  1. I didn't really like how being a Spectre wasn't really a big deal. I mean, the characters would comment on what a big deal it is, but throughout the game it doesn't really do anything. There are places you're still restricted from going, and people still seem to second-guess everything you do/say. I'm a Spectre, damn it. Where's my respect, man?!
  2. With regards to Assassin's Creed, what's with the change in Altair's accent between the original and Revelations? I know it was kind of ridiculous that he had an American accent in the original, but now he's suddenly speaking with a Middle Eastern? accent in Revelations.
  3. The only thing that really bothered me about ME2 was that giant Terminator robot. Any so-called plot holes or inconsistencies, or any "forced" actions in ME2 were minor. So as long as ME3 doesn't have something as equal dumb looking, I won't complain.
  4. Went back to my play through of Assassin's Creed Revelations. I might end up just skipping all the side stuff and concentrating on the main story missions.
  5. Well that's encouraging, at least.
  6. That's tremendous. If this works, it'll save me a lot of time. Not that I don't want to replay ME1 and 2; I want to run through 1, especially, to unlock some of the achievements I missed. But at least I'll already have characters maxed out and ready to go when ME3 comes out.
  7. Let me state right off that I'm pretty technologically retarded when it comes to the XBox360 (not much better with computers, but I'm absolutely useless with the 360). So with that said ... My ME1 and ME2 save data is on my old XBox360 harddrive, the original one with only like 10 GB of memory. I bought a new XBox360 almost two years ago that had more memory, and thus that's the one I use now. So other than attaching my old harddrive to my new 360 unit, I wasn't sure how to actually access those files. I'd heard that there was a thing you could buy to link two 360s, but I didn't want to pay just to do that. Are you saying there's an easier way to do it? I saw that new Cloud feature, but I didn't know what it was.
  8. I've got just over a month to do a replay of both ME1 and ME2 so that I'll have personalized characters to import over to ME3, rather than just using the default one they give you. It kind of sucks because I already DO have some Shepards who I leveled up to max, but that was on my old XBox360 harddrive that I no longer use. The new one doesn't have any ME saves yet.
  9. So it's going to be closer to Oblivion than Dragon Age ...?
  10. So who is getting this on release date? I'm tempted to, but the reviews in this thread of the demo don't exactly scream its awesomeness.
  11. I tried to load up my current play through of Assassin's Creed Revelations, but just couldn't get into it. I don't know what it is ... those Desmond Miles Tetris-like sections really sapped me of my interest. Plus the story just isn't that appealing or deep to keep my interest. Almost done the Ada story in RE4. After that, I'll either move on to Skyrim, or return to Batman Arkham City to finish my New Game+,
  12. I decided to play through Ada's assignment. So much less frustrating not having to tote around a useless baggage (Ashley) and not have to worry about having her die on me.
  13. I finally beat Resident Evil 4 tonight. The Krauser battled was tougher than I thought, mainly because I tried the knifing strategy I saw people mention online. Didn't work for me. I'm terrible wtih the knife. But it didn't take long once I just went back to using my magnum. Also, Saddler is a lot easier than Salazar, in my opinion. Ada throwing you a special rocket launcher helps, but even without it I was doing major damage to him without him touching me. The jet ski ending annoyed me though. I'm not sure whether I want to play Ada's mission, or take a break and go back to Assassin's Creed Revelations. I also have to start Skyrim; I bought that a while ago but haven't played it yet.
  14. My old desktop computer crashed, so it looks like I have to buy a new one. Maybe I'll finally be able to play this game now ...
  15. Hmm.. I don't know what to do then. I really don't feel like pre-ordering it, but if I'm in the mood to pick it up on release date and they have copies available, I might go for it. I just simply don't like pre-ordering anything.
  16. i disagree! http://en.wikipedia....rror_and_terror resident evil 4 was not terrifying (like resident evil 1 often was), but it was plenty horrifying. the village chief, chainsaw villagers, del lago, those creepy chanting hooded guys in the castle etc etc were all horrifying in various degrees. the problem with the game is that there were few moments of terror because you knew that you could usually blast apart whatever horrors you would encounter. until that *thing* towards the end of the game that was nigh unstoppable and had to be run from. there was definitely nothing remaining of the "survival" part of the originals though That's the part I'm coming up on now, I think. I'm not looking forward to it. I prefer enemies I can shoot and kill.
  17. I received an email a couple of weeks back stating that the time for ordering the Collector's Edition is coming near an end, but every online site I visit (Best Buy, Future Shop, Amazon, etc.) still list the Collector's Edition as being available to purchase. Is this a case of them ordering a whole bunch and still having some in stock, or ... if you order from an online site, is there a possibility that you won't actually receive the Collector's Edition?
  18. I must waste bullets or something, because I'm finding my supply of ammo is scarce. I've currently got the blacktail, broken butterfly, riot shotgun, and ... another pistol -- red9 perhaps? -- in my inventory, and all of them are down to their last rounds of ammo. I have no more spare ammo in my inventory. I'm a few minutes into Chapter 5-1. I want the Chicago typewriter for my next play through. That way I don't have to worry about ammo running out. Problem is I'll still have to go through Ada's story before it's unlocked, I believe.
  19. It's probably a cheap way to beat them, but I've used the rocket launcher every opportunity I've gotten against the bosses and tougher enemies in Resident Evil 4. The only ones I didn't use it against was the swamp monster when you're on a boat and can't use it, and against the village chief when I tried to but missed and had to kill him instead with my shotgun.
  20. Also ... it's been a while since I played RE4 for the PS2, so re-playing it on the 360 now has reminded me just how friggin' useless Ashley is to lug around. It seems like the only times I actually "die" in this game is not when I (Leon) am killed, but when the screaming little brat gets killed because she's too stupid to move.
  21. I put AC Revelations away for a bit -- got turned off by those stupid Desmond sections -- and am playing the HD 360 version of Resident Evil 4. Fun game, but like the previous RE games before RE5, the shooting is awkward because of how the character turns. The enemies would be a breeze if the shooting wasn't so clunky, but I guess that's part of the "scary" factor.
  22. I'm just going to wait for them to port it over to the 360 or something. Also, Assassin's Creed Revelations was going okay until I came across those Desmond Miles' memory sections. WTF?! Who was the genius who thought that would be a good addition to the Assassin's Creed series? It's like I'm suddenly playing a mutated version of Tetris.
  23. You've got close to a year until Resident Evil 6 is out. I don't think you need to rush into replaying the previous Resident Evil installments just yet, not unless it takes you a month for each game. I'm finally onto Assassin's Creed Revelations. I really don't know how I feel about it. It's much of the same from Brotherhood, but for some reason, they've switched up some of the buttons/controls, which is giving me issues because I'm automatically pressing the old button and a new action is taking place. For instance, I wanted to turn on Eagle Vision in a crowd, but instead tossed a cherry bomb into the crowd instead. So much for stealth.
  24. With the new trailer for Resident Evil 6 out, I couldn't help but think they're turning it into a straight out 3rd person shooter. It seems even more action oriented than RE4 and RE5 were. Also, 3 protagonists this time? I wonder how that's going to work, whether the game switches from one to the next after each "chapter" is completed, or if they're almost like separate "games" like with Chris/Jill in RE1 or Leon/Claire in RE2. I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't seem Jill Valentine is going to be in the game.
  25. Strictly single-player affair. That's slightly disappointing for me.
