Cinema and Movie Thread: coming at you at 24fps
InsaneCommander replied to Raithe's topic in Way Off-Topic
Whatever it does, it doesn't come even close to the device in the movie. But it makes me wonder if there was even more advanced stuff made back then and lost without a trace. -

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Much better than I expected. The somewhat recycled scenes from the first movies and the flashback in the beginning gave me a good impression right away. I expected it would get worse later, but it didn't happen. The story does seem even more far fetched than usual though. I enjoyed it and it's definitely better than Skull Kingdom. I don't remember if @PK htiw klaw eriF has watched it already, so, will the world end now? -

Cinema and Movie Thread: flickering images
InsaneCommander replied to Chairchucker's topic in Way Off-Topic
This felt like it was a series and they decided to take some parts and turn into a 2 hour movie instead. Every character they recruited joined without needing any convincing and most of the time what was about to happen was predictable. Still not that bad, until later in the movie when two massive facepalm moments completely ruined it for me. -

Reacher is back. The three episodes available gave me a good impression for this season. -

It happens to me all the time. And on GOG too. What is even worse for me is that I frequently pause the game and go do other things without saving and reloading. That is why I have 661 h for a single pt of PF:WotR and 403 h of BG3. Well, actually that includes dozens of hours of character creation and test pts too...

Unfortunately, I'm not. I uninstalled the game since I won't play it again for a few months, at least. Hopefully somebody will mod back anything I dislike in the new version. -

There is also the story about preventing another war by approaching the Hitler analogue. But that requires Anya earning 7 stars and, at this rate, it will take decades. -

They definitely lost the plot, but the current Cruise episodes are as entertaining as the show used to be. The first season is almost entirely boring school stuff. Then it remembers it's a Gundam series and you get some (real) battles, death and trauma. The second season is much better but still not that good. -
Elon Musk’s SpaceX successfully launches Starship rocket to space The Superheavy stage blew up, but Starship is on its way. Edit: they lost contact with the Starship.

Franky. No, seriously, they seemed less interesting, especially when focusing on side stories and secondary characters. Damian and his friends aren't a problem, but an episode with them camping? It wasn't that interesting.
