  1. It's been quite some time since I watched this, so I was confused in some scenes, but I still didn't want to watch the recap. It's interesting to compare this with Overlord. In both cases you have characters capable of extremely evil things, but in Tensei Slime they only do it to people who do terrible things to them. If I had to be an isekai character, it would definitely be Rimuru. The guy can recreate anything he wants, including food, mangas, healing potions...
  2. As @melkathi said, this is Transiruby. It's a nice metroidvania, although a simple and easy one. And no, it's not available on GOG. The bike form was an interesting idea, but they should've made large horizontal areas to truly make use of it.
  3. It took me a while to finish Rebel Transmute. The game is good, but at some point it started to be really annoying, with bosses far from save points and some game mechanics that were a little too hard to reproduce. Eventually, I simply decided to enable infinite healing on the accessibility options and rush to the end to see how the story ended. It was nothing that interesting, just a waste of time. Transiruby. A simple and straightforward game, but compared to Rebel Transmute this was great. Too easy, but at least it kept my interest all along and never bothered me. The graphics are quite simple but I liked it a lot.
  4. The Gentlemen Guy Richie's show on Netflix. Not as good as most of his movies, but still entertaining and full of surprises. I watched four episodes so far and I'm looking forward to the next four.
  5. I think they already got better: Eventually you will be able to feed it a 5 year old child's painting and get a high definition image.
  6. 3 Body Problem Watched all 8 episodes. I think it's well adapted, even though they changed the characters, ending up with very different protagonists in most cases. Dumbing down the story is understandable since they would want to make a show for a wider audience. My biggest problem is that the events in the present time don't really look like a global problem since, except for the last episodes, almost everything happens in London and of the 8 or so protagonists, 6 know each other and 5 are a part of a group that studied together.
  7. Tensei Slime returns next Friday. I guess we have "Slimy Fridays" now.
  8. Slow Horses season 3 Another good season. But the mercenaries being worse than Stormtroopers made no sense. The 3 Body Problem I watched two episodes and it's pretty good so far. Who would have expected that from Benioff and Weiss?
  9. @Gorth I'm watching "Moonlit Fantasy" and you'll probably like it. It's very similar to "That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime", with a guy going to another world and eventually founding his own nation with monsters. He was taken by a goddess that thinks he is ugly, so he was cursed and can't speak the human language. Not to mention that every human in the new world is handsome/beautiful so people think he is not one of them.
  10. Frieren 28 Time to see who else passed Serie’s test. Too many screenshots, better do something like what @Gorth does. There were many who passed, which caused Serie to apologise to Sense. Denken made it, because he still has some fire in him, even considering fighting Serie, for a moment. Ubel, in record time, not saying a single word (perhaps Serie is an Ubel armpit enthusiast too?). Land, who was actually sipping tea in his hometown, sending his clones to the exam. Also succeeded Wirbel and Methode (who said Serie was cute). Ehre and Scharf failed. Fern says they can bring guests to the celebration, but Serie forbids Frieren from coming back for the next 1000 years. She waits outside with Stark and Lernen shows up, claiming he wants to be remembered, even if it means as the one who killed Frieren. She informs him that Serie will not forget him, despite being unable to tell her apprentices how she feels. The group says their farewells and Fern reveals that she chose as her prize a spell to make clothes clean and spotless, which caused some disappointment in Serie, something that pleased Frieren. Btw, am I the only one seeing this in Sarex's comment above?
  11. Frieren 27 The second test is over, but Serie is displeased with so many people succeeding, thanks to Frieren’s power. She will personally proctor the third test. Quentin Tarantino is a special guest and plays one of the first class mages. Meanwhile, Stark is still “learning” from the mysterious old man he never saw before. And Fern has had a disagreement with Frieren. The participants that were eliminated are in a bad mood. Richter tries to work in his shop, but keeps being reminded of the test by visitors like Denken, who tries to cheer him up, Laufen, still eating cookies and following Denken, and Frieren, who wants Fern’s staff fixed. Lawine, for once, was feeling so bad she didn’t fight with Kanne. We also learn that one of the first class mages actually noticed Frieren was suppressing her mana and that the “long time” it would take to master that is actually “just” a century or two. Humans and their limited views, right? And, apparently, Serie is also suppressing her already insane level mana. The third test is an interview with Serie. Many fail right away, like Kanne, who is scared of Serie’s mana and can’t imagine herself as a first class mage. In fact, this last part seems to be the common reason for the failure. Frieren, too, fails because of this, but in her case she can’t see herself as a first class mage because she was sure Serie would fail her. She informs Serie that Fern won’t fail, that the age of humans has come and Fern will surprise her. That does happen, when Fern notices a minor fluctuation in Serie’s mana, evidence of it being supressed. Not even the oldest first class mage was able to sense it. She also declines becoming Serie’s apprentice.
  12. Rebel Transmute. A metroidvania that looks a lot like Metroid. I reached the second map and I'm enjoying it a lot. The only problem I have so far is the map that has some areas that don't look connected while they actually are. It's a little confusing when backtracking.
  13. Oh yes, that is him. So much for entering the dungeon bravely alone. Most of the other mages have no idea of Frieren's and Fern's true power. But it's interesting that someone like Ubel can use imagination to easily defeat even the strongest mages. If it was 80 years ago, then that is definitely true. It makes you wonder how boring these past decades have been for Frieren.
  14. Frieren 26 The second test is over. Frieren and Fern defeat Frieren's copy, Ubel cut Sense's clone to shreds and the others are saved at the last moment (after finding resurrected copies) when the demon is destroyed. Lawine had to give up, which gives me the impression Kanne won't make it. But if she succeeds, then they will never stop fighting. Despite the result, some things will never change: The episode ended with a strange scene. A guy that I don't remember seeing before appeared being cared by a golem and Richter asks something like "Wait, who are you?"
  15. Frieren 25 Most of the survivors finally realise that they should work together. They discuss some tactics and we learn how Kanne and Lawine contribute to that: Heiter was also very helpful in the past : Frieren and Fern enter alone to fight Frieren's copy, never revealing that they suppress most of their mana. I wonder if the others are aware of that. So, @Gorth who would rather have in your party, a drunk priest always in alcoholic coma or two mages who can't stop fighting?
  16. Frieren 24 While other contestants face the magical clones (or sit down crying), Frieren’s group looks for secret rooms and grimoires. Eventually they reach Denken’s party and find out about Frieren’s replica. Some thoughts here: if everyone went inside together, it would be a disaster. They would probably have to face multiple copies at the same time, including Sense’s and Frieren’s. And if they can’t handle Frieren as a group (or at least hesitated and tried to formulate a plan), imagine if the enemy was in greater numbers. The psycho girl, however, could have stopped Frieren’s copy simply looking through the keyhole. But she was busy elsewhere. Another easy way to win, which could be Fern’s idea, is to simply send a mimic to deal with Frieren’s clone. Later, one of the mages tried to determine if Frieren had any vulnerabilities. Frieren enjoyed it. Fern didn’t!
