  1. Shows you how much time I've dedicated to the MP, doesn't it.
  2. Haha. We had a few embarrassing party wipes. It would have been sweet running around stealing all your loot, and having you Devs yelling, "you can't even use that on your character!". Yes, I am that guy when it comes to playing online with friends.
  3. I'd be all for Alpha Protocol 2. I'd just like them to open it up a bit; maybe allow you to roam around the big cities, rather than just spend your downtime at the safe houses.
  4. Still on my third play through of Dungeon Siege III, playing as the flame lady. After this, I'm torn between between doing a fourth play through as the only character I haven't played yet (Katarina), or playing one of Obsidian Sr's games, Dragon Age or Dragon Age 2.
  5. My wishlist is basically "more of what's already there". A longer main quest - I've always thought one more "city" to flesh out the struggle would have been nice. It doesn't have to be a huge area, but just one more major quest that takes place in somewhere new. More sidequests - This was especially lacking in a place that's supposed to be as big as Stonebridge. I was anticipating a dozen or so sidequests, even if they were of the Fed-Ex variety, but I don't think there was even half that amount. More companion interaction - Apart from learning about them and conversing when they first join, as well as the odd comment here and there they make and when you influence them, you don't really learn much from them. I liked the combat, I didn't have any issues with the graphics, and the game was surprisingly bug-free (for me). So from the technical side, I don't have any suggestions for improvement. It boils down more to the "meat" of the quests I'd like to see bulked up for the next installment.
  6. Actually, I don't really care either way. If Obsidian adds more options, cool. If they don't, also cool. If the game gets modded, cool. If not, oh well. I was poking fun (not necessarily at you) at people who seem to insist that DSIII is somehow broken or not finished or crappy simply because it doesn't have a feature *they* want.
  7. Here you go, Mr. Sarcasm: http://www.cod4boards.com/forum/showthread...1st-Person-View It's about time! CoD was totally unplayable, and frankly, broken, until that was added!
  8. I want to play Call of Duty in third person mode in multiplayer. What a horrible design flaw that they didn't give us that option. How could they release such a buggy mess like that?
  9. I was going to play, but I didn't want to show up the Devs by dominating them at their own game.
  10. KOTOR II. It's what made me join up for these forums waaaaaaaay back when, and what made me care about every Obsidian project since.
  11. That merchant always showed up in my games, every time I headed in that direction. I don't think it's possible to miss that quest.
  12. So Lucas is like a woman; slow to build, but then when he explodes, watch out?
  13. I got the deed for that and the merchant thing for selling 100,000 worth of coins, but didn't get the achievement for either.
  14. If I had to give it a quick numerical score, it'd probably fall in the 7.5 to 8 range. Granted, I rated it based on my own perception of Obsidian games (ie. I look at the RPG aspects, as opposed to folks who might rate this game based on hack n slash aspects), so perhaps some of the marks I took off aren't fair given the setting of the game. For instance, the linearity of the quests resulted in points being removed, as did the overall lack of story growth of your companions (unless I'm missing something, the only time you actually learn much about them is when you first meet them, and at the very end). Also, while I'm not a big MP fan, I do think the tethered camera and the range of the camera (ie. it always seems as though you should be able to see just a bit more ahead of you, but never can) should be pointed out as a minus. It's not game breaking for me like it apparently seems to be to some that are frothing at the mouth about it, but I also think it could be improved upon. Additionally, there didn't seem to be that many sidequests. The overall main quests weren't bad (though I think maybe one more "major" city/town area with a main quest and a handful of sidequests would have worked great), but where the game felt short was there wasn't the usual bunch of sidequests you find in most other RPGs. Overall, however, I enjoyed the game. Great, fun combat, interesting characters, straight forward but interesting story, and decent replay value.
  15. It seems I haven't missed any chances yet to influence Lucas, then. I'm playing Anjali on my third play through and Lucas is my constant companion. Thus far I've gotten one influence with him, when I chose the skeptical option in the dialogue with Odo about the Causeway. I was wondering if I'd missed any influence chances with him, since I'm at Level 6 and only had that one chance thus far.
  16. I've noticed that my AI companions will continue to fight the mob of enemies after I've died, only coming over to me if there's a bit of a lull in combat. Almost as though they'll finish off whatever current attack sequence they're in the middle of, then make their way to me after.
  17. I wonder if anyone did the Meister quests first (vs. the mines/Queen) and went straight into the charge....without doing the mines & then missing that whole section. Is that even possible or does the game prevent it? On my first time through, I actually did the Meister quests first, then went in search of the Queen. I don't recall it being an option to skip going to meet up with the Queen.
  18. That's fairly usual, isn't it? I guess. I just think they could have expanded on the actual conflict in the game a bit more ... maybe an additional "major" quest for one of the factions in a DLC, rather than kind of "okay, let's take a minute away from this conflict to go on a side journey" type deal. *shrugs*
  19. So the majority of the premise around DA2 is the mage/templar dispute, with a sprinkling of Qunari trouble, yet the DLC attached to it ... brings you back to fighting Darkspawn. Seems instead of building on the key plots in DA2, instead it's more a diversionary quest that doesn't tie in with the existing conflict of the game, no?
  20. Some of the dialogue with the automaton constables are pretty funny, especially when they'll criticize things but in the same tone they'd say "hello" to you with. One that sticks out was when you were tasked with deciding the Krug's fate, and the automaton made some kind of almost sarcastic comment about how it makes perfect sense that the council member would put a stranger who doesn't even know the city in charge of the situation instead of automatons who have been running the city for years.
  21. I always wondered why the camera couldn't be tilted more. Now I know the reason. Until I got used to the camera angle, it always felt like I juuuuust couldn't quite see far enough ahead of me, like I had to literally lean forward and try and peer up along my television screen.
  22. This one sounds like one I might have missed. I'll have to re-check on my next play through.
  23. I've played through the game twice now, once as Lucas and once as Reinhart, and both times I failed to unlock the completionist achievement for doing all main quests and sidequests. I'm a bit stuck, because I literally backtracked across all the maps (when I was able) and couldn't find the missing quest I missed. Without running down every possible quest available, instead, is there one quest(s) that can easily be missed if you do things in a particular order or one where I have to backtrack to a spot I just didn't think of doing again (ie. if I already finished the majority of quests in one town) that I might have missed?
  24. -Let Rajani live -Gave the mansion to Leona -Sided with the cyclopses -Spared the Dapper Gent; had him join the Legion -Promised the Queen I would spare Jeyne and did Do these choices actually change how certain things play out, or is the only effect the end-game slide show?
  25. I gotta admit this is a first for me. I've never seen anyone complain about a game due to the drops you get from enemies before. At least not as the reason they feel the game is unfinished/flawed. Kudos to the OP. I get the MP complaints (especially the tethered camera and the fact only the host can save), those seem like legitimate issues. But complaining about loot drops and having them actually affect whether you like/dislike a game?
