@Devs : Was Aloth/Iselmyr duality inspired by Adam/Andy Brennecke's double personality ? Did he choose to embrace "Andy" after revealing his secret at E3 ? Are they insulting each other at the Office, yelling programming stuff throughout the whole building, scaring people ? Thanks. Dimitri : Are you done modeling the Godlike options for the Player ? It's been said that you had a lot of fun working on these races, but we all know it's because you depise modeling Hair Styles. #HairCurls Dimitri : The new 3D character display in the Inventory looks amazing, did you have to start all of it from scratch, or did you used Base Models from the 1st Game ? Josh : Can you elaborate a bit on the dedicated "Shapeshifting" Druid Sub-Class ? Since the location has changed for a more "Aquatic/Desertic" Location, did you add new transformations reflecting the Deadfire Archipelago, like, as if Druids had to adapt their Spiritshift Forms to the Environment they live in ? (Aquatic, Desert, Aerian, Terrestrial forms, etc). Or will it still be Bear/Boar/Stag/Wolf/Cat ? Any chances you'd show us some of those Ship Types you've been working on in the near future ? Even Concept Arts ! (Shape/Size/Design/Etc) For the Backer Beta, will we get to play the "Vertical Slice" you've been showing us so far or something completely different ? Oh.... & when ? Can't wait to see what you've prepared for Level 9 & 10 Spellcasting Classes. EDIT : If Pillars Of Eternity I, was : "Main Content / Side Content" = 50/50%. What's would be your guess for Deadfire ? 40/60% - 30/70% ? We know Players love Side Content a lot, specialy Hidden Side Content.

Not sure if it's been said so by the devs, but it's been implied or at least assumed to be the 'hearing range' or at least the 'close enough to potentially be audible' range'. Yeah, I think it was in one of the Q&A Stream, where Josh revealed the new Sneaking & Pickpocket System. I think it's fair to assume that it must be this.

First of all, Thanks to Andy for his commentary ! Secondly, UI Dialogue Screen is Ok to me, I just fear that these tiny Icon for required Skills within dialogue will be confusing. Of course, once we'll get to learn them all it won't be a problem, but as of now, I simply can't figure out what the "Book Icon" imply. To resume, I don't wanna wonder everytime : "What's this icon for again ?", "Never seen this one, what is it ?", if you know what I mean... And, it's really not a big deal though. Loved the fact that, when you wanna retarget your Fireball, you don't have to replace your cursor on the "III + Fireball", but simply move the tiny Icon around directly on the battlefield. Good job for that. I wonder what's that "Grey Circle" when sneaking, since it works with "Vision Cone" now. I'd assume they're a "Footsteps Noise" Mechanic implied here. They can see you, but if they don't, they still can hear you if you don't pay attention. Combining Personnal Inventory with The Stash is a cool addition, hope it won't lag when full of items like POE lol. Also.... Show us what's behind that Crafting Button !!! In any future update, I'd like to see some raw sketches/concept arts of Ship Types we unlocked with the associate Stretch Goal. Just some images of what you've planned for us. Shape/Size/Design (InGame ? ) Oh and, if it's not edited in the video, the new streaming system is an INSANE IMPROVEMENT from the first game. Congrats to Bobby Null ! Now, I just remembered that... We have to wait.

Yeah, maybe there's an "Embargo" thing, it happened yesterday for us in France. We had an Interview with Michel Ancel (Beyond Good & Evil II) at E3, with Exclusive Infos about the Game & the release of the video has to be for tomorrow. The thing is, they already had a talk with IGN, yesterday I believe, (they posted a photo of Adam Brennecke on Stage with IGN Host), so that's confusing. Anyway, I off for three days at the Hellfest Festival \m/ , so hopefully there will be tons of Previews & stuff waiting for me when I'll come back Cya around folks ! Hope you're gonna have fun with what they'll release (Alpha/Beta Date ? ^^)

I'm starting to go crazy waiting for anything to pop out about Deadfire ! Hardcore Gamer : No Article yet, Interview with IGN : Can't find it / Not posted yet. There supposed to be a live event from Obsidian, but no communication on it ! I think I'm about to hit my keyBWAHHHHa5FDS55FD46FDSWW364SF8W48DEDFKLJSDLGNL/FFDS5FD4S83F1D8C1V834F86F841D36<1CF83< !

