become boring. Something like rakata is a "fresh air". Nik.

3d shooter in 96K
crakkie, Thank you for the list. I have found in a prevoius search most of these articles. Another interesting link is http://mandelbrot.dazibao.free.fr Perlin functions are known since 1983 and they are really very usefull for generating textures and bump maps. Unfortunately this approach is very resource consuming and is not applicable at run time, but at design time great looking textures can be created by artists and designers. I myself plan to write a small texture/bump editor based on perlin functions - just for fun The more interesting is to create some modeling script engine. There are 2 links in your list on this topic I haven't found and I will read them very carefully, also will search for others. Nik.

We can be sure that they are reading most of the boards, but of course can not reply to everything. BTW, 90%+ of all posts are complete nonscence, but this is another subject. What they are doing right now? Because I am in Eastern Europe, and it is morning, right now they are sleeping Nik.
