Portraits III

Nice! I don't plan to use it, but I think it's a good one. I'm sure the dwarf fans will appreciate it. -

I epicly failed with this one, tried different options in gimp and the one below was the best I achieved. But I don't plan to use it. If someone else wants it, maybe they could try making a watercolor version. -

I made a few more, but I don't know how they will look in the game. Some of the small watercolors look bad when I resize, so I kept them larger, but with the right aspect ratio. This one is perfect for a no-nonsense character. He'll probably be my priest of Berath in my second or third playthrough: Original image: -
I agree. As for Berath's Blessings, I don't intend to use them as a cheat. Starting at level 4 and/or +2 on each stat? I can only imagine using that if I decide to play solo and I don't want to get the triple crown solo achievement (which I assume will not be available with Berath's Blessings). In a case like this it is not rally cheating, since the game would still be more difficult than playing with a 5 character party with no Blessings.

No Skaen's or Rymrgand curses. It'll be "Magran's Fires": "Another feature that the team is really excited about is what we are calling "Magran's Fires". Similar to Berath's Blessings, these modes can be enabled from the main menu and will add gameplay modifiers for challenges above and beyond Path of the Damned. In addition to the returning Triple Crown and Triple Crown Solo challenges, we will be rolling out challenges themed to Eora's gods, beginning with Berath, Galawain, and, of course, Magran." https://www.fig.co/campaigns/deadfire/updates/692

https://steamcommunity.com/games/560130/announcements/detail/1657767648992932225 "You'll find more enemies per encounter." Also, somebody asked if we could change a character's hair, but I can't find that thread: "Lastly, the team is also adding new cosmetic options for player customization with the ability to change character appearance at any time."

InsaneCommander replied to Spoting's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I don't remember when I learned that new releases would have bugs and I could have to wait some time to properly play a game. But it became a clear idea in my mind. My plan for Deadfire was to wait 2 weeks, or maybe 2 patches, before playing, just to make sure any serious bugs were addressed. I don't know when that will happen, but I'll try to wait. I've slowed down my third playthrough of PoE but even so I'll probably finish it next week. Then I'll probably succumb and start Deadfire in whichever state it is. -
I don't know if I can wait for the patch. The compulsion to play is too strong. Maybe I'll have mostly sidekicks in my party and avoid some of the problems with companion disposition/relations. And to plan my party in advance I need to know what are the class options for Mirke... Monk is one, right? Which could be the others? I'm guessing rogue.

Found more dwarves: Edit: 1 more: -
I wouldn't mind if they added new subclasses for the other Gods, even if they didn't come with the proper reaction. It would be cool to have different priests with specific spells granted on each level (ice for Rymrgand, Water for Ondra...) Btw, would it be too difficult to add some purely cosmetic variations for the Ranger's animal companions? - Bear: brown, black, polar - Wolf: gray, white, brown, fox? - Lion: lion, lioness, tiger, white tiger, black panther, young stelgaer - Stag: stag, moose - Antelope: antelope, ram - Boar: different colors?

Even my evil character (a Bleak Walker) found it outrageous. The leader of the fiercest warrior tribe couldn't kill a baby!? He was sentenced to death right there, before the conversation ended. Not to mention that it was a society that killed babies... In the end this character didn't keep Vela, but I'll retcon it using the legacy editor for obvious reasons.

I posted two characters in the portraits thread. I think it's ok for a first try. https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/99990-portraits-iii/page-9?do=findComment&comment=2032233

I followed the tutorial in the other thread: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/97149-tutorial-watercolor-portraits-in-the-gimp/ This is my first try: Original image: Original image: Notice that the smaller watercolor images are bigger than the ones in the game, but have the right proportion (I think ).
