  1. Long time since i played a sc chanter but an easy way to differentiate weapons and dragon will be engagement slot. 0 for weapons : summon for damage. Lot for dragon : summon for holding the lane
  2. Now i cant help but visualize Palagina in an hoven for thanksgiving.... Sacred immolation will never be the same...
  3. And now i want to restart with a SC ranger fo whirling strike with Xefa+AS... I'm not even lvl 10 with my ranger monk... I hate(love) you...
  4. Guess i will restart again for the billion time with a sister of the reaping moon/ghost heart... You guys are not good for my playthroughs... Can't go farther than lvl 10 before you bring another fun combo that I HAVE TO TEST.
  5. In this case (one handed spear), do you think the ranger hight accuracy will be better than the hit to crit conversion from a fighter or berseker for crit cascade? My only regret with ranger dual is that there is no aoe for mob cleaning when going single handed spear... (guess in this case using another weapon thsn the spear with aoe is the best way...)
  6. oO Remember me, if you use clear out, you can potentially trigger this chain for each ennemy hit right ?
  7. Would you recommend SC furyshaper or Multi? If multi wich one? - Priest of Rymgrand (mod) for dual spirit axe, minor avatar and other priest goodies (but can't attack while casting and priest have slow cast spells) - Fighter for clear out, regen, lesser armor recovery, free attack on kill. Fear ward and Unbroken retaliation should hurt - Monk for all the goodie and chance on free attack on crit? Is barbaric retaliation good enough to SC?
  8. The most fun build i've ever played was a monk/druid (shifter). Very powerfull from start to end with a lot of way to play (you can do it all : tank, healer, buffer, melee dps, range dps, spell dps) : - You are very capable in melee (shifted or not) : 6 differents forms (human, bear, boar, stag, cat, wolf) each looking good. Very adaptable. - You are a very nice spellcaster : druids can do AOE damage, single target damage, heal, buffs... and Monk can boost it (Speed/Might/Pen boost, Bonus Int for duration/AOE and even more bonus Might if you go hellwalker subclass).
  9. Seems fine for me, will definitely make melee spiritshift worth considering. Don't think it will be uber broken when you look what other class can do. For unique abilities, do you keep the existings one (like +2AR / Roar from the bear form), or do you plan to have one or two passive and one or two active abilities ? I throw some ideas for new effect (don't want to implement all, maybe one or two /form) : - Bear form : Resistance to might affliction / Might inspiration / Barbaric shout / Stunning blow / Crushing blow, - Boar form : Res to Con / Con inspiration / Charge / Wild sprint / Crippling strike - Cat form : Res to Dex / Dex inspiration / Finishing blow / Crippling strike / Escape / Smoke veil - Stag form : Res to RES / Res Inspiration / Clear out / Blade turning - Wolf form : Rest to Per / Per inspiration / Penetrating strike / Strike the bell - Blight form : Res to Int / Int inspiration / Static thunder (from LDV)/ Ball Lightining / Cracling bolt / Chain Lightning / Storm of seven bolt /
  10. I guess a non-godlike druid/priest bathing in is own maelstrom under BDD whiile wearing the helmet adding %lash with elec damage received should quickly reach stupid lvl of damage....
  11. There is a mod (Evolution if i recall right) which boost the spiritshift in interesting way (it end with broken form but still, some interesting idea in it) : - give resistance/immunity to affliction depending on the form (like cat res/immune to dex, boar res/immune to con) - add some per encounter abilities - dual type damage I will totally enjoy a very boosted martial spiritshift form with a huge drawback -> no cast while shifted (like shifter). edit : shifter will then need a nerf : can only cast 1spell/PL/encounter instead of 2. Or even better, can't cast at all and give him abilities for others martial tree instead.
  12. Well, there is a balance to found beetween - "There is actually no reason to be in spiritform (current fury druid)" and "There is no reason to not-be in spiritform". I feel adding scaling PL to one element is fine without getting broken. Even with this not sure staying in spiritform will outperform weapon bonus (multiclass shifter/martial and lifegiver appart, which already had good reason to shift. Only vanilla Boarform as a broken weapon attack. -> Lance of Mildwood stag & Spine of thicket green will still be stat king for non-fury, non-shifter druid (you will maybe still want to quick shift to cat form for the speed bonus and shift back to human right after). For me spiritshifting is not limited to boost martial abilities, but to emphasis a certain aspect of the subclass. It should be core to the way you play druid. It's actually not the case for all subclass. When while using your (time limited) spiritshift you have more lost than gain, balance is wrong and it become a poor feature. That's my personnal feeling about Fury druid form. (Other subclass can at least use the cat speed boost).
