Console History
I think Nintendo rides the innovation thing too much, but the were the first to offer shoulder buttons, analog sticks, rumble, etc. etc.

The Best of E3
Concept art can be indicitive of the mood and theme of a game. Would Fallout be the same without its unique style?

Whining about....
People forget that many very early RPGs like Wizardy, Might and Magic, Bard's Tale and the like were all first person. Ultima Underworld was quite good, and it wasn't a FPS with RPG elements. I'll give Spector a shot.

My thoughts on GTA:SA PC version
Sadly, I really have to agree with this.

NBA Finals
They don't start playing until their backs are against the wall. But every important playoff series they have won has been against a team with a major injury, and a team weakness. The Pistons are good, but if Miami was healthy, they wouldn't have won Game 7, and I'm not sure the series would have even gone 7 games. The Spurs are healthier than LA was last year, and far healther than Miami was. And the Spurs are a much better team than either of them. Detroit shouldn't have dug themselves a hole in this one. They should have played with intensity from game 1.

X-Men 3 being systematically destroyed
Eh? Oooooh, you mean all the negative reports which are more often than not, fake, and the positive reports which are a cheap way for producers not willing to use their name to hype the movie. Got it. Screw spy reports. All the spy reports I've ever read were fake. Until someone who actually matters in the film community(a.k.a. not Harry Knowles) confirms it, you'd best assume it was fake. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As I said earlier in the thread, please point to a specific example where one of the actual AICN staff members reported something that turned out to be completely bogus? They ripped scripts like Catwoman, which turned out to be utter crap. And I read where Harry reviewd the Batman Begins script, and he loved it, especially the ending. They had mixed reviews of the batmobile, but I could care less of their opinion. They had pictures of it before anyone on the planet. They have accurate inside sources that get them this info. Their opinions on the info I'm not debating here. AICN does have inside sources, and they scooped everyone on every other piece of X-Men 3 news, and all of their initial scoops proved to be true, and confirmed later. So why is everyone doubting the credibility of this script?

What company have you had a bad experience with?
Procter and Gamble also openly donate money to the Church of Satan, for what its worth.

Misty Eyed Movie Moments
Life is Beautiful. I also cried at Chasing Amy, and I'm the only I only person I know who did. The movie is honest in it's portrayal of people being stupid and passing up their true love of their life because they can't get over petty BS. And yes, I too cried when they killed Optimus Prime.

Atari in Trouble?
Was NwNII even at E3? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes (<{POST_SNAPBACK}>) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Except I checked countless sites and none of them had any info. I checked Atari's list of games at E3 and it didn't include NWN:2. Neither Obsidian, Bioware, Atari's, or Rhomal's site had any indication they were at E3. There are no screenshots, trailers or any new info. If they weren't at the Atari booth, where we they? And how come it didn't show up on any lists of PC RPGs at E3 or RPGs at E3?

Don't cry for me Musopticon The truth is I never left you All through my wild days My mad existence I kept my promise Don't keep your distance And as for fortune, and as for fame I never invited them in Though it seemed to the world they were all I desired They are illusions They are not the solutions they promised to be The answer was here all the time I love you and hope you love me Don't cry for me Musopticon, Because 3DRealms will make BG3 after Duke Nukem Forever!

Revan, The Exile, or a newbie
Either he's bitter to the point where you're not going to change his mind, or he's trolling for responses. In either case, your response will likely do nothing but amuse him. And even if I point such out, it will likely only amuse him that you are helpless to change him or his posting behaviors. He is what he is. Take his opinions with a healthy grain of salt, and appreciate the humor he provides from time to time.

Kotor 3: Ideas and Suggestions
I think the game needs graphics. I don't want to play Zork. Games that make me read suck. The game must be a RPG because I like my character to get progressively more badass. But again, reading is the suxx. The game must feature ultra-cool, ultra-powerful characters who fall prostate to my even more ultra-cool, ultra-powerful character. The game must last 200 hours but never bore me. The game must declare me lord and master. The game must not include any mini-games or optional content that I don't enjoy. I don't understand that these are optional, and might appear to other players. If I don't enjoy them, then no one should get said content. The game should be totally centered on the path my character wants to take. The game must have a romance where some really hot chick totally wants to do it with me. If the romance involves reading and professing love, then it's gay and I want nothing to do with it and will get quite irate that some chick is forcing lame romance on me. I totally want to play Revan and I think the Exile should just disappear faster than you can say plot hole. Who cares. Give me the roxxor character! I don't wany any bugs, and I don't care if no one is currenlty working on this. I also want a new engine, and I want it to launch with the 360 before Christmas. If my demands are not met, then I will never support Obsidian or LucasArts ever again, but I will come to your forums everyday to remind you how upset I am, and that I am boycotting your stupid company. Please, or else!!!!!

