  1. Is it working on real time now? Some time ago it was a bit strange. If it work well, citzal lance aoe on multiple disengage should be awesome.
  2. ...no... Now i have to add a ranged hellwalker/skald (or bleakwalker/skald) to my to do list... i just arrived at neketaka with my bleakwalker/shifter! Rhaaaaaaaaa !
  3. Streetfighter/bloodmage melee is fun. Magran's shield+concelaut corrosive touch (summon it with a grim and swap grim, it won't disapear) give you good damage, survivability and healt drain. Get yourself flanked and bloodied (bloodmage is nice for this) and enjoy carnage with auto riposte while casting spell. You can get more riposte with wotep but no health drain then, except if you bring a chanter or a sc furyshaper. The good part is you can swap playstyle easily from melee to ranged (mortar...) if you are tired of melee. Edit : being a rogue allow you to cheese 2 megaboss easily. You should be able to solo the game without much difficulty, bloodmage power!
  4. I suspect wizard will be better to prolong spiritshift with wall of draining, ( no need to be a priest to benefit from salvation of time) while having better instant buff. If you go priest, action economy will hurt you (cast time+recovery), and you will miss lot of goodie from martial class. If you go shifter, casting while shifted is a big no no so you wont be able to salvation time yourself too. Druid/priest shine on buff/heal, not on main melee dps which i suppose is the main reason to go shifter.
  5. \o/ So, let's see if i get all the steps right : Wear deltro's cage and get hit by an elec spell; Cast avenging storm (from a scroll) and nature's terror; Have a cipher cast pain link on you; Engage with a FOD (eternal devotion upgrade) attack; Cast sacred imolation; If you drop low, beetle shield or withdraw. You should trigger avenging storm thrice (nature's terror, sacred imolation, pain link (not sure about this one), while adding a fire lash (eternal devotion) and an elec lash (deltro's cage) Am i right?
  6. For the self damage part, wearing voidward ring should offset a huge part of it. For the rest, i suppose a combination of chanter with old siec chant (12% damage dealt as healt), and triumph of crusader from a priest (maybe even the pet socrate : +20health/kill) should allow you to out health the self damage part no? (As long as their is enough mob, won't work on boss). I don't even take in consideration the boar regen and all the hot you can have. Edit: never tried beetle shield spell before, will it work here? Can you cast it on yourself? Edit 2: if a cipher cast pain link, will it work too?
  7. Add avenging storm from a scroll : OK, I Take back what i said about rogue/barbarian being better dps than pala...
  8. Yeah, there is still this possibility ^^. Was thinking a bit more about pala : if you go bleakwalker wearing deltro's cage (with a mate shocking you), a chanter in your team with myth fyr, and pick the frost wildstrike, you have 2*fire+corrode+frost+elec lash on your Fod right? maybe i will try that...
  9. I will go multi too. Streetfighter : very hight dps if you can keep it alive. I love to start fight with a blundebuss shoot with modal on. Allow you to fast cast all your buff (accuracy doesnt matter for this) before going in. You can end your spiritform for rinse and repeat. Berseker : very solid. Boeroer desbribe it well and their is a very Nice post about it on the forum. Try Wotep and the pl2 attack spell (forget the name sorry) when out of spiritshift, quite fun. Not a fan of palla and Monk multi with it, even if it work well. Pala is the best for tanking (i rate rogue and barbarian better for dps) but if you tank you are very susceptible to interrupt, and as a shifter you still need to cast some spell to make the most out of it (personal opinion). Hellwalker make you very fragile on the frontline. If you have a priest for barring death door you, hellwalker may be the best for damage still with boar form. I just don't like relying on it to much.
  10. I'm not a priest expert, but I would say it depend how you want to play : For a pure caster/nuker, i would go SC Magran or Rymrgand (available with mod). -> Magran give echo spells passive and lot of fire damage, and there is a ton of item helping it (otto starcat pet, magran's favor, sun&moon, ring of fire). Biggest issue is lot of fire resistant ennemie in late, -> Rymgrand give lot of frost spells, completing nicely with the fire's spells priest have. Biggest issue is a full dlc with heavy frost resistant (but you still have somes fire spell for backup). I don't like multiclass two damage dealing casters cause you lost some PL and action economy is a thing in late game. For an hybrid melee/caster, i would go either Skaen/assassin (fun but not a frontliner) or streetfighter/rymrgand with spiritual dual axes (cast some buffs, barring death door, and go to town)
  11. If you want a more diversified all rogue teams, you can try : - Kind wayfarer / trickster : main tank + support/heal - Bloodmage / streetfighter : off tank (use draining touch from a grim and swap grim, you will keep draining touch after first hit). Very durable after buff. - Shifter / streetfighter or berseker / streetfighter : off tank / melee dps / healer (if shifter) - Troubadour / streetfighter : range dps + support : aoe mortar with modal on + deltro helm + summoned wisp targetting you (charge the helm and keep you bloodied + avenging storm scroll + Myth fyr song = mass destruction. - Your choice depending of what you want : more heal/cc/damage : skaen/assassin, Beguiler/debonnaire, evoker/assassin.... Front line is very durable with lot of self heals + heavy damage when getting bloodied/flanked and back line annihilate every pack of mob. It will need much more micro than your team tough, but i found it more fun to toy with many different class in a run
  12. Never tried a SC Psion cause i was sceptical too. I'm afraid to be be stuck with "only" low lvl spell for frequent use (at least before getting reaping knives) and to be heavily targeted (not very tanky) causing an heavy loss of psion's regeneration... Glad to know that it can be way better i think as a SC.
