  1. I can't read any of the KOTOR forums any more. I avoid the spoliers area and all, but it's near impossible not to hear about the game. Must. Buy. Game.
  2. I publicy state my problems with Bush, and I didn't vote for him. Yet for months you've called me a fanboi of Bush. Yet, you're dedicated to the truth, all right. You want facts? Here are facts. I stated very clearly that we did not find stockpiles, but we did find evidence that larger staches of weapons were there, while we found small stashes of weapons. Where did I lie? Where did I mislead? Where did I leave out facts? You leave out facts, and seek to mislead. You use Michael Moore quotes, when he has been proven to be a liar. People forget that I'm a Democrat by beliefs, and no major Democrat stands behind Moore because of his lies and tactics. But those weapons clearly exist. The fact that they are missing is actually more scary to me. Do you care that innocent people may be killed with these weapons? Do you care that Saddam used WMD on his own people? No. Do you care that Saddam financially funded terrorists? No. Once again, the facts and real issues don't matter to you. You're hatred for Bush, and Americans has been demonstrated many times before. You will take any excuse to bash the war, which last time I checked, had over 30 different countries supporting. I've quoted you specifically calling Americans stupid. I've quoted you calling Americans rednecks. I got a bunch of PMs from people supporting me, stating they believed you to be a racist. I can dig up all your old posts, lord knows I've done it before. But it doesn't change your behavior in the least, so why bother? I've asked you tons of direct questions, and you never answered any of them. I've never seen you back down from a single lie you've made, so I doubt you ever will. Adults admit from time to time that they're wrong. BTW, here is one such PM I received the last time we argued: .
  3. Space battles in Star Wars? What were we thinking. And I still haven't played KOTOR:2 yet either. I try not to spend money on myself around Christmas. But soon, soon, I will own the precious!
  4. Your skills are more important this time around, and INT gives you skill points.
  5. An epic space battle that we take part it. It doesn't have to be twitchy, but you shouldn't be on a planet or station and miss out on it.
  6. Perhaps they were striving to make a more cinematic RPG, which the Japanese market seems to both crave and pump out. This is Star Wars after all.
  7. I've read a lot of Tim Cain interviews. In every single one he openly said he made mistakes in Arcanum and in ToEE. He admits that ToEE had a good engine, and poor story/quests. Arcanum had a good world, but poor combat. Never once have I seen Tim Cain blame ToEE on Atari.
  8. New games out right now? Let's see. Half Life 2 Halo 2 Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Metal Gear Solid 3 World of Warcraft The Nintendo DS and a bunch of titles for it Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Ghost Recon 2 Need for Speed Underground 2 The Battle for Middle Earth Vampire: Bloodlines Pirates! Call of Duty: Finest Hour Baten Kaitos March Madness 2005 Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone Kingdom Hearts: Chaim of Memories Final Fantasy: Dawn of Souls The Urbz: Sims in the City Dragonball Z: Budokai 3 Prince of Persia: Warrior Within Mario Party 6 Goldeneye: Rouge Agent Viewtiful Joe 2 Yep. There are NO new games out right now. Seriously, who wants to compete with Halo 2, Half-Life 2, GTA:SA, MGS3, and the like at the very same time? Apparently, Lucas Arts does.
  9. Actually the sarin missles we found may have been produced after '91. But the weapons France and Russia sold were sold after '91. Yet you maintain the war was for one reason, and one reason alone, and that reason was a lie created by Bush. That logic boggles the mind. There are several reasons for the war. The preservation of life perhaps being the biggest one. The liberation of 25 million people is always nice. And if this is some lie that Bush just recently invented, why did the UN unanimously decy Iraq for pursuing weapons for the past 12 years? Why unanimously pass over 75 resolutions? Why did intel agencies from countless countries announce Saddam pursed weapons and possess weapons? Last time I checked, Saddam publicly defended terrorism and murder. You defend Saddam and call Bush a horrible person for going after him. It's nice to know where you stand. I've gone back and quoted you all day before. If you'd like, I can do it again, except you're really not worth my time. You also once suggested the world would have been better off if the US never interfered in anyone's business. I'm sure WWI and WWII would have been much better off is the US never assited. I'm sure all the countries that rely on US support to buy food and medicine would be much better off is the US never interferred. You have pubicly, repeatedly decried not only the American administration, but the American people. You've discussed how stupid Americans are, how greedy they are, and how Americans started most of the wars of the 20th century. Well, you've still yet to mention a single war the United States started in the 20th century. You've showed your hands to be a biased racist. You've show how you have strong nationalistic ties, explaining how your country is superior. I've tried to be objective, citing both America's strengths and faults. If as you've said: I can't see the truth because my head is my ass, then why do I quote facts, while you editorialize and leave out crucial details? Why tell so many half-truths? I can deal with trolls. I can deal with people who disagree with me. But you have an agenda of hate, and I'm not going to have anything to do with you. I have ZERO respect for anything you have to say. ZERO. I called you out countless times to answer direct questions, and you couldn't. As far as I'm concerned, I have nothing to say to you.