Standard Characters Vs Choice Characters
The biggest tool I have as a DM/GM/ST in Pen and Paper games is merely arbitrating consequences for player actions. That makes for a good portion of the story in and of itself. More games need to do this. Very few games have me really sitting and thinking about the actions I take in them.

More evidence that Obsidian is doing KOTORIII ?
Most of the reviews I read didn't really represent my impressions of the game. In most every aspect, KOTOR:2 was a huge improvement over the first game save for a few aspects. 1 - Bugs. KOTOR had some serious bugs, but KOTOR:2 clearly had more. 2 - The Ending was incomplete Overall story preference is subjective, but KOTOR:2 had better characters, dialogue and depth overall. Yet most reviews I read said KOTOR:2 wasn't quite as good as the original and failed to improve on the original in any real noticable way.

Baldur's Gate Rights
X-Men Legends 2 is coming out, Hunter: Redeemer sold well, and Gauntlet: Seven (not Six) Sorrows might be a good entry in said sub-genre. Do we really need another Dark Alliance?

Obsidian Forums Diplomacy Game 1 (OBS-1)
Monday, June 20, 1914; Posted: 5:03 a.m. EDT (09:03 GMT) Moscow, Russia (AP) - New Czar Sworn In - 4 Dead Former Minister of Intelligence Ender Wiggin swore himself in as Tzar of Russia earlier today. He declared the day a national holiday, even going as far as to suggest all Mondays shall be known as Ender-days and that 1/2 priced wings would be available to all citizens on Ender-days. The crowd responded warmly to the self-satirical innaguration in the wake of what many feared would be a bloody coup. Despite having unilateral control over the nation, Wiggin sounded like a man campaigning for his position, appealing to his people for support. He made promises of sweeping changes, noting even that pants would forever be optional in Russia, no matter how cold it gets. Wiggin also declared that he should be referred to as Ender the Great at all times. His wife seemed to smirk at this notion. Some feared riots or violent reprisals with the political upheaval. Dissent was heard from a small vocal minority, who later turned about to be the French. Their bodies were later discovered, however Wiggin denies military action being taken against political detractors. "The French smoke too much, and cigarettes are known to kill!"

Running a Call of Cthulhu game
The Camarilla has chapters world wide. When I was in the Cam we road-tripped alot, and players travelled quite a bit from game to game. Not to mention, people play online. It's one huge world-wide chronicle. Your actions in one city can affect characters on another continent, quite literally. I left the Cam a few years back. Honestly, I had a love-hate relationship. The LARPing was some of the best roleplaying experiences I've ever had, hands down. But Vampire is a very political game, and people never seem to leave the jihad mentality. It's a very favortist, corrupt organization at the higher levels, and I got sick of it. Individual local chapters are often quite good, but don't get too involved with the bureaucracy of the organization. Last time I checked, White Wolf's website has a section for the Camarilla.

Should Tatooine and/or Kashyyk be in KotOR 3
Episode 1 made more money than any other Star Wars film worldwide. People will watch his TV show. People claim they don't care about Star Wars anymore, but they do.

KOTOR III after KOTOR II!
I think in the end you and I would prefer a good story. If the geeks crucify the game before it comes out, then no one will buy it.

X-Men 3 being systematically destroyed
IMDB is a great resource, but I wouldn't trust their data on pre-production as being accurate solely because so much changes during the production on a film. I daily read Cinescape, Aint It Cool and Film Force. All have lots of film news for free.

Standard Characters Vs Choice Characters
Again, I cite an X-Files episode that shows a good progression of how a loyal, honest citizen with good intentions gets twisted to becomming the uber-evil Smoking Man.
