  1. I really liked the intro of Nacho (Michael Mando) and looking forward to seeing how his chr. develops.
  2. *romps around outside in 76F Feb. sunshine while wearing shorts and a t-shirt* California does have it's perks, sometimes. Although I expect it to be rainy and mildly chilly a few more times before true Spring.
  3. Oooo...Netflix has 2nd season of Crossing Lines. I know what I'm doing the rest of the night!
  4. I'd just like to say that any game that allows you to play it in a window, should never have the game pause/stop when that game window isn't the desktop focus. Totally ruins my ability to leave the game running to do something else while I'm waiting for some game task to finish. It's a travesty, I tell you, a travesty.
  5. Well, guys made out of hulking red rock usually aren't my thing (I'm more into the skinny geek made out of tacos and beer) but if he can dance and not step on my feet, then ... uh ... maybe?
  6. I used to love Peter back in the old old days. And I'd still like to love Peter. But he's largely dead to me now. He has nice concepts at times, but I wouldn't trust him to put a game into release that I'd actually want to play, anymore. I mean, one never knows what the future holds, but it's not like I'm going to be buying anything of his on 1st release anytime soon.
  7. I would date Batman, but he would have to take off the costume when at home.
  8. Sitting on the couch w/laptop, browsing the 'net while idly watching Captain Phillips again on TV. My legs are sore and my eyes still feel like they're not working properly. I think I'm not going to move from this comfy couch today. Edit: Now it's Non-Stop on TV. Seen it. At least the laptop can run DK2, so I think it's time to do that instead.
  9. Crab. It's what's for dinner. I like mine really, really, really, really well done.
  10. Good thing I got my copy before then, then. Not that I've played it yet. But I have it!
  11. John Wick. It was ok - I was expecting action scenes to be a bit more enthralling but there was something about them that didn't quite work for me most of the time, even tho they were many and fast paced. That said - there were quite a few "funny-violent" moments that made me chuckle, from dialogue exchanges during fights or like when Wick shot some dude hiding behind a column in the foot. Magically skilled gunman ala The Professional or in Collateral, but not as good as those films. But worth watching if you like such.
  12. The video makes it look not half-bad, but that's not too hard to do. But in general I'm so little into RPG's these days, I think I'll pass, for now at least.
  13. You had to fill a survey with the name you wanted in the thanks section of the credits. They would have used that information for the strategy guide as well, I would assume. Yeah, it was in the backer portal. Ah, yes. I figured that was just for the game itself. I just wasn't aware/spaced out on a Prima guide, I guess. Not really worried about it per se, just a principle sort of thing. I'm weird that way.
  14. Wait a second ... is that a real thing? I don't want my name listed in some book without permission (real name, I mean - if it's KS sign-in nickname I guess that's ok to me). How do they get the Kickstarter list? Edit: maybe I gave tacit permission already...ah well.
  15. Never had a cat do that with me yet, really. Well, except for the usual chin/tail-stropping against the leg. If I'm standing/walking Mr. Black still does the hind-leg stand/front paws on the shirt dance thing. I might have two shirts left without lots of holes in the front... ...currently starving, don't want anything from the pantry. Time to go find something bad for me to eat.
  16. Was asked out on a date. Which is always flattering at my age, but I'm already married, so. It did serve to remind me, however, that perhaps if I'm going to do a social activity or two more often again, maybe I should put the wedding band back on. But I dun wanna. I like jewelry free digits. Cat tale: Mr. Black has learned a new cute-begging trick. Instead of just sitting by my feet giving oogly eyes and pawing my calves, or resting his chin on my slippers, he sits right next to the couch and rests his chin on the couch seat itself. Which results in the cutest expression/head position ever. I think he stays up nights practicing these things.
  17. The original film wasn't what I'd call horror either. More like light suspense with a few jump scares. A lot of focus on strength of family etc. It was Steven Spielberg, after all. Another reboot - although this time I'm at least pleased that they chose a totally different angle for the Zelda Rubinstein role, because you can't try to duplicate Zelda Rubinstein. The clown is nowhere near as creepy looking, imo - it's more like Raggedy Ann.
  18. I'm not really into the respec thing, although in more action-oriented games it's certainly very convenient. But I tend towards choices should have consequences. Even games that have respec, I find I forget it exists/don't use it most of the time. That said, in this modern age, having one respec per character (maybe some kind of opportunity at mid-game, make it a short quest say) wouldn't bother me, for those that want it. I don't think there should be endless EZ respecs, tho. Yeah, I tend to see it that way too.
  19. Better Call Saul eps. 2 - the scene out in the desert was awesome. Supernatural - caught up again. Still not really into this season. I don't find the Crowley's mom to be a great chr....yet.
  20. I'm decent to good with plants ... when I actually remember to tend them, that is. Which most of the time I don't - out of sight out of mind - so then they die or overgrow or become enshrouded in killer alien weeds or otherwise become a problem. Which is the reason I don't tend to regularly garden (vs. just "clean up" the yard) and try to buy almost-no-care shrubs and trees or things like blackberry bushes that you can't seem to kill even if you set them on fire.
  21. @Gromnir - oohhhh, I didn't know they did sliced jalapeno's. The two stores near here ever only carry a few varieties of MrsRenfros at a time (each store different ones of course, sigh). Never seen the jalapeno's. I've love to try some. I mostly buy the Mezzetta "hot" ones because for our typical grocery condiment aisle I like those best for cooking with. Hubby likes the La Costena canned whole ones in the Mexican food aisle because they're the sorta similar to the ones from the taco trucks.
  22. After not doing it much for a long time, I've gone back to wanting/making my "pizza thingies." Simple and the oven warms up the winter kitchen a bit. So I'm eating a couple for lunch now. I'm not much into salsa's (especially canned/bottled ones) but I do like them in tomato-based sauces for a bit o' flavor. Like pizza sauce. So I tried this one recently (MrsRenfro is a decent brand), and I thought a tablespoon or so in my tupperware of sauce would be fine. And it is. But it's a bit hotter than I intended, for pizza, so next time ... a bit less.
  23. Stranded Deep - waiting for an update (definitely needs a lot of balance tweaks), but still messing around in it from time to time. You can mod the game (simple stuff) so I'm sorta playing with a bit of that. Needs bigger storm waves - right now it's kind of like paddling on an endless lake with only mild water movement. Although first it needs a less derpy boat/raft system, so you don't slide out of it while paddling sometimes. Another one of those games where most would find, in its current condition, that after a few or several hours there's "nothing to do," but which I keep messing around in. It's just so ... peaceful. Even with the sharks.
