  1. Just because we all act like children on here, doesn't mean we are children. As weird as it sounds, Witch Hunt soured me on the Dragon Age franchise. I know it's kind of a minor thing to get all upset about, but I really disliked the way they "wrapped up" the Morrigan/Warden saga with that piece of cash grab. Knowing me and my weak self-control, I'll pick up DA2 when it's out. But for now, I don't even bother with the Bio forums and have no interest in updates about the game.
  2. At least he didn't randomly attack an NPC you were about to engage in conversation with to finish a quest. One of the NPCs that gave me a quest was standing in her office, and as I approach her to talk to her to tell her I finished her task, my dog launches himself at her, and Boone starts firing his sniper rifle at her. She wasn't "red", and her faction was one that "Liked" me. My own gun wasn't even drawn at the time. So I have no idea why my companions suddenly decided to kill her.
  3. there's a note on the first floor saying that the key is hidden behind the building under the staircase. not sure if you can find it without reading the note first. but I think if you repair the robot first, it'll open the door for you and you won't have to kill Tabitha Really? Can't find the note. And as soon as I repaired the robot and exited that building, Tabitha showed up and she took him with her. So I didn't have a chance to walk around with the robot. Hopefully the key is where you say it is, even without the note. Otherwise I'm screwed.
  4. So I'm trying to finish some BoS quest, where the elder dude sends you to Black Mountain. But I can't get inside that door on the second floor because it requires a key, but I can't find the key. I've already finished the Tabitha quest, but she didn't give me a key to the place when she left (I talked her out of it). Am I stuck? Or is there a key somewhere I haven't looked?
  5. Well, after giving my companion ammo for the new sniper rifle I bought him, Boone now uses it. So at least he's back to using a weapon instead of his fists. But the issue of his default gun disappearing is still there. If I take away the sniper rifle I gave him, he doesn't go back to his default gun. He goes back to using his fists. Guess I'm just going to have to keep an eye on his ammo and make sure he's stocked up.
  6. That's my point though. I can't even get him to use his default weapon. I only gave him a new weapon to use after I noticed he no longer uses his default rifle. I've even tried taking all inventory items I gave him back, which should result in the companion going back to their default gun. But he doesn't. He uses his fists. Yes, I indicated that above. I tried all the various companion commands to try and see if that works, but it doesn't.
  7. What's with the deathclaw difficulty? Even at the maximum level, my party is toast if we come across more than one deathclaw. I can solo through areas with Nightkin, Super mutant masters, and any other enemies. But one friggin' deathclaw gives me no end of trouble.
  8. No ... but I figured, at the very least, the gun would show up slung over his shoulder like when you recruit him. Besides, I bought a brand new sniper rifle just for him that already had a full clip. So at the very least, he should have had one clip of ammo. Plus, I can't see him being out of ammo. I rarely use him, and I've never had to give more ammo to my companions I use more (and who use more ammo in combat because of that).
  9. Playing on the 360 version. Had my first annoying bug today. Boone won't use a rifle anymore. He doesn't have one slung over his shoulder like he usually does, and when I give him guns in his inventory (sniper rifle, hunting rifle, etc.) he won't equip them. So when we come upon enemies, he just charges at them and tries to punch them. I've tried taking all his equipment and then giving them all back to him, I've tried sending him back to the suite and then re-recruiting him, I've tried switching him to melee combat and then back again to ranged, nothing seems to work. I'm way too far into my game to start over, and I'm at a point where I want to bring him along due to fighting against a certain faction he despises. Any suggestions about how to get him to re-equip his rifle?
  10. Well that's strange. I mean, I know the Quinari (sp) look different, but that's a general species shift, not an actual character change. And the "change" is explained basically as "not all Quinari look the same", which is at least plausible. Isabela (the pirate) looks nothing like the character we met in DA:O. I guess I shouldn't really complain. It's really not that big a deal. However, just for the sake of continuity it would have been nice if they came up with a different character to play the part of the "female pirate". It's not like the existing Isabela character was interesting enough or her backstory known enough to warrant her inclusion.
  11. I think that's false information. Nevermind the fact the characters look nothing alike (other than being female).
  12. I'm still in the middle of my first play through, but I just have to give kudos to Obsidian. Unless the game falls apart dramatically the rest of the way through, it's been one of the best RPG games I've played in a while.
  13. Not sure if this has been stated, but how exactly does it work? There are 6 classes, right? Okay, so does my membership fee per month mean I can play 1 class for that amount, or can I make as many different, simultaneous classes as I want for the one monthly fee? I've never played an MMO so I don't know how the charges and account/class structures work.
  14. This. Though I will say I'm morbidly curious to see how BioWare goes about trying to pull off story driven content with an MMO. I'll have to read reviews, however, because a]I don't do much computer gaming anymore and thus no MMO for me, and b]I don't play games that make me pay a monthly charge.
  15. The link Tigranes posted works for US people if you don't mind downloads. I'm actually looking at the 360 version. *hides from the pitchfork wielders*
  16. Nevermind. Apparently it's not out here until next week. And that's Fallout day.
  17. That sucks. I was actually thinking of picking it up today.
  18. I don't want to read the previous threads in case they contain spoilers, so I just have one question: this game is still coming out on the 19th, yes? No delays?
  19. Same. I just can't get into using a female PC. I think it does come down to the "relationships" aspect, in that I can't/don't want to engage male NPCs in romance. Ironically enough, I think if romances were removed, I'd be fine using a female PC.
  20. I guess we know which DLC released on September 7th they put their actual effort into then.
  21. You know what would have been awesome? If they made their new MMO without having to include "The True Sith" and Revan in any way.
  22. Buy it now so you add to Alpha Protocol's sales, then play it later when there's a patch out.
  23. There should be more RPGs set in the Star Wars universe. Specifically, one that follows up on KOTOR II ...
  24. Apparently the Lair of the Shadowbroker DLC, released on the same day as that abomination Witch Hunt, is actually really good. I haven't played ME2 since when I first got it and beat the game, so I can't comment on that DLC myself. Which makes me wonder if this was less of a "EA rushed them" thing, and more of an error on BioWare's part in terms of their idea for Witch Hunt.
  25. Fair enough, but that's kind of besides the point. My point was the fact that even review sites that -- for whatever reasons each individual site has for doing so -- typically rate games from bigger name companies high despite whatever flaws it may have, actually are taking Witch Hunt to task, which just adds further evidence that Witch Hunt is so fundamentally flawed, in regards to what its advertising/marketing suggested it would be, not to mention the actual value of the content, that it simply cannot be ignored.