  13. I wasn't telling unbroken/chanter was better than unbroken/trickster, no, just that it's good too . On POTD, there was some fight were my main healer get downed after a mistake (fail to interrupt/cc...) which lead the rest of my backline to fell, then only the tank remain. In these "Oh ****..." moment, having a reliable selfsustain tank is quite enjoyable (I agree, it didn't happen often if you know what you do, which is not totally my case yet, even after hundred hours in thiss game, still learning :D)
  14. Unbroken/trickster is very good but need to be supported by the party in (very) long fight. I found Unbroken/troubadour quite nice too cause more self sufficient while still having lot of engagement and great utility (chanter power!). For tanking, definitely a multiclass.
  15. WOW ! Ty very much sir!!! Gonna try this tonight after my work day :D, ton of multiclass to test with this If i understand well : modifying/removing abilities is hell, adding is quick and easy. If so (dumb question incoming), is it possible to do it the dirty way : leaving the vanilla abilitie at PL8, and adding the same abilitie at PL7 without compatibilies issue ? (havn't see how you modded this yet). If you are bored and want to keep modding, don't you think magran priest deserve to get the firebrand PL2 abilitie ?... Anyway, thanks again !!!
  16. It would be great if someone could make a mod for this or for adding it at the arcane archer at least... i know christmas is over but maybe a modder will see this
  17. Yeah, that's what i wasn't sure off : was wondering if each ticks can crit, i now know it don't. Ty both for correcting me :).
  18. Traps in the sandswept ruin (south-west from port maje) give huge XP too (i think i got 2 lvl at least from it). You need good per (19? not sure for trap detection) and 15 mechanic. Which, depending of your class/berath blessing can be reached at lvl 6-7 or 10-11 if solo. No battle needed. You only need 10 mech in reality cause you can buff it with : - consumable : +2 - private dance (neketaka -> wild mare) : +1 - Burglar glove : +2
  19. Yes, Sun&Moon is only here for improving the chance to get phrases, my math are a bit rusty but it should be near 85% chance to get a phrase on a full attack (3 hit : 2 Sun&Moon, 1 scordeo, 50% chance for each hit) if all 3 crits. I still wonder if going 1h (so no scordeo and no battle axe weapon set) for improving hit to crit is more potent or not (trigering blade cascade is still very rng based). With DoC armor + armored grace + abraham + decent dex, you attack pretty fast anyway. Good int and low ennemy defense (will/reflex) lead to frequent crit and long lasting cc, so i always had enough phrases for others invocation (depending of my current comp : more damage, more heals...). The cipher and Tekehu also helped with cc so you can really pick what you want. For interrupting with chant, there is one point i'm not really sure about : Considering 30 int and overlapping chant Swift death + Dragon trashed proc every 3sec (after the first 6s of combat), right? So you should be way more efficient than a troub who can only have one proc every 3sec (no linger) except if he turn off brisk recitation and had a 3rd chant able to interupt, no?
  20. Hello! I'm currently replaying a run with a tactician/skald (i deleted the precedent one by mistake :/) and i wanted to share the idea behind it for gathering thoughs and suggestions for improving it. Build idea : Proc brilliant (tactician) + energized (chanter) and damage/interrupt in aoe whith chant (dragon trashed..., swift wind of death...) while keeping everyone paralized/stunned/prone with invocation, depending on their lowest def. - Brilliant + crits give you very goodphrase generation (nearly as much as troub with brisk recitation+briliant) on, while keeping 2 chant up (max int + brilliant + stuff/food get you easily at 30 int); - Brilliant + interrupts give you heavy discipline refund. Race : Hearth Orlan (for more crit). Weapon set 1 : Sun & Moon + Scordeo edge. - Sun & Moon hit twice (double chance to crit) + lower reflex (modal) helping your chanter stun (thunder rolled) or damage (thrice...) - Scordeo edge for no recovery (easier to proc with fighter cleave attack), to be prolonged with a priest salvation of time Weapon set 2 : Amra (if might>25) or Oathbreaker When scordeo double strike proc, switch to this for massive aoe damage + dot (modal) Armor : Devil of caroc breastplate (for int and con resistance) I don't plan to use sasha singing sabre (could be very nice) cause i'm playing tekehu sc stormspeaker on this run (build around energized+maelstrom + aoe mortar) and he need it to get those 2 invocation up very quickly. With Max int, a cipher (cc + will debuff) and a barb carrying the willbreaker (fort+will debuff), ennemy gets very low reflex/will/fort, making your invoc easy to land. Offensives invocation are cheap with a skald and you regen phrase very quicly. You are sturdy (fighter side), have very good cc, and all the utility of a chanter. Build variation : - Replace tactician with a barbarian (more crits) : not a fan in this case. You get a t3 might inspiration with chanter, scordeo proc (easier to proc with fighter) give you instant recovery anyway, and Amra/oathbreaker give you Aoe/dot + all the invoc Aoe of chanter. yeah, it will give you better crits, you can target fortitude or deflection, but you lose briliant. - replace skald with a troub (more phrase) : i dont think the difference is so great when you take crits (ennemy are permanently cc)+ no recovery in count. What will you suggest to improve it ? (pretty sure there is a lot of room for this), Thanks and happy new year all!