  13. Seem nice for Weather the Storm. For fury spiritshift, different possibilities : - autoattack : buff damage for first target, nerf for the second - autoattack : remove jump, add an aoe (like mortar) - autoattack : add a 2s stun on crit - add bound abilities at different PL (1 use per encounter) - give it a "free" unlimited use of an elec spell (long cast/medium recovery for no abuse) like the PL1 cipher's one - give it a permanent active effect (like returning storm), maybe something togeable with a negative effect too (like can't move) - add a bonus PL to all storm/elec spell while shifted (something like +2 to make it on line with LDV) edit : - autoattack : like for LDV, add a stacking charge on hit and proc on crit edit 2 (the heavy change) : - add all precedent changes, but remove the abilitie to cast spells (like shifter) -> make the blight a living battery
  14. Well say. I need to work more with entropy, still used to vanilla version (BPM's one much better, just realized it... :s ) ... Raaahhh : Avenging storm & BPM entropy on the same PL is a bit sadistic
  15. Please don't^^ it's fun and yeah, balancing other abilities to compete with it is dumb. Rusted armor and Corrode wildstrike passive stack? If yes i overlooked it. I found +55% recovery on (mostly) 3s recovery spells t is not that painfull (way worst than 0 for sure), i use abraham pet mostly for such build. For a fury druid their best spells are elec worded so even +4 water/frost won't make me pick it (and no moonwell :/) it will be an entire other story for other subclass. I missphrased, sorry (not my native language as you may have guessed :P) What i wanted to say is than starting from lvl 8-9 (so quite early), i still have some spells to cast at the end of each fight. Only very early or on rare event (like some SSS fight) i may struggle. Even then, a bit or arcana for some scrolls (or a cipher as you say) can ease this. My feeling is than as a fury, casting spells is more impacting than AA (auto attacking ), different story for a shifter, but then, no blight form. The jump is nice but few way to use it effectively : other jump weapon are easy to get and can AoE to apply effect (like rogue poison/blind). Vs multiple opponents, your spells are better (AoE king), and vs single target (like a boss), the jump is useless, and single damage very low. The chance to interrup on crit is nice (for wildstrike elec), but vs a boss, not that easy to crit for a SC druid. Blight form is not bad in anyway, i just feel it's not optimal to use it (except early game). Elec is indeed really nice and the lash is quite potent, but again, there is an hunting bow with elec damage very early... Having better passive bonus or let's say a permanent active effect while blight shifted (like returning storm) will make it more incentive to use (at least for me). So sad than cat form > blight form for a caster druid Edit : i assume playing in a group, in solo the teleport from blightform can be a life saver.
  16. Well, my experience with fury is that the +2PL elec from wildstrike is overshadowed by +2PL from ezzali armor in link with +3PL for storm from LDV (even worse now with the nice found around Effort hemoraging enchant procing AS and gauntlet proc for every spell crits, it make Effort a clear winner for damage boost...) The 0 recovery is real nice true, but even with heavy armor i can cast most of my spells during a fight. (Post PL9 its worst : one maelstrom can end the fight very quickly, even on POTD). I very rarely use AA with a fury, maybe in early game but it end quickly... For me the best form is the boar with the DOT and regen or the bear for tanking. Even for multiclassing, blight is not that great (others weapons have more interesting build in jump).
  17. Yes, i love the way you tweaked theses (and generally all) ability. Would have loved to see a fast cast point blank lightning damage with stun/paralyse for survivability as a PL6 PL7 though Edit : for fury, i feel the blight form is meh. There is no real situation (except teleport) where staying in the form is a bonus. Maybe (massively) boosting damage or adding item spells to this form can be another option. Like at pl6 you unlock the seven bolt, pl8 the crakling bolt etc... Edit 2 : for weather the storm, is it possible to add a Xpoint damage shield vs elemental attack (or swap the +AR for a bigger shield)? Would help to difference it vs scrolls or forl of the delemgan
  18. For druid, maybe adding item spells to their ability is doable? (Seven bolt from the mantle, bolt of lightning from the voulge...) If not, some tweaked spells from other class can be nice : like a point blank range chain lightning with a paralyse effect...
  19. Good thing i asked then^^ Do you remember if you need to keep sasha singing scimitar on with a SC stormspeaker to benefit from empowered avenging storm refilling phrase like crazy? Long time since i played one and don't have the savegame anymore. If no, having SSC in one set and Effort in another should become a devastating combo no ? -> Equip SSC, empower AS, get some refill, swap to effort, start casting aoe, get phrase back each time a crit occur+ chain lightning...
  20. Just to be sure, every crit should also trigger counfounding blind (rogue : -dev every hit), combusting wound and death of 1000 cut right?
  21. Con affliction and good timing on interrupt (use chant to strip her concentration) make the fight much easier
  22. Hi, Was about to start a new playtrhrough with only sc. Havn't played much with SC paladin and divine retribution (+2 ressource when ally is downed in combat). The easiest way to trigger it should be a chanter summoning skeleton right? Do you know if : - It work with charmed/dominated foe ? - A BDD fire stag using chain explosion can trigger it multiple time? thx!
  23. Two of my favorite overlooked item are : Blightheart bound to Chanter. Every kill give a phrase, no matter the source... alow to chain cast lot of damaging invocation when fighting hordes. lance of the midwoodstag enchanted with lord of the forest. +2 PL is universal so much better than most weapon boost for caster. Just bring a druid for being under plant effect : woodskin or delemgan aspect work very well.
  24. Well, the trickster side bring things than beguiler didn't have : some "ho ****" button (escape, invisibility) and an aoe t3 res affliction. In a good party setup and wise battle engagement you won't need the ho **** button. Beguiler don't need damage cause you have plenty focus and disintegration is good enough (and if in a party, keeping the ennemy from doing anything while you teammate hack them is more important for me). You will also be limited in talent, and cipher got so much fun ones.... If going solo or with limited party member, or planning a riposte build, then it's another story and trickster/beguiler can shine very well. If you want a debuffer, I honestly prefer sc beguiler or a psion/chanter or psion/bloodmage.
