  1. The story is the same - one is quite enough.
  2. So: KOTOR3 (if there will be) should be developed by both Bio and Obsi.
  3. Yea, this should be make sticky.
  4. EnderWiggin, start your own business (w00t) (w00t) (w00t)
  5. Have they returned your money yet????
  6. Happy New Year to everyone !!
  7. This is a very good overview about games copy protection pros and cons. http://www.bookofhook.com/Article/GameDeve...ionDilemma.html In fact, is copy protection useless??
  8. Of course their will be PC self-help tech forum, just game is released.
  9. In general: NVIDIA cards are better for games with OpenGL, ATI cards are better for games with DirectX.
  10. If you need mid level card, GF 5700 has perfect price/performance ratio.
  11. For 3D it is very usefull to be familiar with illumination theory and all BRDF stuff.
  12. Sometime ago I read that if a game has $50 retail price, the developer takes 10-15. Everithing else goes for publisher/marketing/distribution.
  13. Cheats should be known by all developers, because they are widely used during the development and QA process.
  14. My observation is it takes 30-40 man-months.
  15. And don't forget - some physics is a must
  16. What they could do is take the original themes and apply a lot of adjustments/tuning, like Taris hideout music.
  17. Definitely yes. May be to include mods as well.
  18. Spook, the amount of memory and frequency is not important for a game to run without freezes/crashes. What is important is compatibility between different parts: mainboard, chipset, video card, HD. Just one single bit not transfered correctly between all these parts (and the rate of transger is many billions per second) and your computer crashes. In general, if the bug is freeze/crash/restart, the reason is in the hardware.
  19. I played on my PC 1024x768 all efects on (incl grass and soft shadows), 4xFSAA, 8xAF - absolutely no problems, frame speed at 25-30Hz. But my PC was designed to have the highest possible compatibility between different components.
  20. If you read carefully, you will see that the gamespot review infact is a very good one. The total score is low just because of graphics, not because of gameplay/story/value.
  21. That is right. The technical aspects are as much importnat for e reviewer as the story. K2 may have great story and great gameplay, but when you take into account the old engine, it is not a surprice the total score is down. For example, just recalculate the total score of Gamespot putting value 9 for graphics and see the result ...
  22. This means that the different parts in your computer are well compatable. But many people had big probelms (e.g. try K1 with MSI mainboard, Athlon CPU, nForce chipset and Gygabyte Radion 9600 video - it may not run at all). Just an example. BTW, my computer is fine as well - I had only 2-3 freezes for several plays of K1, so I expect no problems with K2 too.
  23. Due to the INCREDABLE combination of mainboards, chipsets and videocards for PC, the situation will be just like K1: on some PCs it will run smoothly, on others will not run at all, on majority with more or less bugs.
  24. The PC version will have much more bugs than xbox - the reason is obvious.
  25. I think the most realistic reviews and scores are given by gamespot.