  21. Some multiclass i really loved : 1) Soulblade / Trickster . Build evolve around Wotep (offensive parry) + riposte. Use cipher's spell to buff your accuracy/deviation and debuff ennemy + trickster mirror image and kill them passively while casting spells/do whatever you want. Be carefull of arcane dampener, it will ruin you. 2) Berseker / Druid (ancient or shifter, depend of your taste). Build evolve around spreading Dot and using Wotep AOE to chomp ennemy in (many) pieces at lightning speed (recovery on kill, even from dot). Use taste of the hunt for fun. You need something to counter confusion or you will chomp both ennemy and allies. You can play it with wotep, shifted druid or firebrand (bonus point if you go fire godlike with firebrand for style). 3) Tactician / Skald. Build evolve around crits and brilliant. Infinite ressource + phrases stacking really fast. Bring a cipher for phantom foe. You can replace tactician by a berseker, they have good crit generation too (but no ressource recovery). Use the community patch to cast "the dragon trashed..." and the concentration removal chants. 4) Fury druid / stormspeaker (need a mod) : RP favor for an elemental conjurer. 5) Psion / bloodmage : RP favor by using mostly decay/dot spells & CC. 6) Debonnaire / beguiler : charm, crit, charm, crit, charm, crit.. while standing in the shadows....
  22. Hi Boeroer and ty for this complete answer ! I reckon a streetfighter with mortars is a lot of fun from start to end, but i'm roleplaying an assassin (solo potd) Havn't though of flails, good idea (that's why i asked, gathering good idea :P) . Gonna give it a try. I'm totaly with you on the "their is no best weapon", and that it's very situationnal. Shame that dualwielding 1h melee and ranged don't work on full attacks, pirates feels bad
  23. *Playing with the community patch which change backstab mechanic (raw damage on first hit, making 1h weapon viable) Hello ! As title say, i'm wondering which weapon can i pick to get the best out of vanishing strike (+gambit). I'm already planning to max vanishing strike duration (max int, ooblit pet, food, +10% duration equipements...). My though are : Main hand : Rust's poignard -> Prone ennemy + 35%damage on them. Off hand : Stalker's Patience -> Mercy strike (20% chance recovery on crit) & Mortal wound. I wonder if Scordeo's Edge will be better for blade cascade, seems not very reliable to proc it without aoe strike. Biggest issue i see for this setup is its all pierce damage... What will you advice me for a "main" weapon setup and for a "fallback" weapon setup (will have 3 weapon sets, 2 melee, 1 ranged). Also, does dualwielding a 1h melee and a 1h ranged (let's say an aoe Blunderbuss) will be viable for full attacks ? (wondering about recovery, and if so, in which hand do you need to put the blunderbuss?) Ty very much for your feedback !
  24. Class i see fitting : - wizard (blood mage) : all poison/corrosion spells - druid (ancient) : lot of dots fitting the RP - chanter (troubadour) : come wind of death, white worms, paralyze : have a nice "banshee" feeling. - priest (berath) - cipher Use any combination of thoses. Have played a blood mage/ ancient and it was a lot of fun, lack of + poison/corrosion PL isn't that bad cause you have a lot of + beast PL. Only issue late game : too many spell, in most fight you can't use them all cause things die to fast (even on Potd). Next run will probably be an ancient/troubadour or a blood mage / troubadour.
  25. Wanted to suggest a little variation for a similar Magran's battle priest trinket : Contained spells: 1. Inspired Flame (Lesser Burst of Summer Flame, less base dmg: 14-22, keywords: Fire, Punishment) 2. Spiritual Weapon Greatsword (burning lash scales up with Aggressive/Clever and down with Passionate/Diplomatic dispositions; model: Firebrand) 3. Spiritual Weapon Arquebus (burning lash scales up with Aggressive/Clever and down with Passionate/Diplomatic dispositions; model: Arquebus_Superb) 4. Combusting wound (or Flame shield) 5. Aefyllath ues mith fyr 6. Sunlance 7. Zahndethus’ Draconic Fury 8. FireStag 9. - Additional effects: • Magran‘s blessing : +2 burn AR / -4 freeze AR