  10. No Administrative Executive Assistant in Charge of Bagel Toasters?
  11. I've been reading some horror stories in regards to EA as of late. And I know it's the forum policy on these forums not to bash other companies. So I will not decry EA as being inhuman money-grubbers. Instead, I merely point to the accusations surrounding EA and ask a question. I'm pursuing a degree and dreaming of designing games for a living. Is this the industry norm to an extent? I've always heard that crunch time meant mandatory long hours. I can live with that. Yet, these EA stories make it sound like designers are underpaid monkeys being worked like slaves. The developers here seem to enjoy their jobs, which is always a nice perk. But do you feel that the industry as a whole (without naming names) has economic problems where we've come to expect certain products without putting forth the money to pay for the requisite man hours? Games certainly have more complexity today than when Pong game out, yet game prices haven't really skyrocketed over the past 30 years, especially given inflation. We pay the same, and get much nicer games today. Where exactly does the rubber meet the road? Are we running into circumstances where as consumers in a market overtly saturated with new games, developers are forced to get the extra mile for the same wage as before? Lastly, do you feel that programs like Steam are subversive to the industry, or a means to get more money directly to the designer to put out quality games? Edit: info on some of the recent EA claims for purely referential purposes. http://www.livejournal.com/users/joestraitiff/ http://www.livejournal.com/users/ea_spouse/
  12. Pentium 4's that are released today are quite different from the Pentium 4's of old. There are different classes of Pentium 4's with different front side bus speeds, some support hyper threading, etc. They have released tons of NEW Pentium 4 processors since 2001. For a while, the Pentium 4 processors were better than anything AMD had out on the market, but right now I prefer the AMD processors for most uses, especially gaming machines.
  13. All of those quotes say that we did not find STOCKPILES of WMD. I never said we found stockpiles. You said there were no WMD. You said we found no WMD. Funny how some careful edits can tell a vastly different story. You're a big fan of distorting facts.
  14. I like the Sith Ship the best.
  15. This topic has been popular since the forums opened up in February.
  16. Creatures respawn in the XBox version of KOTOR, but not KOTOR:2. So I imagine creatures won't respawn in the PC version of KOTOR:2 either.
  17. I can't be bothered to read the above respones, but why haven't all my questions been answered right away? So like, can I play Revan again as an alien, and as a non-Jedi? And are you including romances again, because I don't want cooties.
  18. Source was designed to be modded. And one of the first things Valve said was that they believed Source would be a good engine, even for RPGs. That's why Troika used it for their RPG.
  19. How much money are you looking to spend on a card? www.newegg.com is dirt cheap. The Rosewill Radeon 9600 Pro series is dirt cheap, and provides a lot of bang for your buck
  20. There are several major releases you can buy on DVD like Everquest 2, City of Heroes, Far Cry, Doom 3, etc. And the only reason we don't see more people release games on DVD are people thinking like you. DVD's are flat-out better, and are dirt cheap. I just bought a dual-layer, 16 speed DVD Burner for $65 with free shipping. DVD-ROM drives are just as cheap as CD-ROM drives. DVD technology has been out over 7 years. There is no real excuse. It's time for publishers to push the envelope a little here and push DVD only releases.
  21. Obisidian hired to split into two teams. I think they're trying to grow and expand. Either way, how would the profits split? How do they decide who lead design or lead programmer is? How do they decide which staff makes the team? You're seeing cooperative efforts from Bioware and Obsidian currently. Bioware gives the engine and advice. Obsidian does the rest. I'm fine with that arrangement.
  22. But two years from now, that's a different story.
  23. What frustrates me is how the media blows up certain stories in the US and completely ignores other stories. I think if more Americans were better informed, they might care more about global affairs.
  24. And while I feel the need to defend the XBox against console-bashers (and PCs against PC-bashers) the XBox is a limited system that likes to heat up, and has but 64 megs of memory. I expect it to struggle a bit and lag from time to time. It's a 733 processor with a 5 year old GPU, and 64 megs of memory!
  25. Europe is comprised of many countries, each with different peoples, each full of individuals. I'm not sure there is a strong European concensus, even though we keep hearing that Europe is anti-US. When Bush was reelected, leaders from France, Germany, Spain, England, etc. all called (and/or wrote) to Bush to congratulate him and say how much they support him. Individuals in Europe support the United States. Many leaders have shown full support. I think the dissenters are more vocal, but I have but impressions from skewed media outlets. The US is a divided country as well. 49% of us voted against Bush.