I've just seen a Tweet from Mikey (PR Manager for Obsidian), & it seems like it's not a good news : https://twitter.com/MikeyDowling/status/874866964526768129 I don't know if it will impact their E3, or if it's why they haven't communicate with us about their journey so far but... I hope they'll have no such issue & be able to show some Deadfire soon !

I think this subject may interest some people, One of my concern on the 1st Pillars Of Eternity was that we'd get to know & see, every possible Enchantments we could do, like, from the very begining of the Game. And never had the opportunity to find that great treasure containing that awesome new Recipe for Weapons, Armor, Shields or Hats. Pretty sure it was a lack of time and ressources problem for you to make it happen. But now, killing Concelhaut, or Any Archmage should have this feature in Deadfire. Sneaking in his/her own private Library, looking for Unique Spells & Enchantments that only a powerfull Archmage know about. If I'm a Rogue, or have a Rogue, and sees that, an Archmage keeps his personal Grimoire in his desk. I'd like to have the possibility to sneak in at night, and steal it ! Obviously, Yselmir should manisfest & tell the Hero : "Hey, why not steal this Grimoire from him ?". Of course, Aloth, like the p*ssy he is, (I like Aloth...^^) would instantly disagree : "You can't do that ! it's one the most powerfull Mage's Grimoire in Eora, he must have protected it with all kinds of dangerous spells ! Even put a Curse that prevent others to use it !" etc, etc. Ok, all of this to say, I'd like Unique (hidden) Recipes in terms of Enchantments primarily, and maybe Weapons & Stuff in Deadfire. I hope they will be able to push that feature further this time around.

Well, we kinda know how many monsters they would have add, regarding the Update #19. Kraken Polpovir Helwater Crabs Maiden of the Depths So yeah, anyway, I kinda expect them to give us a surprise. Depending on how the Game Development is going, like : Are they good on schedule, stuff like that, I think we might expect some sort of : "Hey ! We decided to give you those Sea Monsters we talked about during the Campaign" announcement, maybe this E3. Because, since they're going to the Event, it's obviously to show the game but maybe to reveal some spicy things ! It's only guessing but, I think Sea Monsters might still be a thing for the Base Game.

Hi Obsidian ! Let's make a deal : Since we haven't reached the 4.75M Stretch Goal for "Sea Monsters & Fishing". BUT, went pretty close to it, having raised roughly about 4.7M. So, for the lack of these missing 50K.... You could just cut out the Fishing part & give us Sea Monsters ? What do you say ? Deal ? After all, 200k were raised for that goal right ? PS : The wait is....... HYPING.

Maybe a mix of all... Like, having the choice to only upload the Choices & Consequences you made in Pillars 1, but not your Character. Because you have to remember that IF your character died in the 1st Pillars, the consequences he's made are still there, Raedric is still an as**ole, etc. I don't really know, I've mixed feelings about that. I'll be ok on whatever choice they would come up with, but it's ok if they give us the possibility to change everything on our character (Race/Sex, etc), because, as mentioned : It's a "Possibility". If you don't wanna change these for RP purposes, then it's up to you, just select the same Sex & Race you had in the first Game. It's not that hard.

Hi Guys, Wasn't this feature already in the original Pillars of Eternity ? If not, it was in Tyranny right ? Where you could tell any of your 3 companions (Verse, Lantry, KIS, for ex.), how to react in combat in certain circumstances. (Like : Protect, Full Aggro, etc) If not... what is this Player AI Scripting for Companions ? What does it bring to Obsidian for Pillars II ? Thank you

This topic is more about what they can Mix & Merge. Ideas they can develop on. What I say, are things they "might" inspire of, but not necessarily something that "has" to be in the Game. Just havin fun with Speculations. I liked Pillars Combat System, for Spells, things like for exemple, could end up working on the Cooldown System, that I wouldn't mind. Exited for Ciphers aswell

A Big World

After seeing that Campaign Launch Trailer, I must say... this is kinda 3D lol. It seems that we have the possibility to Zoom In really close, like on the Fire Godlike in the Trailer. Looks Beautiful ! I'd be pleased to be able to look at my Party this close. Someone pointed the fact that Aloth flips his Grimoire close when he casts spells, thats some cool detail. Other than that the World looks nice, I wonder what Camera Modes we'll get. -
